Part may still be Kyle learning the playbook and getting timing down with everyone. However, the snaps in the preseason are going to be interesting to watch.

I honestly never saw that tweet. This whole thought came to me today after reading about how bad K. Allen has looked in camp so far. Matter of fact I almost didn’t post this because I already have an active post going on, I just didn’t want to lose or forget this observation. Obviously if there’s no Josh Allen then we’re screwed but maybe Barkley could fill in a game or two better than K. Allen due to the current roster that has been acquired, that is really the only point I was trying to make.

  2. By early reports Kyle Allen is struggling so far. He’s having trouble just getting the snap off which is worrisome. The collection of skilled position players in this offense rely heavily on timing which happens to be a strength of Barkley’s, he anticipates well and just remembering the effectiveness of the Rams’ The Greatest Show on Turf offense it relied on the timing of the pass. That high flying offense’s players were Faulk, Holt, Bruce, Hakim and even little Ricky Proehl that produced a ton of RAC. I believe that we have these very same components currently on the roster with Cook, Diggs, Davis, Sherfield, Shakir and/or Harty/Isabella.

When running 12 personnel the TEs would be the beneficiaries of Barkley’s timing/anticipation. If the play begins with unsettledness, which seems to be the issue with K. Allen right now, one could just throw this offensive philosophy right out the window, it just won’t work. I like to think that Barkley does have value when thinking of this offensive scheme and that he’s just not here because he’s Josh’s buddy. Give me a minute to put on my flame ######ant suit before this post gets going.

  3. I didn’t just want to use his name only for the title of this post but it’s true, I am glad that’s back, Lawson too. I saw in one of these posts where Phillips was being ridiculed about getting injured. If I’m not mistaken Phillips was injured chasing that idiot Mac Jones around at the end of the game. I appreciate his effort, going all out, unfortunately he got hurt. I like the way he plays for the Bills but more importantly I believe that him, and guys like him, is a true Bill. I think his attitude/mentality is quietly influencing that DL, not that any of these players aren’t already playing for the cause of the Bills it’s just that Phillips is vocal about how he feels playing for Buffalo. I guess was taken a back bit to feel like there is a good portion of Bills’ fans that exactly aren’t thrilled by him and/or his play. Correct me if I’m wrong about this. Thanks.

It really is the place to be.  Mormons or no Mormons.

Comparing St. George to the current version of Las Vegas is laughable.  Vegas is a hot mess.  I’m a bit worried about the infrastructure of the streets.  With so many people moving there rn, I wonder how long it will take for it to become a construction zone and encompassed with terrible traffic.

My wife’s sister and husband moved there with their kids about 15 years ago. A lot has changed with the Mormons, something with new laws that affected the housing of the polygamists. There is these massive compounds being foreclosed, standing empty, half remodeled. I’m starting to talk about things that I don’t know too much about so I’ll find out more and private message you. I’m not too sure about St George because my most recent visit, it was within the year, was to Hurricane which is a smaller town. I don’t believe there’s too much to be concerned with, you should be fine. My current situation is unstable, Utah may be in the cards for me. If so maybe we could hook up and have a couple of beers and maybe even watch a Bills’ game.

  5. I’ve been there a few times and my daughter lived there but now lives in Hurricane (pronounced Hurrican), Utah, less than 20 miles east of St George. Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place to live, Utah is now the state to be in, thinking about moving there myself. Mount Zion is impressive as well and there is a lot of man made lakes all around, you’ll enjoy living there.

  6. I can’t stand Brown. Not that Tasker isn’t clownish in his own right but at least he was a player and a great one at that and Brown would always come up some kind of stat line contest to make Tasker look more foolish than he already is. I can’t figure out for the life of me on how this little squirrel got any kind of gig with the Bills. He’s just a weasel and now the Bills are giving him more responsibilities??! The Bills have the worse public announcers than any other team that I can think of and that also includes Murphy. Who in the world is making these decisions??! I guess we were all spoiled with Van Miller! What a joy he was to listen to!

Which begs the question...what does he think Allen needs to do to reach that level or where is Allen lacking in comparison?  I don't think this is a dig at Allen at all, Beasley has said many times he thinks Allen can be the best QB in the league and has immense talent and ability.

I'm super curious as to what he thinks Allen needs to get better at in this department because all you have heard is how amazing Allen is as a leader since pretty much day 1...

I’m not trying to stick up for Beasley, just trying to be fair. He’s been bashed pretty good by some in the past and from what I know it was mostly due to being ant vaxxed. I agree with him, I didn’t get vaccinated and I sure am glad that I didn’t. I actually respect when someone takes a stance even if I don’t agree with them. As far as I’m concerned I really didn’t take issue with what he said but then. I’m not quite sure if Beasley goes about it the right way on social media. If I were a high profile athlete or celebrity I don’t think I’d be too active on social media, it’s causes too many problems and trouble for oneself, it’s not worth it imo.

Anyways here is a link to a fresh article about how great of a leader and person Dak Prescott is. I never realized or knew much about Dak but I’m going to start paying more attention to him. He sounds like a great guy and seems very interesting.  In today’s world it’s nice to hear such great things about the modern athlete. It’s refreshing to see that not everyone is a mess. Once again I don’t take any issue with Beasley saying that Dak is by far the best leader he has ever been around. I believe that Beasley was just being honest and sincere in what he was saying and meant no slice or ill will towards Josh or anyone else for that matter. People should be entitled to hear both sides to a person when such person comes under scrutiny.

Well, enough said. In closing I wish everyone a very happy and SAFE 4th of July!

    Go Bills!

This would be a fun thread for people to guess random players who will be busted (other than Isaiah Rogers). It’s kind of like when we guess a random player that the Bills will draft.

I’ll go first: Robert Spillane WLB - Raiders

    Tyreek Hill.

  9. I watched Rich Eisen and he talked about the Bills’ schedule and made some good points. When I thought about the games, both on the road against the Chiefs and Bengals holds great ramifications for all 3 teams. It can only go one of two different ways for all 3 teams. In scenario #1 one team goes 2-0, second team goes 1-1 and the third team goes 0-2 or scenario #2 is that all 3 teams go 1-1. If the pundits are correct these 3 teams will be battling for position in the play-offs so obviously these 3 games will make a major difference in the post season standings to all 3 teams.

The other realization that came to me is that the Bills have a potential 8 prime time games if you consider the season ender at Miami that is still undetermined. It starts off fairly well in the first few games, even the 2 on the road against the Jets in the season opener and then in game #3 against Washington due to geographically those 2 games are pretty close to home. Once they play against Jacksonville, technically a “home” game but according to Eisen the Jaguars are already in London because they (Jaguars) are playing 2 in a row over there with Buffalo being the second game to them (Jaguars) begins some journeys for the Bills. Buffalo goes 3-5, meaning 3 at home and 5 on the road in these prime time games. Also 6 out of the 8 games are against the AFC. Out of the 6 games against the AFC in prime time games 4 are on the road as well. The schedule makers, imo, didn’t do the Bills any favors. The Bills are gonna have to be road warriors in these prime time games just to have a chance of winning the division.

The people in this thread that thing McDermott took over playcalling duties to save his job are just adorable.

Make no mistake about it, sans a colossal disaster Sean McDermott is not getting fired after the season.  period.

IMO I think he took over duties because he wasn’t completely satisfied with the job Frazier did this season.  He knows that the Bills have a great chance to go all the way this season, and he’s rather put it all on his shoulders rather than someone else’s

What I was suggesting was image enhancing. As far as McDermott getting fired it’s way too early to predict that imo. There has to be a lot more evidence before that happens if it happens at all. McDermott has accomplished major strides for this organization and to think that people can predict his future before the season even starts is ludicrous to me. At the end of the season when the future of the Bills is being evaluated I would say that McDermott would have to have pretty much a total collapse before the higher ups call for his head. I’m hoping that we’ll see a vast improvement in results this year compared to the last few seasons. Btw, it’s not just McDermott who has to step up this season, imo, Dorsey and/or Allen have to step up as well.

  11. It seems to me that the defense is much different from last year’s. The 2023 defense appears built more on speed than the previous. The addition of Leonard, the speed of Dorian Williams and the re-signing of Oliver makes this defense a whole bunch faster, equating to getting to the QB quicker and more often.

McDermott knowing or realizing this he may have wanted to be credited with spearheading a defense like this, one that suddenly gain an uptick in turnovers and sacks, would make his image a bit more shiny.

There is literally nothing to support your notion that Brian Dabol wanted out of the Buffalo Bills, even if it was for an offensive coordinator position

Yes I do. I’m providing a link but there’s more than just one article about this.

    https://billswire.usatoday.com/2022/02/01/brian-flores-lawsuit-against-nfl-suggests-brian-daboll-wanted-to-leave-bills-sean-mcdermott-staff/

  13. I dunno, the last year and a half to 2 years Florio has been rabble rousing the notion that the current Bills’ administration is suspect and may not be the answer to getting the Bills to the promise land, whether it be Beane, McDermott or both. I can’t say that he’s wrong, especially after this latest fiasco, it was made to order for a gossip monger like Florio. I mean Florio’s whole existence depends on stirring the pot and the Bills handed him a real doozy to him on a silver platter. I just watched the latest episode of PFT where he actually called out McDermott for lying about the highly concerned/excused absence PCs. McDermott imo has been overplaying his hand a bit for some time now. There were rumblings about Dabol wanting out even it was just for another OC position to Frazier’s awkward release or whatever you want to call it. McDermott reminds me of Tony Dungy only with a more rigid way of getting his point across.

I think the best way for McDermott to get out from under fire is to come up with an awesome defense week in, week out and to ride the tandem of Rosseau and Leonard in particular.
