  1. Old dogs don't like to change their ways. I didn't realize this before, but do you think that this draft just might be the rest of a youth movement on the offense? I mean it's pretty youthful now, but maybe Buffalo grabs some of the last few pieces for the future.

Help me out here. The elder statesmen on the offense are, who? Moulds, Villiareal, and Damian Shelton? Anyone else? I'm not worried about Moulds, but think about it, this offense is young! The future CAN be molded to JP on offense! Aw man, this just dawned on me. I'm feeling a whole lot better about this draft.

  2. Teague didn't seem too happy with the Bledsoe move and next year a decision has to be made on a contract.

Assuming that Buffalo's 1st selection is at #55, I'd be happy if they select North Carolina's C Jason Brown.

    * Choose at least one of the above suggestions. Player, position or the number of pick that Buffalo makes with their first selection. Include the reason(s) why or how.

  3. I think the way JP may have meant it is that this is the position that he plays and , as they say, you can't see the trees because you're in the forest. Or something like that.

Did I screw that up? I don't know. I think I would have to hear it for myself and see if he had sarcastic tones and if he was just merely speaking from the heart. I do like that he has the desire to do the best that he can be and publicly come out with it and say it. He of all people realizes how scrutinized he already is and he didn't shy away from the issue or responsibility of his job desciption. Kudos to Big Cat.

  4. I just don't know why people get so nasty and mean towards each other for having a different opinion. I enjoy hearing all points of view, even if I don't agree. Most of us are pulling for the same team, right? I do understand that Buffalo fans are very passionate and I'm proud of that. I just hope that Buffalo does win a Super Bowl while I'm alive. I've been, as everybody else has, been thru alot of ridicule. 'Cuse won a national championship and now all that would be is for Buffalo to win it all. I will say, I do believe that we will with this administration.

  5. I been coming up with many, many trade scenarios. All of them ARE possible, just not probable. I don't take issue with that, but to be repeatedly told that this can't be done or that can't be done, it just blows my mind. We have a GM that has PROVEN time and again that he's capable of doing ANYTHING that he deems.

Here is a guy that took over a team and gutted it, without blinking an eye. How about MaGahee? I would love to see what the opinion was around here BEFORE we selected him. I must admit, even that one dropped my jaw. One other mention, outside of one guy (JP-era I'm told), who anticapated the JP move? I could imagine what the poor SOBs would of had to go thru around here if they made these predictions before the fact.

Just enjoy the speculating without getting bitter and be thrilled with the suspense. This drama is only once a year, so cut loose and just go with the flow. Afterall, we are all Bills' fans and we should be supporting each other not aborting each other.

  6. Coach Gibbs is looking for a good attitude and character. Appears that he's getting a belly full of these Hurricanes and their antics. They really need a CB and Antrell Rolle should be available here. I doubt very highly that Gibbs would want to deal with another 'Cane. The 'Skins will be on the move. They wouldn't have traded all those picks (including next year's #1) just to get a 1st rd pick at #25 anyways. Who are they going to approach?

tick tock tick tock tick tock

  7. With all this talk of teams low balling us, maybe this trade is not such a bad idea afterall. We wouldn't even have to take Edwards, we could a trade down with someone else. I'd rather have Edwards though.

"Like sand through an hourglass, so are the days of our lives".

  8. I didn't want to trade Clements, I'd rather resign him. BUT if he is just going to be a FA after this season and we get compensated NOTHING, then it's time to get a fair return on our investment.

I made all kinds of trade scenarios, but the responses are rather negative, so I won't make one now. The only point that I want to make about trading (reguardless who it is) is there can be many variations that can be spun from it.

It's time to get us some draft pick(s) and/or veteran player(s).

  9. Would trading Josh Reed for a draft pick be outrageous? There is nothing wrong with trading if you get a fair return. If Josh Reed is more important on the team than another prospect, than I'm all for it.

Are we satisfied with having our first pick coming in the last third of the 2nd rd? This whole message board is for entertainment purposes, I'm not trying to incite anyone. The speculating is a blast and it only really comes around once a year. I hope everyone is having as much fun as me this year, wondering what our team is going to do. Bottom line, I wish the Bills the best of luck in the upcoming draft and year. Enjoy tomorrow everybody!

With the 55th pick, the Buffalo Bills select..............?

  10. Who is the best player in the draft? Braylon is, that's who. So why settle for anything less? Here's something to think about.

The Titans are in desparate need for a CB and they hold the #6 pick overall. Good-bye Nate.

Tampa needs a RB and Henry wants out. I pronounce you man and wife.

CB Ronde Barber is in a contract dispute and now Buffalo needs a CB. Ronde, how do you like your wings, hot or mil

Buffalo is without a 1st rd pick this year, but you know what they say, there's always next year.

Hello San Fran, how would you like to only move down four slots and get another 1st rd pick AND a 2nd rd pick?

Bottom line; Last year Buffalo invested a 1st rd pick in this year's draft. I say defer the payment. CB Nate Clements could very well not be a Buffalo Bill next year. Ronde Barber is a pro bowler. Trade Henry to Tampa for Barber. Position filled. Instead of having our 1st pick come in the 2nd rd have it be the 1st pick overall. Trade our 2nd rd (#55) pick this year and our 1st rd pick next year to San Fran with the #6 pick that we get from the Titans for Clements. We won't have to worry about Moulds replacement or his contract next year now will we?

Just something to think about. Have a good day.

  11. He's a better ST'er. Although he played well, Surtain is a better CB. Nothing wrong with improvement. I'd like to feel a little more comfortable about the future of our secondary too. Right now CB Nate Clements' future is undetermined. Signing a CB this year will be cheaper than signing one next year. The question I posted is " Should Buffalo and Miami hammer out a trade?". What do you think- yes or no?

  12. If Buffalo isn't fairly compensated with at least a decent 3rd rd pick or better yet a 2nd rd pick, then maybe a trade of a different kind can still benefit us. I don't think at this time that anybody involved in Buffalo wants Henry to remain on the roster. If a draft pick can't be worked out then maybe a player for player trade can be lucrative.

Here's athought. Miami is looking to trade CB Patrick Surtain and it's time for the Bills to boot Henry. They help us and we help them and when we play each other twice a year we can thank each other. We would actually get the better of this deal just in the aspect that Miami won't be able to pass or run on us. With Clements unresolved and McGee being better suited to play ST and the nickel package, we would have a shut down secondary. Both Miami and Buffalo are looking for a 2nd rd pick for their players. Walla! It should be cheaper to secure a CB this year then next's. Don't think that this could be done so easily with Clements this year. He's close to completing his contract and I'm sure he is going to want to test the market for compensation, reguardless if he stays in Buffalo.

Keep in mind that with Surtain he's real familiar with this division and it's offenses. Who knows, maybe Moulds and him can kiss and make up. Would you want Surtain opposite Clements?
