  1. How can you say being named ACC player of the year over a guy named Russell Wilson (and EJ Manuel) "nothing"? Rushing for more yards in college than Mike Vick? Taylor was an exceptional collegiate player.
  2. I would welcome James Hardy back for a tryout. He was looking great in Ravens camp but then injuries ruined his chance to make the team.
  3. Buster Davis was a first rounder also and has shown flashes when he hasn't been injured. If he can stay healthy, I like the skillset he brings to the table.
  4. If Lee Evans played for any other team and we traded away a 4th rounder for him people would be up in arms! You guys are seeing the name Lee Evans and thinking (2006) when in reality he hasn't been that player in a very long time.
  5. I seriously must have been watching a different Lee Evans the past few years than the rest of you guys. He's just not that good to get this upset over. Take a deep breathe people and repeat after me: "it's just Lee Evans"
  6. All I'm saying is if that is the going rate for a first ballot hall of famer, Lee Evans for a 4 isn't that bad. Plus, what has Lee Evans been doing? He had one good game last year which happened to be against baltimore -- that's it. The bills will not miss a bit. I'm very interested to see what Buster Davis or Easley or even Nelson can do. They definitely will not be afraid to go over the middle like Lee was his entire career.
  7. I can't believe the negative reaction on this board. It's Lee "freaking" Evans. Randy Moss, a first ballot hall of famer only got a 4th rounder from New England. Marshall Faulk in his prime was only worth a 2nd from the Rams. Lee Evans has been a bum on the field since JP Losman was here. He can only run one route. OMG, you would think the Bills have traded away Jerry Rice or someone who has averaged more than 50 catches for his career. Holy cow, at his best Lee Evans was just a glorified Santana Moss -- and that was years ago. Get over it, the Bills saved a good 3 million dollars for a guy who was giving them little to no impact -- and picked up a 4th rounder to boot. Everybody wins in this deal. Good luck to you, Lee!
  8. I will keep banging the Colt Brennan drum until i'm blue in the face. Hell, Jamarcus Russell is better than the QBs on our team. Jamarcus freaking Russell!
  9. I could care less what Mike Vick does off the field. Will he help the Bills win between the hashmarks? hell yes. And you know what, as an added bonus is super exciting to watch. The man paid his debt to society, he didn't kill any people. I don't see the outcry for game hunters bagging their latest trophy. In that case, it's considered "sport"...right. In the final analysis, Vick is a better option at QB than the trash we currently have. Whatever he does off the field is irrelevant to me, provided he is in good standing with the law. He served his time, now he deserves a shot.
  10. If Jeff George was still 26 or 27 instead of 42 years old, I would endorse signing him also
  11. How is a 70% completion percentage "not that great"? And here is what former coach June Jones has to say about your "system QB" theory: And while it may take that long to learn the entire playbook, you can easily scale it back for the first few weeks. Colt Brennan is a natural passer, he would look better than Trent without any playbook.
  12. If there is anything I can say with certainty it is this: Our QB of the future is not on the roster. Is Colt Brennan that guy? Probably not. But anytime I've watched this guy play i've been struck by his competitive spirit, his hair trigger release, and his uncanny accuracy. He also just happens to be on the FA list at the moment and would offer us something neither Fitzpatrick, Edwards or Brohm do. That my friends is hope. After setting all kinds of records in college football, Brennan has yet to be given a shot to show what he can do in a real game. From a physical measurables perspective, he can do everything Drew Brees can do. Anyone else remember his first preseason game a few years ago? There is a better than 85% chance Colt Brennan will flame out with this team just as the trash we currently roster has. But since he is sitting on the waiver wire, and we have no one of consequence on the team as it is, why not sign him? Are you listening Nix/Ralph? We are the perfect team to give him an opportunity.
  13. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...yers/70625.html BIO: Track and field sprint champion awarded All-Conference honors the past two years. Led the team in receiving as a senior posting 30/884/9, averaging 29.5 yards per reception. Also averaged 35.5 yards on 25 kick returns, bringing five back for scores. Junior receiving numbers included 40/977/9. POSITIVES: Explosive pass catcher with homerun hitting speed. Physical and battles to make the tough reception. Easily outruns opponents down the field and a scoring threat any time he gets his hands on the ball. NEGATIVES: Has character questions, which must be answered. Very raw and must improve his route running skills and pass catching consistency. Does not consistently play to his timed speed. ANALYSIS: A prospect everyone is talking about after an outstanding Combine, Mathis is a tremendous athlete still developing as a football player. Possesses the size to be a number one receiver at the next level, yet not the sure thing many are making him out to be. Offers tremendous long-term potential and can be a big play threat as a rookie in the NFL, but must fully develop his game.
  14. Definitely Torry Holt, or whatever athlete they decide to throw to the lions for a "players perspective." They just don't have the polish of a seasoned broadcaster and they make way too many mistakes....Holt keeps getting the players names wrong.
  15. okay...who is Mr. Larry? is this thread legit or just spam?
