  1. Very simply put, yes.

He showed something in last years week 17 game.  Zack Moss has been well below replacement level at the position, so what do we have to lose.

Moss shouldn't see a uniform for the rest of the season, and I'd split the carries like this:

    Breida: 50%

    Singletary: 30%

    Williams: 20%

Bump Williams up some if he shows you something.

  2. 100%.

McDermott continues to come up small in the biggest moments. The situational execution in the Redbone is maddening, the blown timeouts is maddening, the failed reviews is crazy. Handing the ball off to Zack "run into my own players" Moss is a total waste.

He needs to the the blame for this game. I saw him barking at his sideline when thr clock got reset and he realized they weren't going to get the ball back.

No that's on you Sean for only having 1 timeout, because you blew 2. Dude needs to take some responsibility for his failed game management.

  3. These huge Cap jumps are going to favor the better teams in my opinion.

If a really crappy team had $80M in cap space and offers player A $18M per year

A good team has $45M in cap space and offers same player A $16M per year

I'd imagine a lot of FA will pick the better team.

Long way of saying when most teams are flush with cash its going to be tough for crappy teams to outbid the good ones.

  4. I'm not a huge fan of his as an announcer. He's always got that half baked, giggly demeanor, and never really says anything that's the least bit interesting or outside the box.

    Aikman and Buck are awful

    The MNF crew are unlistenable

It's kinda crazy how many bad announcers make obscene dough.  I feel like most are totally replaceable.

  5. We all know one of the Patriots defensive staples under Bills B is to bracket cover a teams #1 weapon and then stick their best CB on the teams #2 weapon

That got me thinking who would Bill B identify as our #2 weapon. My answer, which I think is fairly obvious is Dawson Knox, especially when the Bills get inside the 30 yard line (or what is being called the high redzone)

I think Diggs will be bracket covered by CB2 and a S and Dawson Knox is going to see a lot of physical bump and run from Kyle Dugger. We will need Cole Beasley, Emanuel Sanders and Gabe Davis to step up and make plays.

This is going to be a game where Allen has to get through his progressions and systematically slice and dice his way down the field.  You know the Pats will look to spy Allen and keep him from escaping the pocket, particularly to his right (where he's pretty lethal).

    We need Josh's A game!

I fear every team, every week, and just hope to make the playoffs.

Sorry if this isn’t playing along, but I’ve been at this a LONG time. I try to never get ahead of things.

Having said that, I fear power running teams. The Colts, Pats and Titans are made to take advantage of lighter, faster defenses designed to face the pass heavy offenses of today’s NFL.

I'm with you and the Bills missing the playoffs is not as crazy as it seemed just a few short weeks ago.  They've got a ton of work to do & the offense eis going to have to be waaaayyy more consistent if they want to string a few wins in the playoffs together, no doubt.

  7. Because the AFC standings are so close and jumbled this year I was thinking about which teams I'd fear the most in the playoffs.  Here's my list:

    1. Chiefs

Yea I know they're a bit off this season l, but it's Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Kelce, enough said

    2. Colts

It might be recency bias, but I think they're a tough match-up for us. Wentz is playing pretty well and I think Frank Reich is one of the better HC's. They might not even get in, and that's what I'm rooting for because I think they're good.

    3. Bengals

Really good QB, excellent WR Corp, good RB, defense is good.  Who the hell is covering JaMarr Chase. I think Burrow has what it takes to put together a magical playoff run.

    4. Pats

Next week will tell us a lot, but as of now they are playing well.  I think Mac is due for an "exposed" type game, but Bill B. @ HC is as good as it gets

    5. Browns

They might not make it & many woud have the Ravens or Titans here instead, but I think the Browns have a similar recipe as the Colts in the way they can play. Bakers not playing well, but chances are he'll be a lot healthier come playoffs.

    6. Titans

No Henry knocks them down some, but if they've got AJ Brown and Julio ready in the playoffs they're still a viable team.

    7. Ravens

I'm lower on the Ravens than most. I think McDermott's proven he's got a nice defensive formula vs. Lamar.  I dont think Lamar has what it takes as a passer to make a deep playoff run. If the Bills dont take credit of business & get in the dance I've got a gut feeling we are going to play them and I welcome it.

    8. Raiders

    Meh. Not good, not bad.

    9. Chargers

Seems like they should be higher, but something is off with this team. They're like the anti Pats. Have all the name cache, but lose way too often

    10. Steelers

Probably won't get in, but we have seen what their D is capable of when healthy.

    11. Broncos

Teddy Bridgewater in the playoffs? Sign me up, Id love that matchup

It's a strange year because in my eyes there's not a huge gap between 2 though 7. The chiefs are comfortably by #1 most feared opponent, but after that it's kinda like pick your flavor.......

    Where am I wrong?

  8. I know I'm not the only Bills fan that feels thus way, but, Spencer Brown missing this game is being massively underrated in betting markets.  His removal from the starting lineup has huge negative ripples on the entire offense and yet the line didn't move at all. It was -7 before his Covid news broke, and it remains @ -7.

My heart wants to say the Bills win, but I Frank Reich is going to cook up a nice plan for Carson Wentz to attack our zone defense, and it'll be enough to skirt by our hampered offense.

    Colts - 24

    Bills - 19

  9. I like Beasley. Very talented and fills a big role on this team. I'm also confident the Bills will be able to find a solid and young WR either in the draft or in FA to link up with Allen once Beasley is gone. WR has become one of the deepest positions in all of the NFL.

  10. Tops Diner, about 15 minutes from MetLife Stadium is rated as one of the best Diners in America.  They actually just opened their new building (which they built across the street from their original location) last month.

I went there after a Bills Jets game a few years back and it was pretty damn good. Depending on the prices on StubHub I might buy some tickets last minute, dinner @ Tops afterwards for me for sure.

  11. Antonio Williams, while they're at it too. He at least showed something in week 17 last year. Moss and Singletary are at this point are both, at best, replacement level players. Can't hurt to throw another replacement level player in and see if you can't get something out of them.

  12. Bills 30

    Jags 24

Bills are pretty banged up. I think this is going to be another semi-ugly game that the Bills are able to win. My biggest hope is getting out of the game healthy.  Listening to Urban Meyers presser I thought there were some subtle hints that they're telling their guys to hit Allen hard if they run him.

  13. LUMEN Field, where the Seahwaks play, and a stadium the Bills are rumored ti want to mimic cost $430M to build in 1999. Adjusted for inflation to the year 2020 that cost is $619M.

For a new Bills stadium, located in OP, to cost $1.35B, more than double a stadium built in downtown metropolitan Seattle (where real estate costs waaayyyy more than Orchard Park) is truly remarkable. And this figure is inflation adjusted.

NFL owners have done a tremendous job convincing state governments that their teams need these $1.5B palaces in order to play. And why wouldn't they when nearly 50% of the funds are handouts.  Why the Bills would need a stadium that cost double Seattle's stadium is beyond comprehension.  The companies that build these palaces must shake their head in disbelief @ what they're able to charge.

I've never understood how the costs on these stadium builds have doubled and even tripled (inflation adjusted) over the least 15-20 years. It's comical.

  14. This guy checks all the boxes as a trade candidate:

    - young

    - inexpensive

    - has another cheap yr. left after this yr.

    - very talented @ a position of need

    - the Falcons stink & could perhaps be convinced into selling off assets.

The reason a deal like this doesn't happen is if the Falcobs decide they are going to blow it up this offseason, as they should, they'd probably want to keep good, young OL around.

It would take a big offer, perhaps a 2nd and 4th rounder, which I'm still not sure would be enough to entice the Falcons, but it'd be a big get for the Bills.

    Dawkins-Lindstrom-Morse-Williams-Brown

& then in this coming years draft you go get Lindstroms younger brother, Alec, who's supposedly a pretty good C prospect.

Lindstrom plays RG with the Falcons so you'd have to figure out who shifts Ober to LG between he and Williams.  I realize that's not an easy transition, but it'd still be a big upgrade over what we currently have.

  15. A blockbuster trade for me would be one in which the Bills git a young premier WR off of a team that thinks they're not great this year and might be up for a rebuild next year.

Maybe a team like the Seahawks

Maybe for a player like DK Metcalf.

Would it ever happen? No, but that'd be the type of player, it you're asking blockbuster.

  16. I dont think WR is something that will be addressed at this deadline, but long term we do need a young infusion with an emphasis on speed/quicks. A player with a skill set like Rondale Moore, with serious YAC skills would take this offense to another level, IMO

  17. Dr. Chao on twitter, who's pretty spot on when it comes to injuries and recovery times, has it as a grade 2 PCL strain. Normal recovery time of 2-4 weeks, if it's grade 3, which he didn't rule out it would be a bit longer.

So by the sounds of it, it looks like he's def. out the next 2 games and a better than 50/50 chance he's out for the Bills game. Although a 3 week return is possible according to the Dr's timeline.

If Wilson is put on IR he'd be out 3 games ensuring he misses the Bills game.

If Jets don't IR Zach Wilson by the end of this week, it'd be a sign they think he can get back in time for Bills game. We will see

  18. I'm not sure a trade is in the cards for the Bills, but for my money the biggest weakness on this team is Interior OL.

Ford stinks and has been sent to the bench

Daryl Williams is the only G who's at least avg. & he was just moved there, which tells you more about the lack of good Gs on this roster

Feliciano is below avg, or at best replacement level

Ike Boettger is not very good.

So we have 1 avg starter, 1 below avg starter, and 2 bad backups.....Bills would be in a huge bind if Daryl Williams got nicked up.

If Beane were to look to upgrade the roster I'd hope it'd be for a above avg to good G, especially one that excels as a pass blocker, which is obviously much more important to the Bills
