  1. The Devils won't beat the Sabres. See the most recent game, when the Sabres didn't even have Max, Connolly, or Lydman (the Devils were missing Gionta and Madden) and were playing in Jersey.
  2. Not exactly. They're both idiots. Jerry's just a bigger idiot in this case.
  3. You can't expect to get a 3rd rounder, or even a pick at all. All it will take is for the Chargers to sign ONE UFA next year and they won't get anything for losing Turner. Of course the Chargers could lose other players, but if what you say about most players being under contract is true, that's about as guaranteed as getting a 3rd rounder for Turner. Everything is negotiable. And talk is cheap. Given that the odds are heavily stacked against the Chargers winning the SB next year, AJ needs to determine if getting something for Turner, even if it's a lot less than he wants, is better than getting nothing a year later. In salary, but not draft picks. The Bills are fine WRT the cap so it's not an issue, whereas retainining as many quality draft picks as they can IS.
  4. I disagree that it wasn't intentional or was an honest mistake. First of all, black people are varying shades of brown, so the association IS there. It's not like they called it "honkey brown," which would have made NO sense whatsoever. But I've never heard of "African-American" brown, much less "black" brown, much MUCH less "N*^%$#" brown. Have you? Is there nothing brown in China except for black people, and are all black people there the same color as those pieces of furniture? Basically the intention WAS there. Second of all, it's not like you go to your handy-dandy Chinese-American dictionary, look-up "African American," and get the N word. Or maybe it's Chinese Thesaurus that's the problem?
  5. No, they don't get paid. It's voluntary. And they're looking for writers.
  6. Somehow I doubt "brown like African Americans" is much better.
  7. Is that worse than say, a bull getting his nuts cinched-up by a rope?
  8. Okay, since we're not getting anywhere here, let me know (and this applies to anyone) what would constitute Marv getting "taken to the cleaners." Is it giving-up the 12th overall pick? Sorry, no way that happens.
  9. It's all about Lindy, the salary cap, and the new rules.
  10. True, but so have all but 2 other teams. I guess that means that the Bills will get fleeced by almost everyone.
  11. It's a real shame that all that talent is gonna take a backseat to the Sabres' dominance over the next few years.
  12. What did he do? And realize how much he spent on a pick and salary on Rivers when he had Brees.
  13. I meant it's easier when you have those picks in a single draft and can maneuver in and out of spots at will to get the players you want. With Miami, he was picking in the middle of each round and never had more than 1-first day pick.
  14. Hard to call him a bust when he suffered an ACL injury before ever really even practicing with the team. That being said, he might not ever reach his potential because of the injury, both physically and psychologically.
  15. It helps when you have 2 extra 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks to play with.
  16. Caveat emptor. Beware of any guy who surpasses his CAREER stats in a contract season. Not to mention the Pats' front-7 makes the secondary look better than it is.
  17. No, it was one of those "in hindsight it was a dumb comment" types of things.
  18. The first one is stupid because, well, Mick Jagger WAS singing "Satisfaction" when he was 45, and still is.
  19. What did you think the "H" stood for?
  20. Why make fun of your uncle? He had a pretty successful band for awhile there.
