  1. Pretty close. I think it's passed the TracyLee/BF "DVD burning is illegal but not enforcable, hence legal if someone throws a cup at Ron Artest" train wreck... Ed's Fit thread disappeared because...well, I don't know, but it's been suggested that it's because Ed couldn't take the heat any longer. That he also bought a gay car is not considered coincidental...
  2. This is meazza, though. His definition of a 50/50 call is probably "a call that would go in Italy's favor 95% of the time". And call him an idiot. Go ahead. He likes it. Even if you don't, he's going to act like you did...friggin' Italians, always diving...mother!@#$ing genius, I tell you...
  3. How many times a week do they use it correctly? It's got to be less than three...
  4. So the NYT is cleared of any and all wrong-doing because the story they broke as a leaked secret turned out to not even be remotely secret to begin with... So they're not guilty of compromising national security (I never thought they were in this case anyway - it's been a publicly admitted program for years). They're just guilty of being idiots for reporting a "secret" that apparently everyone except the NYT knew. S--- like this is why I ignore the mainstream "This is important, because we put it above the fold on the first page" media.
  5. The "alleged disbanding" of the OBL task force was actually the integration of those people and assets into the overall effort to combat fundamentalist Islamic terrorism. This is because of the recognition that not only is bin Laden marginalized, but the problem is bigger than "just bin Laden", but is actually the entire constellation of Islamic terrorist groups as a whole. A recognition that obviously some of you (and yes, I mean you, evil B word devil snake woman) don't possess.
  6. They do. It's just that they pretend to lose most of the time...
  7. All my base are belong to stick men.
  8. Says the guy who publicly admitted for the attention to buying a gay car...
  9. And the administration sat on it for a full year...conveniently, until a few months before mid-term elections.
  10. I think my comment about needing Vagisil to detail the car drove him over the edge...
  11. Sell, hell. I'm rebalancing...
  12. Who cares. The stock market's going down today. We're in another bear market...
  13. By the outrage of the public. Capricious outrage, I hasten to add...
  14. Though actually, there are people within the Civil Rights movement itself nowadays that see it in just those terms. You see that most frequently in the feminist movement: the idea that women become stronger by demeaning men. Well...maybe, proportionally. But it doesn't really benefit anyone. Eventually, sooner than we think, we'll start seeing the same philosophy in the Hispanic immigrant community. Since a portion of the illegal immigrant community (i.e. Hispanics) is functionally illiterate in English, the easiest way to achieve equality of opportunity is for them to try to make English speakers functionally illiterate as well...i.e., refuse conduct business in anything but Spanish. I see instances of it every so often locally (just yesterday, I couldn't fill a prescription in a pharmacy because the pharmacist, though clearly fluent in English judging by the paperwork she was filling out, refused to speak anything but Spanish to me.) Some people on the other side of the Civil Rights movement see them differently, though. I have no idea how anyone begins to believe Al Sharpton represents their interests...but they do. And Martin Luther King Jr. is rolling over in his grave.
  15. Saddam killed your family?
  16. I was pretty sure you were asking me specifically. I'm also surprised no one jumped all over my misspelling of "grammar" yet.
  17. There's still grammer for people to !@#$ up...
  18. Interesting viewing habits there...
  19. "I Punched Saddam in the Mouth" More war atrocities...
  20. But they dehumanize whites more than minorities, so that's okay. Look at the current crop of "leaders" of the Civil Rights movement. Jesse Jackson. Al Sharpton. You think they worry about dehumanizing anyone?
  21. At least I'm honest about it. Some do. Many do, I think. Not each and every single one, like Wacko says. I figured maybe 50% of maybe eight million, as an admitted guess. After some googling, looks more like 50% of 5 million. No, they use suicide bombers. Make sure every time anyone in Israel takes the bus or goes out for lunch, they run a measurable risk of dying a violent death. But that's not collective punishment because...? Because it's entirely unreasonable to invade an autonomous territory from which a democratically elected representative government engages in acts of war against you. Just in case you conveniently forgot: Hamas, the party elected by the Palestinian people, shelled Israel and kidnapped Israeli citizens. The democratically elected Palestinian Authority as a representative of the Palestinian people committed acts of war against a soverign nation. And why? Because the democratically elected Palestinian Authority, as a representative of the Palestinian people, has a stated policy of destroying Israel. At the risk of breaking the First Rule of Internet Debate ("He who brings up the Nazis first, loses."), Nazi Germany was crushed in part because they did just that to Poland. There are repercussions to committing acts of war on a neighbor. Doesn't say a whole hell of a lot for the viability of an independent Palestinian state that they can't recognize that simple fact...
  22. Only if it's a tax cut passed by the Republicans...
  23. Pulled it out of my ass, actually. It's probably low...there's a couple million Palestinian refugees outside Israel and the occupied territories alone...
