  1. When I was a kid, my dad sold our Maverick to North Side Salvage in East Rochester for two used tires and just enough to buy a six-pack of Genny Cream Ale.
  2. I like the poll just the way it is.
  3. First off, I don't think he is "nitpicking." You said high, but you were wrong and that is important. Second, you have now in two consecutive posts downplayed Donte Whitner's value, as well. That is a hug mistake. Whitner is the leader of this defense and one of the biggest leaders of the team on and off the field. His value is very high. Yes, I think McCargo is a bust. Of course, most of us thought Ashton Youboty was bust just a couple months ago. Busts happen all the time. But we did not draft two of them in 2006's first round.
  4. To be fair, Steely one, you put the proper disclaimer right up front on this one. Take it all in the good humor it was meant.
  5. Now don't take it personally. My post was in defense of EZC's mindset not an attack on you. I'm just saying some fans want everyone to know everything about the team, but we should all know that isn't possible.
  6. Thanks, bud! You're not tardy until the party is over, which won't be until late Sunday.
  7. I think a lot of us can understand when EZC, a truly dedicate fan, gets a little irritated when a poster here puts something up that Bills fans with above average interest in the team have known since the day our coach was hired.
  8. Betty Botter bought some butter, but she said the butter's bitter.
  9. But a lot botter.
  10. Would you please elaborate? If you're going to tell someone they are completely wrong, please at least tell them why you feel that way.
  11. Very nice. And not to get greedy here, but Mr. April should not be overlooked.
  12. Collective nouns are great yet grossly underused.
  13. Tim reports...
  14. He's trailing Brees and Culter. Brees may be the best QB in football, but his 2-2 team is hapless.
  15. I appreciate the info.
  16. Fair winds and following seas, skipper.
  17. I looked around before I posted it, but there is nothing that I see stating it has to be seafaring foul. Here is the best definition I can find: Merriam-Webster Dictionary Of course, there is always this one: Urban Dictionary So while not cliché, I don't think gaggle is incorrect. But I am certainly open to further discussion. Oh, and in reference to "sedge," are you sure you don't mean "skein"?
  18. Chris Brown reports... Not practicing yesterday for Arizona: WR Anquan Boldin DE Bert Berry (Cards's top pass rusher) SS Adrian Wilson (Pro Bowler) TE Leonard Pope (starter) TE Jerame Tuman (backup) For the Bills, Terrence McGee did not practice, either.
  19. The funniest part of this, for me, it was just a few days ago when he named Trent his league MVP for the 1st quarter of the season. Plus, Monday he ranked the Bills #5 in the NFL and left the Cards off his top 15. Consistency, please...
  20. stevewin, Thanks for the reply. You gave me some solid advice back when I started a thread here about my first year coaching youth football. Your words helped then, and I am sure they will again now.
  21. Ha ha. Thanks, and damn that's a good memory. That quote is from more than two years ago. Well, I never got VD and it seems to be quite all right. I'm more than happy with the man we drafted first that day instead, now my favorite Bill.
  22. Thank you, Lori. I really appreciate that, and the feelings certainly are mutual. I will take you up on your offer before too long, but the second and third rounds are on me.
  23. Thanks, Rich. Of course, the Bills aren't playing the Ravens this weekend, so there is no reason to come up.
