  1. In response to a question asked around 2:20 in the following video, Offensive Linemen Coach Aaron Kromer mentions Chris Williams "isn't here at this point." Aaron Cromer speaks with media I wonder why, and I wonder who else is choosing to bypass the voluntary workouts.
  2. Fair enough. I read it to mean that poster's own past observations cause him to lack confidence in EJ's ability to out perform the competition. The key I agree with in that statement is that where a guy was drafted, etc., won't factor into who wins this competition.
  3. Bingo. They've said everything in the past will be left in the past.
  4. They need better management of the concessions. (I am not applying). Last season more than a few counters were under-stocked, under-staffed and did not have enough product ready to go during the busiest times. These stands could make a lot more money and make a lot of fans happier. And, as said above, please let us keep the caps to water bottles we buy. My kid spills everything. If they don't change that this year, I will get creative enough to sneak in water bottles or at least a couple caps myself. I do like the increased security. They aren't well trained to cool down heated exchanges, but I don't care because my family and I aren't giving others grief. So we're left alone by security.
  5. Coach Lynn appears to be a very intense man.
  6. I see no reason to presume such a thing. Johnson certainly didn't lose the Tenny game, but Flutie got us there and may well have had the Bills far enough ahead to avoid the disaster.
  7. Keep it in perspective. Roman is a football coach, paid to coach. Joe B. is supposedly a journalist, paid to write.
  8. I really like Roman's personality. Definitely head coaching caliber ability in press conferences.
  9. It really is scary to think how close we were to having Marrone for several more years.
  10. I believe Rex had trouble recalling Brown's name after Brown hadn't shown up. We just didn't know it yet.
  11. Seriously, the Bills could win that.
  12. Well, that's one less guy Freddy needs to worry about in the fight for a roster spot. Makes me wonder if Brown wants out.
  13. I just watched the video, and I cannot say Roman's denial of the reports were as adamant as those tweets led me to believe, initially. I guess I read more into them than intended. By that, I mean Roman is giving EJ a fair shot but it didn't seems like a ringing endorsement, either. In other words, no news here.
  14. Roman could very well be throwing that word around a little loosely, but if he means it...that's significant. Lynn is throwing it down. Brown is clearly on notice. Wonder if he shows up tomorrow morning.
  15. To be fair, he wasn't asked about Taylor.
  16. And Tom Brady, Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Doug Williams, Jeff Hostetler and Trent Dilfer (all QBs who started a season as a backup and went on to win the Super Bowl). Only two quarterbacks in history won the starting role in their rookie preseasons and won a Super Bowl without ever riding the pine, and that is Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson.
  17. Yes, because the Ravens were already Joe Flacco's team when Taylor was drafted. Keep in mind B'More was a contender the entire time Taylor was there. I think it says a lot they were content to keep him as their backup, even in his rookie year, knowing he'd have a huge responsibility to keep the train moving if Flacco went down. The Ravens turned down the Jets' attempt to trade for him, tried to re-sign him, etc. Not to compare QBs, but I remember a couple current superstar QBs being backups until the guys in front of them retired or were injured.
  18. I'd be thrilled, happy for the rest of my life. In fact, I've pledged to walk away from being a fan of pro football one week after the Bills win the big one. I'll be done - content, needing nothing more from this great sport.
  19. Joe Buscaglia took his speculation to the next level Friday on Rochester radio. He said this season's team is Cassel's to lose, adding he doesn't think Taylor can win the starting job unless Cassel is abysmal in camp. He went on to say he believes EJ has an uphill battle in front of him not to become the starter bust just to make the 53-man roster. He specially said he can foresee EJ getting cut. I know cutting EJ costs the Bills more than if they just kept him on the roster. I'd think a trade or finding a way to put EJ on IR would be ideal if they really don't want him to have a roster spot. I have to believe this speculation is way too early even for reporters on the Bills beat.
  20. What a wonderful problem to have.
  21. Can you imagine the Terminator lined up at tightend in a WHAM scheme? He may just break someone's earhole.
  22. I was not being sarcastic. I'll give some credit to Marrone for turning around the team's attitude, but I think real credit goes to Whaley, Schwartz and most to the defensive personnel, especially leaders such as Kyle and Mario. Yes, he said he is in this screen grab (I believe he's saying he is the guy in blue) from the Bills' behind the scenes draft video:
  23. Looks way less than enthused. Gronk seemed shocked.
  24. You work for the team, right? You said yesterday you were in the draft room, right? You even pointed yourself out in the draft video. I get that you're not claiming to speak for the team, but you just made one hell of a statement. A couple of statements, in fact.
