  1. Need another option for this poll: "Old, often injured, fumbles, expensive #4, and it's time to move on"

    Old - Yes

    Often injured - Yes, lately

Fumbles - Not so much, where are you getting this from?

Expensive - (you honestly think he is 4th best back overall on that team? At worst I'd say #3)

Time to move on - THIS was all you needed to post, and it's true. It was time.

  2.

Why say this? Because he expresses a clear and logical point it is somehow based on animosity toward Fred?

Sure glad posters like this have no actual say in decisions the Bills make. How well this team runs will determine their record to a large degree now. We need runners who can carry the load, run through people still, and make a big play. Fred has not been that kind of runner for a few years. May be time to move on.

I think Ryan calling out Brown is the same as his calling out Henderson--he knows the player can play, but wants him to take the next step. He can run fast still, break tackles, make moves and will likely prove to be more durable, has almost no NFL wear on his legs and body.

The Bills cannot make emotional decisions like this poster and still take the next step..

If you look at this guys post history, 98% is geared toward cutting Fred Jackson. it's a crusade, not a clear and logical point. Seriously, go back and read his posts.

  3. They both averaged 1 TD and 1 turnover per game. Cassel had no weapons in Minnesota after Peterson went out. But Cassel was 17-26 and 2 TD's in that game, when he wasn't expected to have the team on his shoulders. Personally I want one of the younger guys to be the QB, Taylor or EJ, but EJ is failing. Hopefully Taylor is the guy, but if Cassel wins the starting role, then I support him.

Cassel averaged 1.6 turnover/game, not 1. It's a pretty big difference for that sample size.

  4. Nope, I don't hate EJ the guy, but I do hate EJ the QB because he is terrible and I don't think in any way he can help this team win. Therefor I do not want him to see the field ever again for the Buffalo Bills.

I get why you'd think that, but I'm sure you agree that ALL THREE of these QBs are less than ideal, and there's really not much that separates them. But why so much more vitriol for EJ than TT and MC? Is it his draft position? Did he steal your newspaper when you were neighbors?

really don't give two ***** if you clicked the link or not. i don't get paid for clicks. i get paid for keeping my reputation.

unfair to the players? good freaking christ, ej could have very well ended these questions by actually establishing himself as an actual starting quarterback, but the apologists won't ever accept that.

there's always some vague meddlesome excuse.

hey, i like EJ. i think he's a stand up guy.

but to suggest this is a "silly argument" belies the fact that you're actually the one who not only prompted it but continued it by hoping i'd provide you some glimmer of hope that EJ didn't exactly say what he exactly said; that i somehow "tricked" him into saying it.

good lord, i've provided you every opportunity of the doubt and yet you persist in perpetuating this myth that the questions the media is asking EJ is the thing that's holding him back.

i realize you're a true believer, and will always be somehow miffed that it was the media -- nay MY fault -- that EJ failed.

i'll accept that role of being that strawman if you agree to be the blind fool.

    Apologists?
  6. A snowball would have a better chance in hell!

Did EJ do something to you personally? I don't get all the hate for one Buffalo Bill.

Just asking. is a post like this necessary? Does it bring any value? IMO I say no.

    In Rex I Trust

I get it, it is the next logical step in this discussion.
  7. You and I have read completely different things. Early on, TT had a few strong days, then EJ had a couple strong days and the all important scrimmage, and now Cassel has had a couple strong days. As much as you dislike EJ, none of the QBs have looked consistently good in camp. Cassel is getting the reps this week leading up to the Carolina game. I assume Tyrod/EJ will get them leading up to the next pre-season game, and so on. EJ needs to get his **** together, sure. But so does Tyrod and Cassel. SOMEONE needs to get their **** together, and no one has as of yet.

This post should be quoted in every response on this thread. We have 4 below average QBs on this team. Why some of you single out 1 of them is astounding to me. Did EJ take liberties with your special ladies?

Tim Tebow succeeds when he is given a chance to lead by example, not simply asked to throw a football.

Of course he fizzled in NY: He wasn't the starter, and Rex Ryan was the leader.

Of course he fizzled in NE: He wasn't the starter, and Bill Beliceck is the leader.

The narrow mind views leadership from a quarterback position as: "how well does he throw the football".

The "expanded" mind of science views leadership from a quarterback position as: "under what circumstances does he throw the football well"

A different view point would be that leadership from a quarterback involves much more than what he does with a football, but what he does with a football team: is he the first one there, or the first one to leave? does he complain about work in the morning, or does he tell jokes and put people at ease? is he partying on saturday night, or having his team mates over for dinner and Halo? does he gossip about the coach, or openly support the leader of the organization and expect his teammates to as well? does he speak with love, or with jealousy and fear? is he a man worth believing in? is he a man of god?

Men like that have the innate ability to lead other men. It's why Tim Tebow wins championships. It's why he had the exact same results as the greatest quarterback of all time when given the reigns.

I kept waiting for the punchline.

    It never came.

This weird pontification is more than offset by the much greater success of Tom Brady, who drinks the blood of virgins, and sacrifices small kittens on the Altar of Satan.

Another example of evil being victorious over good.

The devil TOTALLY won that fiddle competition.
