What a ridiculous question! Is the season over one minute into the draft? Should we go ahead and draft anyway, and maybe even play some football? Do you even know who their top choice is? He still might be very attainable. How do you come up with these? Better yet, WHY?

I think this whole thread was just trying to call out Klaista2k for some reason unbeknownst to me....

I think Allen is going to be really good.  I've seen enough people who have no clue what they are talking about rip him down and on the flip side people whose opinion I respect talk highly of him.  The guy has the physical tools to get something positive out of a bad play and when he's on he's hands down better than the other guys in this class.

How does he stack up when the play is NOT broken?  Something to be said for not getting to that point.

A retroactive study would tend to make me think the study's hindsight will be 20-20. Still, that doesn't take away from this study, which is impressive. I do like your summary of his report. The chart makes me believe the best thing to do is trade up to get Mayfield, but if not, draft Jackson and Lauletta, hoping one of them pans out. Bills will need all their picks most likely. I keep thinking with our OL, we need a mobile QB, but hopefully one that can hit a receiver in stride.

I'm sure there'd be a little 20/20, but you can only skew it so far.  I'd be interested to see what this data shows for QBs going back for a few years and see how it translates to guys that have been in the pros for a few years.

I thought that part was pretty funny. I guess us hillbilly inbreds should set our sights lower in life like you apparently have. Is that the theme of this lovely Easter message?

I am surprised you were able to stop banging your sister long enough to understand the post, but yes, that is the jist of it.

  5. Welcome, Bill.   I appreciate you being able to stay dedicated after all of these years, its gotta be difficult to strike up a conversation on the Bills in a Cambodian sports bar!  I think that in terms of LJ, you'll find that many folks are going to cite accuracy (I don' think his completion % was ever above 60%), or the fact that he is too skinny.  I'm sure there's a pinch or racism in there too for some folks.  Rosen's detractors seem to be all based on his personality.  I think a lot of folks are tired of having politics injected into their football (me included), but I'd be fine with Rosen as our QB as long as his play backed up his mouth.

I try to go to a game every season if I can.  Sunday at 1 is a hard time for me to make it.  I did it once and got to my seat about 5 minutes after the game started.  Actually, the best time for me to get to a game is the late afternoon - 4 PM start or a bit later.  As far as games that I watch on TV, I don't much care.  My only preference for TV games is that they be on CBS if they are going to conflict with Giants games.  The local Fox affiliate will broadcast the Giants if the Bills and Giants are both on at the same time.

You need to wake up a little earlier in the am...

Not blaming bbmb posters but this place has become a mess in the past year. The same topic with 15 threads is really annoying.

Lol, you can absolutely blame them.  But they're learning.   :)

So, on the leadership issues as it relates to this commentary, Rosen strikes me as world class narcissist, and a self-absorbed rich kid who could be prone to alienating teammates (and fans, though winning chills a lot of that noise out).  He also strikes me as Intolernat of the views of others,  and I think that can cause friction when working with  adults.  To summarize....I think he sounds like a Trust Fund baby.

Its not not even so much what he says, or wearing a dopey hat,  much of what he's talking about likely comes from a good place, but I'm typically concerned about someone's leadership quotient when in less than 1000 words they've told me how enlightened they are relative to other people,  how well-educated they are because like UCLA,  how wealthy their parents are,  how there's so much ignorance in the country relative to everything they know, but the real kicker for me was "I'll debate ANYONE" which always seems an awful lot like "I'll bludgeon ANYONE" with my opinions".

then again, maybe he's so good no one gives a crap about any of that and he leads his team to the promised land.  Hard to say. Oh and I gotta hand it to him on the Thuderbuddies reference.

Funny, I got that same vibe reading this. Here is the rub though, I feel like to be a truly great QB you need to have a healthy dose of arrogant narcissism, otherwise you will never survive in this league. Reading this, Rosen could be the next  Aaron Rodgers.

Leaf didn't show up for the Colts interview at the Combine.  These guys aren't slaves, they can do whatever they want to do, but if you are interviewing for the same job with a handful of companies who all talk to each other, you better be darn sure you are willing to live with the consequences if you tell one of them no without an offer in hand.

OP and Savior Peterman never seen in the same place at the same time.  Coincidence?  I think not....  Few QB's in their NFL debut have flamed out as spectacularly as Peterman did in his.  Does it mean he's not worthy?  Time will tell.

We all know that SP has been in high level business meetings, completely explaining why he and the Skydiver are never both on at once.  Nothing to see here, move along.....

You think it was the QB’s idea to split Tolbert wide on 3rd and goal from the 17 and run a slant?!? Come on you are better than that.

FWIW, Taylor’s stats were better than Edwards across the board anyways. If you think Edwards was a better QB I no longer respect your opinion on football.

I don't think Edwards was better, but I think that he had a higher ceiling that TT before he took that hit.
