  1. No b.c he is unknown... A bridge QB you already know the limits and you basically know the outcome.

I look at the guy and I see EJ all over again. Big, strong arm, doesn't know how to read a defense, and is an inaccurate passer. What gives you comfort that's he's got the potential to play at the NFL level?

  2. He definitely throws the ball all over the intermediate part of the field. People would then be screaming about us not taking enough shots at deep throws to Watkins. It's a lose, lose situation.

On the board would finally get to see Ryan and FireChan shut up on the subject, so there is at least one win. Plus a whole new set of poorly phrased and grammatically error ridden topics from major bobby, so there is 2...

This isn't an argument about the semantics of what a bridge QB is, I'm saying it is a dumb idea to advocate bringing in some middling guy from the outside when we already have a middling QB with at least some upside. Alex Smith, Nick Foles, these guys are not taking us to the SB, I'm tired of the "let's get rid of TT for $ and start some other middling QB", if you don't want him, then bringin in the youth movement

I don't think that Cardale even qualifies as middling, do you?

  4.

The point being that we either use Tyrod for that purpose or just start Cardale, whom evidently everyone thinks needs to sit on the bench for 15 years before he's "ready" to play. There is no logic behind trading for Foles or some other mid-level guy to come in and be a caretaker. We have a QB who has been on an NFL roster for a year; if you don't believe in TT then start Cardale and get ready to draft a rd 1 QB this year or next.

If we started Cardale this year while waiting to draft a QB next, wouldn't that make Cardale the bridge QB?

  5. A valiant effort However this is the NFL we are talking about. Even if they added on field advertising (I'm actually shocked they haven't gone to the virtual on field advertising yet on TV), they wouldn't cut out or even reduce TV commercials. More money, more money ...

    That's a FRITO LAY'S FIRST DOWNNNN!!!!!!!

All of this. So well written.

Any "conservative" would freak out if some community center was built with $800 million of public money to be used 10 times a year. But because it's some mediocre football team that never wins anything, TAKE MY MONEY.

Keep your PPP where it belongs.

  6. Tanking is not pointless. Move up the board. Collect the best "blue chip" talent out there on both sides of the ball for 3 or 4 drafts. What you are suggesting the Bills have already done for the last 17 years. How did that work out? Are the Bills any closer? No.

So your saying to tank for 3 or 4 years?

  7. [private message to Augie] Want to make a deal? Kill each other's wives? Let me know...I want pizza [private message to Augie]

Imstead of Strangers on a Train, you two should just spouse swap, but for each other. Sure the sex will be horribly painful, but, well...

    PIZZA AND SPAGHETTI

For real though, I cut all of that crap out of my diet (whole30), and am down 40 lbs. Feel a lot better, but boy do I miss beer and pizza on Friday night!

For the superbowl, I am going to smoke up a bunch of collosal shrimp, maybe a pork butt and make pulled pork and vinegar slaw...

  8.

love y'all but this is bad analysis. doesn't show anything.

this could just as easily be interpreted: "how good is the supporting cast / defense / coaching staff / gm ?"

the magnitude of ^that effect is likely 10x that of the valuation ($/win) of the qb contracts.

It's another way of looking at things, nothing wrong with that.

  9. Doesn't matter who has the head sets on if the QB is not legit.Lots of good, qualified coaches and coordinators lose in the NFL and eventually get fired because of the QB position. They better get THAT decision right. If they don't, they aren't going to win and TP will end up firing everybody and re-building the team from scratch..

Who do you want? It's easy to say a guy sucks at predicting the future. But if you're your going to ride him for it, man up and predict who the Bills should take NOW!

  10. I go back with GOAT Bellichek or GOAT Brady. I have to give it to Bellichek as he was won consistently (since Tom Brady became a starter) with no matter who was at QB (Cassel). I am not convinced either would do nearly as well if they coached/played on other teams.

Belichick is 51-65 without Tommy Boy, and was 5-11 in his first year in NE with Bledsoe under center. Not saying he's not great, but it's gotta make the game planning a lot easier with that Brady trotting out there every week.

May they both die a fiery death together in a single engine plane crash.

  11. If that's true, I think he is a jerk.

I really think Marrone is a bad human.

Not a big fan of personally attacking people I don't know, but, feel I have heard enough to feel this way.

    Sorry for not being sorry.

We all have friends that are horrible people, cut the guy some slack and measure him on his skill on Sundays!

  12.

If Whaley's presser was scripted by the PR department, then the scriptwriter needs to be fired because it was bad, and it would still be bad if the press corps as a whole had behaved in a more professional fashion.

While the reporters are sh**s for acting like it's news Rex reported to Pegula, not Whaley, and that Pegula was the only person with firing authority over Rex, the way Whaley responded to follow up questions made him look dumb or powerless. He may have responded with the literal truth - that he didn't know Pegula was about to fire Rex (that week), that he and Pegula may never have discussed firing Rex (because he expected to discuss it in a week, at the end of the season), that he wasn't specifically told why Pegula fired Rex and didn't ask or think about it (at the time of the call). But the literal truth made him look out of the loop with ownership, peon-like, or dishonest.

For me its the parts in parentheses above that are the key to this whole thing. People that are too lazy to infer them are "outraged by the tire fire". Those that did infer them are not. Its that simple imho.
