I just don't want to see the same defensive game plan of the first meeting to let them run all over us and totally control the ball/game. Even if the Bills 'kept it close', KC really controlled the game and it was frankly demoralizing to be gouged like that. Would rather give up a big play on a 3 min drive and get our offense back on the field then let them have long time consuming drives battering us backwards. I expect the defensive gameplan will be a little more sophisticated this time - and also I hope they plan to try to make Mahomes uncomfortable and move him from the pocket - with his toe and coming back from his "upper body injury", I can't imagine he will be as comfortable scrambling around. I also think that Daboll has been saving some plays all season just for this game.

Jerry also said this - "“We took it as a challenge,” said Hughes, who had two of those sacks. “A lot of us, just because we had this late-night game, we sat around, we watched TV, we enjoy football. It’s our job. It’s our passion. So, you know, when we see the guys on TV talking about how they don’t play defense in Buffalo, we’re going to give up 30 points. That’s a challenge that we all see. We take it as a challenge and we accept it, so I think we went out there and we played like we had something to prove, and that’s how you’re supposed to play football at your house, especially in the playoffs.” I get that they are professionals and don't *need* the hot takes of silly TV personalities to be motivated - but they are also human beings and not robots, and are more than willing to use any perceived slight as fuel

So many national 'experts' are so wrong - if they aren't just going with the lazy popular narrative, they seem to just make stuff up. I heard some national guy (can't remember who) say the Chiefs offense is so good, they decided to just run the ball down the Bills throat the first game instead of pass - like it was their game plan going into the game. Never mind that it was the Bills defensive scheme for the game inviting them to run that dictated it. A good adjustment to be sure, but there's no way they went into the game planning to do that.

Missing that new coach and GM excitement

And attempts to manufacture "excitement" over the upcoming QB "battle" in TC between the ageless 3rd tier veteran FA, young average QB with "potential", and the middling career backup drafted in the 3rd round 7 yrs earlier who hasn't had the success (yet) that was expected of him -
