Theres a huge difference in playing like a $25 mil corner and wanting 50 mil than playing like a $40 mil corner and wanting $50. For the past 2 years, up until a few games ago, nate was playing like a $25 mil corner. Its only been the past few games that he's stepped up into the 40 mil range.

Heres the real problem: You as the football coach are trying to teach us offense by instructing to run the triangle, pass the ball along the perimeter and take open jump shots. You are making us spend time on practicing free throws. The problem is, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FOOTBALL, AND YOU ARE TRYING TO TEACH BASKETBALL. To top it off, you have the coaching skills and prowess of rick venturi (a career 2-17 NFL record), rich kotite, or hank bullough. You dont understand what you are trying to teach, or where the hell you are, and you are so off base, you are in the completely wrong subject.

Yup, its not a question of wanting to re-sign clements, its a question of spending easily 50+ mil on him (if not more). If we cant re-sign him, we should at least give him the transition tag, giving us the right to match any offer that he signs.

Bill, do you still think Gandy is that terrible? To me, he's looked decent at LG, and him and Peters have been playing well together. I would not mind at all if they re-sign Gandy and keep him at LG. IF him and Peters are developing a chemistry, theres no reason to break that apart. Now, we need to focus on building a solid right side of the line. IMO, the top "need" spot on the O-line is RG. Preston has been holing his own, but an upgrade wouldnt hurt. I suppose if we sign steinbach, we could shift gandy to RG.
