That's really about the only knock I've heard about plasmas is the glare issue. Where did you buy it? Places like Best Buy, Walmart, and CostCo will let you return it within 30 days or so if you're not happy. You may want to look at an LCD. The overall best display I've ever seen was a plasma (Pioneer Elite), but LCDs have really come a long way and the PQ is stunning. There are others on here who are more knowledgeable about TVs than I am, so hopefully they'll chime in. There's also a good thread on tv's in the consumer forum you may want to read through. Good luck!

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys

Their overall ranking this year was affected by Westbrook being banged up and having to rely more on McNabb than they may have wanted to. But if you look at the RB stats, all three backs (McCoy, Weaver, Westbrook) avg more than 4.0 ypc....so when they're healthy, they are definitely not a one dimensional team. -
No, I typically just post random crap....whatever comes to mind.

You need to spell check that mofo, bro. -
lol, ummm....oh

Rodgers is a very impressive QB...I honestly didn't think he'd be this good, but he seems like he's in total command of his team and he throws a great ball.
-
Well said, man....I hadnt' thought about that.

The movies I laughed the hardest at over the years have been: Dumb and Dumber Jackass I&2 Borat I'm not saying these are the greatest comedies of all time, but these are the films that had me in tears the first time I watched them.

Holy crap, what a GAME!
-
Do you think a lot of that fell on the shoulders of Aaron Brooks?
-
What exactly happened with that? I've heard people mention it, but not sure I know all the details.

Good post, man...not redundant at all! lol I understand your point about Jauron, but don't you think Jauron's style of coaching is notably different than that of Haslett's? Haslett is more of a "balls to the wall" type in the Cowher mold than he is a conservative, "play not to lose" type. I think what I keep coming back to is that I want someone here who is passionate about the team. It should't be that those most passionate about this team (other than the fans) are Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas! I'm glad they are still active and around, but I want people in the organization to be passionate about buliding this team back to where we're able to dominate like we did back in the day. I give him points in that department, cause I want to be inspired again, you know?

Hell YEAH! Down with the Pats!!!! This is the one game I WANT to see a blowout!

lol...nah, he went 35-45 with da Bears.

People said the same thing about Bill Belichick after his run with the Browns (which was less successful than Haz's run with the Saints).

I think I'm one of the few TBD'ers who would still be excited if Jim Haslett came home to coach the Bills. Several years ago, after Haslett's run as Pitt DC, I remember how high on the list he was for a lot of other folks around here. We used to speculate about whether he had a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave whatever position he was in if and when the Bills came calling. Now it seems like he's totally fallen out of favor. It's not like his record in N.O. was that bad, and we're talking about a team that, until recently, was pretty much a bottom dweller in the NFL. The St. Louis gig was only an interim basis, so he wasn't really going to get much accomplished there in such a short time. The guy is one of US. He loves the Bills and he's got some experience as a head coach under his belt. Is there anyone else out there besides me who would be happy having him coach the Bills?

Wasn't that a disappointment? I don't know that I really cared who won, but wow, what a pathetic showing by Cincy. I really thought yesterdays games were going to be the best two of the weekend, so hopefully today surprises me. I tell you what, I think the Jets may end up being a scary team to play this postseason. Even with a first time coach and a rookie QB, they are built like a SB winner....very strong D, strong running game, effective TE, etc. They might surprise next week. The Jets are the only other team in our division that I don't hate with a passion. I'm not a fan by any means, but I'd rather see the Jets do well than the friggin Pats. -
BTW, something else to think about for you guys who are into the hobby or thinking about getting involved, is the use of a dedicated circut for your AV gear. It has greater implications for speakers like Magnepans than it does others, but since the price tag is so reasonable I think it's totally worth it. My amps are a Butler 5150 (5 channel) and 2250 (2 channel), and I have 400wpc (8ohm) available to each Magnepan main in a bi-amped configuration. (It's something like 650 wpc into 4 ohms per speaker.) Needless to say, I have excellent punch with all types of music and movies with this kind of power on reserve. Maggies present a pretty stable and consistent 4-5ohm load, so even though my amps can handle 2ohm loads, they aren't ever pushed that much. Anyway, the point is that a few people online convinced me to start pricing with local electricians a 20a dedicated circuit for my gear. I found an experienced (20 years), licenses and bonded, highly recommended guy local to me in Gainesville, GA who came out and installed two dedicated 20a circuits for $155. To me, this was an absolute bargain and a total no-brainer. I don't have any concerns at all about overloading the circuits, and the noise floor when the amps are on is dead silence.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys

Well, no matter what happened in the regular season (even if only a week ago) I expect good football in the NFL playoffs. Philadelphia is my 2nd favorite team, and they have a lot of heart. I don't know how all of a sudden Dallas is playing lights out on defense, so it was hard for me to believe they were going to have their way with the Eagles to this degree a second time. I don't agree that they are a one dimensional team at all. They had a record setting offense this year, and their younger players really showed up at times. They were banged up on D, but I expected Donovan and the boys to have a much better showing on offense. I tell you what, next week's game is going to be awesome....Vikes and Boys?? LET'S GO FAVRE!!! -

Wow, what a crap showing by the Eagles...I thought for sure they'd come out with a fire in their bellies and take it to the Cowboys...I turned the damn thing off at the end of the 3rd I hope tomorrow's games are better than these two today!
