  1. He might have been a pansy, but you were certainly a douche.
  2. Where was I being negative about Bills fans? I'm being realistic, unlike people who's homersim blinds them into thinking they are the greatest in the world. I'm not drawing a comparison between markets anymore then the side of "these are pathetic fans who must have enough disposable income to blow on a sporting event" are. 8 million or 800,000, the choices people are making in this economy are the same. Sports are disposable, just ask people who go to a NASCAR event.
  3. Yeah, and Bills fans are the best, blah, blah, blah. Oh wait, they sold 11,000 less season tickets this year. I've heard only true fans buy season tickets. Instead of calling these people pathetic sports fans, you should be thanking them. If everybody rolled over and paid these ticket prices; A. You'll eventually see them in Buffalo, or B. The new owner will have no incentative to keep the team in Buffalo knowing the money they could make elsewhere It's about time fans have voted with their wallet, Bob the plumber is being priced out of the stadium and has to make choices. These aren't Jags fans, calling Jets fans pathetic and weak is dead wrong. They haven't had a blackout since 1977.
  4. You're assuming that the high power earners in the NYC area are interested in going to a football game. The type of person who enjoys football is pretty much the same across the country, blue collar/lower to middle class white collar workers. When you price the doorman out of the game, or the plumber from Jersey then yes, you're going to have a hard time selling out a stadium. Not to mention, the earning power is higher, but so is the cost of living. A $50,000 salary in Buffalo is about the same as $100,000 in NYC. Their disposable income isn't what you assume it is.
  5. That speaks to the ticket prices, not the fans. Buffalo wouldn't sell half the stadium with the Jets prices.
  6. They just signed the deal, hasn't been added yet.
  7. Mind if I ridicule them instead?
  8. I was wondering what set the kid off when I saw the video. If that's all true; 1. The kid needs to learn how to have fun without the colerful language in public. 2. The old man got what he deserved. Being old doesn't give you a free pass to attack someone, even if you don't like their behavior. Edit: The NY Post video provides a better view that I hadn't seen yet. Seems like most of the fans were sick of the kids crap before the "fight" even happened, but my points still stand.
  9. I think your answer is in the article
  10. They deserve an Emmy. It's not easy to make Syracuse look like a nice place.
  11. Discount! I had Progressive before Geico and was getting raped by them. I got a quote from them last year that was a few dollars cheaper than Geico but not enough to make a switch worth while. That, and I really don't want to switch to them just because of those damn commercials, they grate on my nerves.
  12. My wife and I have been with Geico for the past 7 years. Don't have any complaints about them. The two glass claims I had to file went smoothly and had no affect on my premium. We're in the same boat as you, no accidents/claims (other than the glass) or tickets. I've heard you really only save with them if you are a low risk customer, otherwise they're priced equal or greater as other companies. I shop my policy every couple of years and have yet to find lower for equivalent coverage.
  13. And just like that, attachments become disabled................
  14. To add to what links said, there is always someone watching these guys on the course that knows the rules. Whether it be the playing partner, other caddie, someone in the crowd, a rules violation generally isn't going to be missed. While there may be more eyes on the leader on Sunday, even the last place guy would probably have been penalized for the same shot. Golf is a gentlemens game, the players call a rules violation on themselves more often then they have one called on them.
  15. That, and you could improve your lie by grounding the club. Say the ball is buried in the sand and you repeatedly ground your club behind the ball moving the sand away. You've just made the shot easier by removing the sand.
  16. The difference I've seen so far is a lot of these guys have more complete games and don't have the fragile psyche of the likes of Sergio. Time will tell.
  17. What will really be fun, is if in 2-3 years all of these young hotshots start to mature and Tiger gets his game back. Would make for some great battles at the majors.
  18. I've been a Bubba fan for years, sucks that he had to hit such a poor shot. Golf is going to be fun to watch for a long time, lots of good young players. Rory Mcilroy is going to net about 5 majors in his career.
  19. Look at the course on google earth. Keep the fans out of the bunkers and there are not many places left for the gallery to go. I doubt they want the fans in the bunkers, but it also needs to be a fan friendly tournament. All players had to play out of them if they hit a bad enough shot, so every player is on a common ground.
