  1. Reed expressed an opinion. Take it for that. Why some think that a man's simple words have deep intent is beyond me.
  2. It is. When I get done with them, they might not get back in the game. I refuse to let my players get embarrassed. They are my team.
  3. That still leaves tenny. Now, how many people here quote long-dead Supreme Court justices? I just checked - he's on line. Fess up, tenny, and give me my due...
  4. Accepted and my apology offered! There are memorable bumper stickers out there. One of my favorites was on an old, rusty read-wheel drive sled, that said "Love is Grand. Divorce is 10 Grand. Another on a vehicle stuffed with kids - "All men are idiots - I know, I married their King." stuck
  5. How nonsensical. Shouldn't you admit that you stole your sig line from one of my posts? tenesseeboy kiped off of me, too.
  6. Are they still something like 99% Democratic Party? I've not been back there in years.
  7. Yet - numerous folks here wax poetic about all this great speed and running a 3-wide set as a base attack etc. Yes - pixie dust can fall and turn this BUF OL into pass and run blockers never seen before. Our QBs will astound the opponents.
  8. She must be a soul mate of Janeane Garofalo...
  9. Agreed - nice guy that had a nice career. Knows the game, knows the lay of the financial NFL land. I think his eyes would pop if some team offered him another gig...
  10. Earl Long? He' be a good candidate...
  11. You choose to ignore my point. I merely have to bust the chops of your flashy players once or twice. They will learn my lesson.
  12. Well, he started in all the games last season. His adaptability to a 3-4 is a fair question. We can argue about how effective he will be, but still, he's not a bum, and tossing out a decent, if not spectacular DE gives pause. I think it's a matter of money that BUF is dealing with. If they think they have enough in the hopper to replace him, I suppose he's gone. We have to wait and see.
  13. Don't be so sure, "coach." I aim to intimidate your speed demons, and your qb in a roundabout way. The average NFL wr is a strutting prima donna. He values his teeth and his bling and his Cadillac Escalade and his posse more than he values a win. I will have him looking for the hit before the catch, in time. An olde English ditty: "be he black or be he blue, he be both when I be through."
  14. Yes, Skyline packages their chili in a can - it's the size of a can of Campbell soup. One serving, according to the label is hefty. The can also says it serves six! Who would buy a can of it and dole out a sixth of a can? It reminds me of the refrigerated barbecue pork and beef containers - Lloyds is a prominent name. Their serving size is 1/4 cup. I had the product and spread out that 1/4 cup on a roll - pathetic! RE: Roosevelt - agree, he's going to have really show stuff in camp and in preseason if they keep him on. Or catch the eye of some coach who puts forth a case to keep 'em. I think he'll be safe on the PS.
  15. Edited with due embarrassment. My head is of a common shape but with a glaring prominence (bulbous nose, like ex-Prez Clinton). Thin, almost non-existent eyebrows. Mystifying, alluring blue eyes, proven to be attractive to women. All being ravaged by the march of time, of course. It is a hope, that our bon Dieu will let you paddle around on this dirt long enough so you too can enjoy being an observant (cranky) thing such as I.
  16. My defenders have forearms and know how to stop a speed demon in his tracks. I don't care about getting a personal foul penalty. Beat me with moves and precise patterns.
  17. Never played cornhole (aka reverse ring toss), and NEVER ate a Cincinnati chili concoction. Ugh! They also hawk a thing called a "coney." It's a 4-inch hot dog contained in a small roll smothered in shredded cheese. The usual order is 4 of them. Now, I watch what I eat, having to pay for the sins of my youth. But if I craved a 1,000 calorie fat and salt bomb (which I do, and I miss), I would get a couple of fast-food cheeseburgers and fries. Skyline is one purveyor, an outfit named Gold Star is the other big name. Gold Star took a stab, buying up space in other localities - airports were prominent. They slinked away in short order with their tails between their legs as people gagged then laughed. But I digress (often). If they show Roscoe the gate, Roosevelt might get a shot at making the roster. A long shot - but perhaps he has enough moxie. Hines Ward, TJ Houshmanzedeh in recent time.
  18. Well, 32 teams saw fit not to draft him, and he was picked up as a UFDA... Hope he does well, but the college ranks are littered with receivers. Perhaps more than before, with the spread offense being the darling the past several years. Dilution. I reject the popular notion that it takes 3 years for a wr to blossom.
  19. The man of the people had the dog flown in on a private jet for his latest vacation. I've read that the C.O. has been golfing in his short tenure more that Bush did in his 8 years. http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obamas-...te-jet-to-maine
  20. Can you counter blip the sties' ignore function?
  21. Yep. CIN talked with him a couple of months ago, now he and his agent have evidently become persistent pests. TO certainly dripping with money, but if he can con somebody into forking over several millions to him, he would be happy to take the checks. So far no takers, but the NFL is show biz, and some clubs' marketing man might think it would jazz up ticket sales.
