For such an astute post I tried long and hard to find an appropriate response.
First I remembered something my grandfather said to me.
"Grasp your ears firmly and pull; You might just be able to remove your head from your ass."
But it didn't seem quite right.
Then I thinking that what you posted is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone who has come across your post is now dumber for having read it.
That reminded me of something my uncle Lee said once.
"You are one load that I wish your mother had swallowed."
Three words:
No domed stadium!
-A domed stadium is SO not football like.
Four more words:
The new peace bridge.
-That new bridge has been in the works for years now and they've gotten no where with it. How can anyone realistically expect to build a stadium downtown?
I believe all of this talk is mute anyway. The NFL did make a rule that disallows a team to be owned like the Packers are. Perhaps they could change that rule but I wouldn't count on it.
I concur.
Sure Clements was burned a few times this year, but all CBs are. There is no such thing as a shut down corner, not in the literal sense anyway.
I have seen Bailey, Barber and others burned multiple times. People are fooling themselves if they think Nate is easily replaced!
BTW the CBs who had the highest pay to figure out the average...
1. A. Winfield $12.4 million
2. T. Law $9.6M
3. S. Rolle $8.3M
4. P. Surtain $7.8M
The franchise tag was $8.816M, the transition tag was $6.93M.
Boy TD really fugged up with Winfield.
The one thing I liked about Mauck was watching him run up and down the sidelines, screaming, yelling, cursing and slobbering. He was like a rabid dog, it was great!
Now his coaching on the other hand....
I found the article as annoying as your takes on the article VABlls.
Some of the more annoying quotes.
I cannot get over the fact that people still get this wrong. We gave up 2 draft picks, a 2nd and a 5th.
While I agree that MM probably had little input on Losman starting the season, I can almost guarantee that it was MM who pushed to put Holcomb in not TD.
Mularkey took over the play calling the same week that Holcomb started in place of Losman. That sealed Clements fate then and there, he was gone at the end of the season.
I'm still not sure who to blame for our lack of the power running game. Obviously TD did a piss poor job of bringing in a dominant OL. At the same time Mularkey seemed to abandon the run on a whim. I guess the passes to Shelton and putting Parrish in at QB seemed to make more sense than running.
Was it?
He reeked of man love disappointment.
Peyton's line was bad. They did a terrible job of coverage against Pittsburgh's schemes. I saw guys getting beat time after time. Indy's OL was unable to handle Pittsburgh's blitzing. When the Steelers didn't blitz is when the Colts were able to effectively move the ball.
