  1. 5 words and only 8 syllables, must be some sort of record...NO??? As for the draft I'd love Mario(only one I wouldn't mind trading up for). I would prefer we trade down, but that is much easier said than done. If we pick at 8 I won't complain if we get any of these guys, not in any order...Ngata, Davis, Huff, Justice, Bunkley and it goes without saying that Mario or D'Brick are miraculously available take them.
  2. I heard that Jerry Sullivan is a reporter in a columnists' disguise...I also heard that anything Schoop has said should be taken as fact!
  3. I don't share your enthusiasm for taking Young with our 8th pick, but I really do appreciate your loyalty to one of your boys who has done damn good. You are obviously a big fan of the game and follow your teams. I would shoot the chit at a bar swinging back a few beers while watching football anytime with ya BlueFire!
  4. Quotes like this from Kiper about sum up the value of this show so far for me. "If you love Vince Young you're going to love him in this draft, if you didn't love Vince Young, you'll not going to love him in this draft." Brilliant!!!
  5. It is alright to dream of rosy scenarios for the Bills, but don't be surprised to receive constructive criticism about using it as the subject of your 1st post. On the bright side I found it fun to think about, but I can't escape that far from reality for long. Thanks for the pleasant momentary escape from reality though! I personally would have gone with the "Tom Brady was named by NFL sources today as having failed the NFL substance policy" story.
  6. I saw that and they were baked. The interview was like something out of the half baked movie, gigles and snears, they have some good chit to smoke in south Florida!
  7. So did Dennis Erickson, and Spurrier proved himself to be an excellent college coach, but these charactoristics don't always translate well for coaches and players at the pro level. It is way too early to rate Saban a success or failure. He was 9-7 in his 1st season, as was Mularkey, what he does collectively over the next 3-4 seasons will give a much better indication as to whether or not he will be considered a success or failure.
  8. I'm sorry but I think you're wrong on all accounts on how to handle Clements. First of all trading him at all is a poor decision, but trading him for a 2nd is downright stupid! What is the point of trading him for a 2nd? We can't replace him with a 1st, much less a 2nd. We would be creating yet another hole to fill on a team already full of holes! Even if we have to tag him for the next several years we should do so. I would prefer if we could lock him with a long term contract, but if he won't sign a resonable deal then we just keep tagging him. I think that we could actually tag him 3 years in a row. The new CBA allows for 2 years, but that doesn't go into effect until 2007, so we could tag him 06, 07 and 08.
  9. I have never seen a poster's writing style jump the shark so quickly, but you did it with your 1st post.
  10. Come on H A how can you deduce that Nall "has apparantly beat out JP"????? We have not even seen a single play from the LOS yet. Unbelievable!
  11. So did Mularkey in his first year as a head coach.
  12. To be fair, he didn't invite comments, and he did say move on!
  13. As I read this I couldn't help but picture a large room full of monkeys with typewriters.
  14. WIN Sep 10 @New England WIN Sep 17 @Miami WIN Sep 24 N.Y. Jets WIN Oct 1 Minnesota WIN Oct 8 @Chicago WIN Oct 15 @Detroit Loss Oct 22 New England WIN Nov 5 Green Bay Loss Nov 12 @Indianapolis WIN Nov 19 @Houston WIN Nov 26 Jacksonville Loss Dec 3 San Diego WIN Dec 10 @N.Y. Jets WIN Dec 17 Miami WIN Dec 24 Tennessee WIN Dec 31 @Baltimore 13-3 Wouldn't that be a hoot?
  15. I hope this afternoon goes by faster than this morning did. I wish I didn't go out until 4 in the morning last night! As for the Bills: I hope I don't have to see Holcomb behind center on any 3rd and long plays. I hope we sweep our division. I hope I win LA Billz annual W/L contest with my traditional 13-3 prediction finally.
  16. As the saying goes history likes to repeat itself! Don't you just know that there are 2 people in this world salivating over the opening of this schedule, Holcomb and Holcombs Arm!!
  17. But what are you going to get for packaging a couple of mid round picks together? As a poster above stated this is a draft that is deep in many of the positions that we have a great need for. I understand your logic of having some additional picks in future years, but I think we lack depth in so many positions that we need to stock up on as many young players as possible. Then these players will be able to get playing experience while we are in the rebuilding mode, thus when we are able to make a serious run at the playoffs they will have real NFL experience under their belts.
  18. If you're building for the future aren't you better off using the picks this year? Then players can get as much experience as possible so that they will be ready to play when we are ready to make a run.
  19. I was simply pointing out that TD did not bite too quickly on any trades when he had time on his side and that usually worked out in our favor. I remember many folks here on TSW who said hell would freeze over before we got a 3rd for Henry, and we should have just cut him. As for the trades, Peerless did net us McGahee, I forgot who our 3rd for Travis last year got us. My point was TD did an excellent job in negotiating for trades. I think that most here TSW were happy with the Bledsoe trade at least through the first half of year 1 of that experiment. The 2nd and 5th for JP, well that is up in the air, but maybe not his best trade.
  20. I agree, but I was hoping that Marv would hold out a little longer to get that 4th. TD with all of his problems, was masterful at the trade, evidenced by Peerless and Travis.
  21. Well like your name says, "Gotta Dream!" For that to happen Mario would have to test possitive for steroids or be arrested fro a heinous crime.
