  1. Your words and your actions seem a tad out of sync. And quoting a bunch of mouth-breathing sports writers who think that the only way a QB can call his own plays is by doing a song-and-dance number at the line is not proof of anything.
  2. It's admirable, certainly, but many other QBs also have great work ethics, and put more work into winning than they do improving their own statistics. You don't actually believe that, do you? He's really just the only QB to flap his arms wildly while calling his own plays. Better at what? Accumulating statistics, or winning important games? You idolize athletes? What are your stances on Manning's commercial whoring and remarks about his OL after the playoff loss last year?
  3. I just saw the trailer for this movie in a theatre, and I really wanted to shout out "2003 called, it wants its hot-button issue back," but I resisted the urge. And I died a little inside.
  4. No, it was a little red hat, and tight little shorts.
  5. I think that's why I liked it so much. Ashamed as I am to admit it, the tales of Sammy and his evil twin had me rolling.
  6. http://www.tonyhomo.com/ I hope whoever's doing this keeps it up.
  7. I definitely thought it would be an OL, possibly Winston Justice.
  8. I wouldn't worry about it. Good teams are built through the draft.
  9. Everybody knows that Iraq had WMD at one point, the issue was that they were not disposing of them as outlined in the '91 ceasefire. The natural assumption by most was these WMD were still in Iraqi possession, but its entirely possible that they were destroyed in a fashion that violated the ceasefire, or even moved to another location. In any event, though, Iraq was in violation of its terms of surrender. At least that's my understanding of the situation.
  10. A player who's given himself up can be touched down, but not hit.
  11. The Bills broke the rules, the ref made the call, but it was an "awful call?" Doesn't compute.
  12. Dude, even MadBuffaloDisease would admit that that was a penalty. Impossible to play the "Bills got screwed" card on that one. This game isn't over yet, though. Pats' defense doesn't look "on" to me.
  13. He is a FA, and while I'm sure the Pats would love to keep him, they certainly won't overpay for him with Ben Watson emerging as the team's go-to TE in the passing game. Graham's value on the open market is tough to gauge. Graham would instantly help any team's running game, but while he is more than capable of contributing in the passing game, his receiving numbers have been underwhelming. Thus, a team looking for a flashy sign may be unwilling to pony up big bucks for him. The Pats may be able to retain him simply because other teams will be unwilling to overpay for a guy whose best attribute - run blocking - doesn't make for an exciting sign. Drafting two TEs in the 2006 draft, though, may have been an indication that the Patriots feel Graham will be moving on after the season.
  14. A definite blow to the Pats' running game, given Graham's blocking skills. With the conditions today, it's too bad, because both teams will be trying to run the hell out of it.
  15. Explain how being decimated by injury in '03 and '04 could be considered "breaks."
  16. Actually, the U.S. isn't, and never has been, a democracy. By design. Sorry, just a pet peeve. And oh yeah, this should very obviously be moved to PPP.
  17. 10-21. Multiple throws right into the defenders' chests. Carelessly tossing the ball over his shoulder while being pulled to the ground. Do we really have to go over this again? Damon Huard or any other also-ran QB could have come in and easily matched or exceeded Bledsoe's mediocre-to-poor performance.
