  1. Goodell is from Jamestown. If anyone will make sure that the Bills stay in Buffalo, it's him. Hate on him all you want for some of his policies, but he's one of the more important figures to look to when it comes to keeping the Bills here.

On that note, how does our Stadium compare to others around the league? Obviously, the Ralph won't hold a candle to Lucas Oil stadium, or that behemoth in Arlington, but what about compared to others like Lincoln Financial in Philadelphia, and Arrowhead stadium?

yeah, I just dont think being from Jamestown, NY has any signifigance at all in regards to keeping the Bills in Buffalo..ultimately Godell has to answer to someone and they're not going to allow the Bills to stay in Buffalo on the grounsd of "Come on im from there, those are passionate fans." I dont think they're leaving, I thinkn Jacksonville is in much much worse shape.

RWS is the biggest piece of trash stadium ever. Its ugly, close to non-functional, and basically in the middle of nowhere. However, it allows for an extremely rowdy and violent atmosphere, costs ownership $0 (thats right, $0), and was built to withstand the worst punishement both naturally and man-made that can be thrown at it.

I'd love a new stadium, but that can and will never happen due to the viability of the team in question, and the bureaucracy that runs this mismanaged county and region.

  2. I want this guy as my QB, only because of his name.

When the Bills score - Case and Point.

When the Bills win - Case Closed.

When he throws an amazing pass - It will be hard to defend this Case.

    I could keep gong....

This cat sounds legit on paper. I agree here....but has anyone watched him play?

    If so:

Is he fighting soup cans? Or playing legit teams and defenses?

    Is he mobile at all?

    Whats his O-Line look like?

  3. I would trade Maybin for McNabb wouldnt you?

This is the Bills guys, we draft Whitners and McCargos and Maybins with our top picks, not Ed Reeds, Ngatas and Orakpos. Our first round picks are basically UDFA. We have the same personnel in the FO as last year, just without guy. Nix was in the draft room when they signed off on Maybin. What makes you think it will be any different this year?

a top ten pick is worth squat in the hands of the Bills FO. We might as well get a sure fire PB QB out of it.

    Excellent point.

  4. Wow, you used such big letters and even little banging head icons! Such angst. "Why can't they all just see clearly...like i do" he seems to say.....

Pal, Vick is trash. A dog torturing, eletrocuting, brutal and evil guy. He paid his debt...blah blah. You can be an apologist for this trash all you want. It doesn't change what he is. We don't need him or want him.

There, small font and no cartoons.

Disagree, we do need him....and I like many many others want him.

  5. Coaches can talk to these players until they're blue in the face, but themselves only they can blame for on the field performance. J.P. Losman could throw a beautiful deep ball, but he had a hard time hitting intermediate throws and checkdowns. Coaching's fault? I think not. Was he put too early by Mularky into a pressure situation? Yes, but that by no means determined the outcome of his career. If you can't play with a viable backup on the sidelines without worrying about your own starting spot, there is no coaching in the world that can help that. You can't coach guys out of insecurity. Trent Edwards doesn't trust himself enough to throw the ball leading a WR into the opening on the field. They can't throw the ball for him. There were numerous games where WR's would be coming into openings, but instead he would choose to check down with a 3 yard pass. He would try to wait until a guy was sitting down in an opening, but by then it would be too late. He got crushed one time and it ended him it seems. Getting hit is a part of football and he seems to be afraid of getting hit. He too, mentally, cannot pull it together for whatever reason. Continue to blame everything on this "horrible" organization if you want Negative Nancy, but the truth is these guys held their own fate in their hands and squandered their own opportunities.

Totally agree on some points, but disagree on onthers.

Both had an opportunity in the NFL, and both blew it. My comment is that the most biggest determining factor, in my opinion, is the organization and the lack of coaching and developing talent. Most if not all guys coming out of college are completely raw, they need to learn the pro game. Almost every other orvganization does they're job in teaching and developing. The constant coaching and personel changes in Buffalo simply do not allow for that.

Again, ask yourself this, you're a top ranked prospect knowing you have a window of about 7-10 years to make enough money (body taking punishment) to retire as a professional football player....your going to leave your future in the hands of, arguably, the worst run oraganization in the NFL?

If your answer is yes, then I hope you have a goverment job where you can tell exactly how much money you will make to include retirement, and know exactly how many days/hours you have until retirement...because you're not capable of making an educated decision on your own future, which ultimately leaves tax payers responsible for you in the future.

  6. He showed more promise than any prospect (or suspect) we've had in years, now it feels like going out on a limb to say he should get a shot at the job. I think the odds are way in favor of him being our opening day starter over anyone else in the poll.

Much like every other promising young QB's that have been brought in and out, he was completely ruined and mismanaged by this awful organization. Trent and JP both had tremendous upside and talent that a good organization would have molded into something significant. But again, this organization is so mismanaged and poorly run that it doesnt even matter.

If I were either one of those guys, I would be absolutely pissed that my career was ruined by this team. Oh and I am not done, I would opt out of the draft if I were slated to go to the Bills this year..AND...if somehow I were a top draft pick and wound up being selected by the Bills, I would hold out for as long as it took for the Bills to drop me, sighting both Trent Edwards and JP Losman as my point of example for not wanting to play.

We're talking millions of dollars at stake, and potentially a 7-10 year window to earn money and set-up a life for myself. Is that somehting you would place in the hands of arguably the most poorly run organization in the NFL? I would not, and I would be interested to mentally pick the brain of someone that would.

  7. ROFL at you hypocrites. When Belichick doesn't shake hands vigourously enough he's a scumbag but its no problem that Peyton and Wayne mope off the field and don't even shake hands you give them a free pass.

No problem with that at all.

And dude are you serious? Even if Belichick did, Bills fans would still call him a scumbag.....im scratching my head wondering "why is this dork on this board? and is he retarded?"

But to comment on your statement (youre a total tard by the way), EVERYONE outside the AFC East gets a pass on trivial matters such as this.

    ps...you're a loser.

  8. I'm 41 and consider The Who one of my favorite bands.

If they choose what passes for modern "country" for next year I'll certainly tune out. Most modern country is absolute crap played by no-talent assclowns.

I bet they stick with "classic" rock. I would guess someone like Fogarty. Maybe even someone crappy but with widespread appeal like Bon Jovi. If not classic rock, then maybe Stevie Wonder or someone like that. Or they could be retro and go with Up With People for the millionth time.

Agreed. Bon Jovi sucks now, and ps losers, they've always sucked. There's no argument there, so dont waste your time.

  10. Dang, now you are dissing Buffalo. Please stop!!!! You are getting me upset, please stop picking on us!

    I live here fool.

You're going to honestly say the weather here between December and May is at all enjoyable?

You need to take a vacation to somewhere warm buddy. You'll know what I'm talking about once you do that.

  11. SLAP IN THE FACE

If you offered the entire population of Buffalo the chance to go to Miami right now the city would look like this weekend Chernobyl.

And have you ever been downtown on a regular Saturday? This place looks like Chernobyl already.....Theres not even stores open...

You know what it looks like, it looks like the opening scene in I Am Legend...just an empty city.

  12. Buffalo would be the best place in the world to live if you could leave Jan 1st thru April 1st. Buffalo is great, but I think 99% of the people in Buffalo would gladly spend Jan thru March in South Florida

    I would say December 26th - May29th...

Spring is the worst time of year...rain, mud, cold, its literally hell on earth.

  13. I would like to see a poll of players that played in Buffalo for at least 2 seasons and rate what their experience here was. I think our and Greenbay's ratings are more so based off of rep then actual experience with that city or organization.

I bet it would be awful....this is a terrible place to play for many reasons, to include career development, weather, money, etc.

And I also bet GreenBay is based on the fact that its weather sucks, and it is located in the middle of nowhere. I wouldnt want to go there.

  14. Hardy disappeared after that "jump ball" against the Jags because he had a series of very ineffective games with a lot of costly penalties and mistakes (ie running wrong routes). The team decided he was no ready. I agree, he was going to be a project when they drafted him. As for why he has remained in the cupboard...he tore his ACL last year and wasn't even added to the active roster from the "PUP" list until after mid-season. He still had a ton of potential.

    Interesting..didnt know that.

Ive never missed any games, ever really....and I can not recall him being on the field, dressed on the sidelines, etc EVER after that Jump-Ball. That is why I was curious.

...and how the hell did he tear his ACL? in practice? I mean, I literally dont think I have ever heard or seen anything about him after he caught that ball.

I thought it was just SOP for the Bills.....who more and more I am actually starting to hate, and almost dont even care if the franchise is moved.

  15. While bringing in free agents is a great way to build a team, i also believe that the bills have not properly assessed some of the rookie players they have drafted in the last two years. Among the top of my list of players that I as a bills fan desire to see are Hardy and Nelson. The bills arent known for having extremely tall receivers until the TO experiment failed in Buffalo. Hardy was selected with the 41st overall pick out of Indiana in the 08 draft. He is 6'5'' and 220 lbs and is the tallest wide receiver ever drafted by the bills. He has tremendous athleic abilty and probably would have been more succesful than TO this past year. Nelson is another tall receiver at Tight End. He was taken with the 121st pick in the 09 draft out of southern miss. He stands at 6'5'' and 240 lbs. Also has tremendous athletic ability.

I understand that signing free agents who have already proven themselves in the NFL is a much lower risk move and is much more appealing to a lot of owners. However it is not always practical and more importantly affordable. There MUST be a healthy balance between drafted and developed players along with free agent signings. While it would be wonderful to bring in a Chris Chambers or an Anquan Boldin, it also would be great to develop some young guys and raise their stock over the years. I realize that there are lots of drafted players that prove to be busts, especially in bills recent history. I would simply like to see James Hardy and Shawn Nelson a bit this year to make an accurate assesment. These Kids have a ton of potential. :wallbash:

Agreed. I actually thought Hardy pulled a Christian Okoye .....and simply disappeared into nowhere. I refrence that player because news was minimal when he went away. Its like we say Hardy catch a "Jump-Ball" touchdown (which is exactly what we drafted him to do) and that was it. He was put away in a cupbord or something.

I blame all of this on the past administration and ownership (which by the way is the worst run business...ive ever seen, they simply have a product that people want which keeps them out of the red). As I blame much of JP Losmans and Trent Edwards failures on them also. This team has been, for soooooo long, been a place that completely destroys careers, both new and veteran, that I am shocked ANYONE plays here, or coaches here. Its an awful, awful, awful organization to work for, looking from the outside. In fact, I would fake injury and do just about anything to not have to play here.

which is what I believe happened with both of these players...or they "fell through the cracks" which is completely possibly is this crap organization.
