  1. If he was the key to the playoffs or Super Bowl then yes you take him. I don't see Center as being the final piece to the puzzle to get this team over .500. Personally, I think Hangartner did a good job with two rookie guards next to him and both we adjusting to new positions from college.

Looking at this list, Mawae doesn't seem to offer any major upgrade over Hangartner. http://profootballfocus.com/by_position.ph...&numgames=1

Is Mawae a Pro Bowler? yeah, but so were Jason Peters and Travis Henry

good point. i was thinking a year max, but i do see what you're saying...i think im grasping for anything at this point.

  2. How can our offense exploit their defense? Two very strong one-on-one corners and a first round pick that was the best cover corner drafted. They put these guys on an island and put nine in the box.

Running against nine in the box is tough and passing against their corners might be pretty tough too.

Good special teams coach and special teams in general.

Good offensive line. Addition of Holmes adds speed to receiving corp.

I don't want to roll over here by any means but man they look tough.

  3. Good post. Easley has a lot to contribute and is just getting started. He definitely could beat out Hardy and/or Johnson for a big role on offense this year. Heck, with a little luck and some good coaching, he could turn into a pretty damn good #1 wide receiver, he has the tools necessary. Besides, I think Lee would be much more effective as a #2.

    Just my two cents.

You're joking right? He's basically never played WR before...keep your hopes up.

  4. Remember this?...none of that looks so good any more! That whole class of QB's can get flushed. It was my brothers wedding day and I remember having the bar tender running me draft picks. Young, Leinert, Cutler...sucks.

Watch the video, please! It is amazing after the draft to be ab le to see these kinds of highlights...and...now...(I tried looking for a highlight but you cannot recognize what has not been done.)

  5. I have to disagree with you on this one. The Spiller pick was a lot of things, to include a marketing ploy. Furthermore, if their supposed hardcore interest in Tebow has any shred of truth to it, that to would only refute your claim.

well, i guess i just think that if their main agenda was Marketing, they wouldve thrown everything out the winda and went straight for Tebow.

Buddy did say he loved Tebow, but he was not in their future...and I believe it because so far they seem to do only what they say.

I also think they know Colt is they're guy and now they're making a move to get him....your thoughts?

  6. Mark Gaughn's article had this:

'They could have taken the third tackle in the draft — either Iowa's Bryan Bulaga or Rutgers' Anthony Davis. They could have taken nose tackle Dan Williams of Tennessee or pass rusher Derrick Morgan of Georgia Tech.

"I told you guys the last time we met that need was important, but it had to be a guy who we felt could start immediately, not that those other guys couldn't," Nix said.'

What a great quote, " it had to be a guy who we felt could start immediately, not that those other guys couldn't" Totally illogical, but entertaining.

I guess he wasn't kidding when he said he wasn't the smartest guy.

They took Spiller to sell tickets and create some buzz. How about that shot at Lee Evans that the team had no game breakers? I think he was right about that unfortunately.

Now I wouldn't be surprised if they took a QB or WR.

Speaking of need, they will probably be shopping for starting OT's in round 7.

Like the intensity, but I disagree.

    1. Of all the GM HC combinations in the league, this one has already proven to not be interested in Russ Brandon's "Sell Tickets any way you can" campaign.

    2. Lee Evans is not a game breaker. He's a great wide receiver that can not get open...which is a huge thing for a WR. If he cant get open, he cant break open anything....and yes I agree, maybe if he had a supporting cast QB and other WR's, he would be.

    3. Who touches the ball every play of the game offensively? QB. And we need one. Personally I like, McCoy. So I want them to go get him.

    Just my opinion man.
