  1. Not sure of the validity or Jason Cole's track record: http://nfltraderumors.co/nfl-notes-todd-gurley-49ers-bills-chargers-packers/ Jason Cole of B/R spoke with outgoing coaches from the Bills’ staff who are angry with DT Marcell Dareus for his criticism of former HC Rex Ryan’s defense. The coaches who spoke to Cole says that Dareus was “incredibly lazy” even when he was healthy and not suspended. Cole’s source added that Dareus was regularly on his phone or iPad during meetings and not paying attention to what was being discussed by the coaching staff. According to Cole, veteran DT Kyle Williams had to constantly tell Dareus what his assignments were during games
  2. Same here, Tate ranked 5th in punts and 6th in kick returns. Recall him making a few big catches versus Cincinnati. He has versatility.
  3. Kubiak worked with Dennison and the QB coach Greg Knapp to develop weekly game plans. I would expect a similar system here. Helps to have that experience.
  4. The owner and Whaley both stated the coaching staff would play a role in deciding Taylor's future. So far I would say that no one really has a firm grasp on what the Bills will do. This is conjecture at this point. Comparably I would prefer they keep Taylor over an option of Manziel or Cutler. But to each their own.
  5. Fairly certain McDermott has control of the hiring of his coaching staff.
  6. The part of the interview that I found interesting was the implication that Marcel played a major role in the ouster of Karl Dunbar. Guess there were rumors of this last offseason, maybe not a surprise at this point.
  7. Wow, hadn't heard that. Is there more to the story? Proehl stepping aside etc...
  8. Boyst was hinting at this a few days ago. Bit of a shakeup with Carolina's staff with Proehl stepping aside.
  9. It's worth a discussion, probably not to the point WGR is dissecting it.
  10. Nope, the interview with Whaley was conducted after the news conference. It's listed on BB.com and has been for awhile. This whole thing came out of left field.
  11. The John Murphy spot was just a replay of the Chris Brown video conducted after McDermott was hired.
  12. Everyone's freaking about a video posted four days ago. Let me guess WGR has the masses whipped up.
  13. Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora Hearing the Bills may be inclined to pursue Alex Van Pelt for their OC opening pending outcome of Packers season.
  14. Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora Hearing the Bills may be inclined to pursue Alex Van Pelt for their OC opening pending outcome of Packers season. Has ties to them
  15. The Bills have already done the headline splash and unfortunately it didn't work in their favor. I think this quote from Rivera sums things up well. "Sometimes when you hire people, you need to look at not whether or not they’re the hot guy, but what they’ve done consistently over a period of time." McDermott has fielded a top 10 defense four years running: 2015: The Panthers ranked sixth in total defense, fourth against the run, sixth in points allowed, sixth in sacks and first in interceptions. 2014: The Panthers were 10th in total defense in a season that began with star defensive end Greg Hardy playing only one game and going on the commissioner’s exempt list while dealing with a domestic violence issue. McDermott also had to replace to big pieces of his secondary -- safety Mike Mitchell and cornerback Captain Munnerlyn. 2013: The Panthers finished second in total defense, second against the run, second in points allowed, first in sacks and fifth in interceptions. By far McDermott's best defense. 2012: The Panthers finished 10th in total defense and ninth in sacks despite a 7-9 record.

  17. Let me guess Schwartz grandson doesn't like it. A year of Scottlaw airing his grievances in every single thread. Why not take a hiatus or maybe just maybe give it a chance before you sh*t on the idea.
  18. Jim Schwartz : Career 29-52 (.358) Gus Bradley : Career 14-48 (.226) John Skelton : TD-INT 15-25 Seriously? These are the guys being proposed. TBN has the masses whipped into a delirious furor.
  19. His track record regarding the Bills isn't exactly great. Reading between the lines I would assume the leak isn't an internal issue but rather from someone with outside ties to the organization i.e., agent of a player / coach. That's the way PR works these days.
  20. Pretty obvious listening to that interview and previous musings that he has an axe to grind over the handling of Marrone and the organization not being blown up in favor of Polian and his son.
  21. He shied away from contact and avoided tackles all night. Darby got burnt several times but he played to his ability, the same can't be said about Gilmore's effort tonight.
  22. I think he's worth a shot. Tate ranked 9th in 2015 for kick & punt returns. I would imagine if he doesn't pull his weight on special teams you would most likely see him cut when either Dareus or Lawson returns. You might see that move regardless.
  23. Report per “@MikeGarafolo: Bills are signing former Redskins safety Bacarri Rambo.”
