I always park on Big Tree (one of the houses somewhat close to the 219 entrance) for 10 bucks, then hoof it over to the Hammer Lot.

Feel free to give the cashier $11.00 for the use of Hammer's Lot as you seem to enjoy the atmosphere. Thank You for your support.

Depends on what your plan for having fun is and how fast you need to exit.  For instance, ECC lots have lots of green space in surrounding areas that can be used for fun and games.  Parking is $25 there.  The further away you are willing to be, the cheaper the price and the quicker the exit.  The New Era Field House is great for pregame activities and is underutilized, imo.    It's free to enter and offers plenty to do.  There are usually many kid friendly activities, free group photos and Bills alumni brought in to sign autographs.  I park at Bert's Bikes on Southwestern Drive for $15 and the walk through the ECC lots to my seat is about 3/4 of a mile.   There is a traffic light there and I can easily head south from there.

If you want to tailgate before and after then all options are ok.  If you are headed north and are in a hurry you need to listen to someone else's advice.

ECC lots lack restrooms so make sure you use the woods near community drive. Don't worry when the police arrest you for indecent exposure.

    Do prime spots cost more?

    No

Yeah, I’m not sure if I can make it either. My kids have sports going on, I am busy at work and my wife’s mom has been having a little trouble with some tenderness in her ass. She says it hurts when she takes a crap and is tender to the touch. So it’s really a game time decision for me. I hope it works out, but you just never know with these types of situations. I do think you have made the right decision though.

Thank You for honoring my simple request to keep this thread clean of clutter.

To all; please refrain from comments except your desired parking spot. Tabulators are busy (read Drunk) and can lose count when distracted. Thank you.

Please delete all posts that don't ask for a prime or general parking spot. Thank You

I would agree it would be bad if everyone parked there and tried to leave at the same time, but look at other stadiums downtown- Baltimore, Cincinnati, Detroit, etc.  they have parking for about 8-10,000 cars around the stadium at most. For example: You have to use the light rail in Baltimore that drops you off right at the stadium.

Buffalo already has the free light rail metro service that deliver people from other areas down to the Harbor.  Not to mention the fact that some of the concerts down town have attracted 40,000+ just to canal side - so the volume of people can be handled.

The experience will be vastly different from the OP experience and the first couple of preseason/regular season games will be a nightmare- just as it is in OP when they changed the traffic patterns a couple of years ago and no one knew where they were going.  Then everyone settled into a pattern and people meet up and it becomes a new normal.

Buffalo light rail 6 miles Baltimore 21 miles Big difference. 40,000 for concerts at canalside??? I doubt that highly. Guns and Roses was in the 30,000s at NEF.

I loved him as a player but he is a historic mess on the Murphy show. He is incapable of asking a concise question, that is, a question that doesn’t include all of his long winded opinions on a topic. He has no idea about what it means to have a guest on the show. Today he had Daniel Jeremiah from NFL network on the show. Steve would not SHUTUP. Never asked a question, just gave his long winded opinion on everything. Talked longer than the guest. For not the first time. . Hey Steve, you have three hours there to give the listeners your takes, when you have a guest on, let them talk;  and shut the f up for a change.

    Right,  Murphy. Very tough listen

What??? Nobody tells me anything. ?? Cough Cough! Lee Evans will also be in the lot for the opener. We are also working on a "Once in a Lifetime" event to be held 9-21-19. We are still working out some details, Official announcement roughly in 2-3 weeks. As always the TBDAHOT parking list will be posted 1 month (8-22-19) from the date of the event. New this year, to reduce clotter, keep it on topic, stray off, you could lose your reservation.

I can now tell you that Code Socks will be doing a live podcast with Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones, and Joe Licata along with Cold Front in the front of Hammers Lot. I would guess (?) besides Lee Evans you might see other former Bills in attendance.

...so then did he categorize in inner circles (forget the link request crap) that the Bills were "Kim's baby"?....perhaps we have a huge disconnect as far as his community enriching ventures versus SOLELY looking for financial gain......why the Harbor Center major investment?......why purchase additional real estate in downtown Buffalo?...why purchase the AHL  Amerks in Rochester, negotiate to take over management of the arena and then pledge $10 mil towards upgrades?....couldn't he find safer less speculative investment vehicles if his SOLE purpose was to make money?....just curious as to why you  underestimate the guy's sense of community.....

I hear Terry is investing in Canada. Details in the future and no it's not land for a stadium.

Great point PTR.  Besides the 1st ward has so much unused space, there could be more than enough room to tailgate.  If they are all stadium lots, they will also police much more dilligently all of the idiots jumping on tables which which gives the Bills a bad name.

I'll let you in on a secret, idiots table slam in stadium lots.

  10. I believe the Bills had this planned  before last season. I don't remember reading about any arrests/actions from the Bus Lot in a newspaper or seeing anything on tv. From what I understand if security saw you do something wrong they would not act at the time of the incident. A plain clothes security guard would follow you to the ticket gate, your ticket scanned and then you were asked to leave the property.

I think a substantial number of Bills fans would like to see the edge taken off the shenanigans and the fan's reputation.  I don't think the Pegulas would enjoy laying out a huge insurance settlement for a paraplegic or quadraplegic who jumped off a bus and landed wrong on a table.  I think we all enjoy the reputation of being passionate die-hard fans who have stuck with the team through a long drought, but I don't think I'm the only one who finds it uncomfortable that Bills Fan has become synonymous with stupid-drunk self-immolating table-smasher in some circle.

Why would the Pegulas be liable? Did they tell the fan to jump off the bus? Is the fan not responsible for his own actions?

See, I'm trying to UP your revenue - Lunch and a Show @ Hammer's $13 (gotta undercut the Bills just enough) with the TaigateBros.org.

I'll cook the white hots, Kenny and crew have the show covered - all you'll have to do is drop the occasional hammer on the unruly...

And people wonder why I am the way I am game days.

It will be interesting to see how busy the bus/rv lot is going to be this season.  Do people accept the increased cost/forced tailgate, or do they relocate to non-stadium lots?  I'm sure it's a combination of: opportunity to make more money, decrease liability, and test waters for downtown stadium.

Notice that in the Q&A with WGR, the Bills rep noted the many pre-game venues that the Bills have in and around the stadium.  Adding (forcing) another "sanitized" option is another test balloon for how well a downtown stadium works.  If the Bills can continue to sanitize the game-day experience and funnel it to team-owned or sponsored events, then it just prepares fans for the eventual downtown stadium move.  It will go something like this: "It's ok if there are no places downtown to tailgate, fans have been enjoying the "Tailgate Village" and "Miller Lite Fun Zone" for the past 5 seasons without any issues."  Never mind that it was forced on people with no choice.

Ultimately, from some of the interviews I've seen with both Pegulas, I don't think they particularly enjoy the tailgating or the reputation the fans have.  That's just my opinion, but it certainly seems that way.  I think they'd be more than happy to curtail the shenanigans, and I'm sure the league is pushing very hard for them to monetize anything and everything.

The Bills rep is Andy Major. I remember him saying interview after interview for years all the tailgating incidents were on property the Bills do not control, private lots. I even called him out while he was doing a TV interview. Now he admits there are problems in the stadium lots. I don't trust a word he sez.
