Roughly $160/ticket for cheap seats for a Billy Joel stadium show. Late boomers have lotsa bucks or there is a paucity of entertainment options in WNY...or both.

Just as I thought. They are holding back tickets. Sold out front floors now showing good seats 14 row from stage $164 plus fees.

They must have sold a lot in the past day. Tuesday night when I first looked, my entire section (238) was available.

Floor front sections were sold out now I see a row or 2 available so they must be holding back tickets. It will be interesting to see if any front floors are available on Friday. My ex brother in law was a manager ( Stevie Ray Vaughn, Cinderella & others) so I have a little knowledge of the ticket buying flow. He said WNY sells the first week than it drops off till the week of the show.

Club seat holders could buy club seats today. Since being on sale at 10am, I still see a lot of seats available in the club sections.

7:30 am Thursday 20 club seats left, 4 seats left in the front floor sections. Wondering if they are holding back seats for Thursdays pre sale groups and Friday when everyone can buy tickets. They have  been promoting the show heavily in tv & radio. Has anyone seen any promotions in Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton etc?

I think it's also cause he is doing a big tour next year and is someone who could fill a football stadium for a show.

Surprised it's not Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift though.......

My wife's half sister out west was trying to go see him this summer and couldn't get tickets locally, closest spot she could get to see him was about 8-12 hours away in another province. She posted online about it and how she couldn't get a hotel cause they were all booked, so a radio DJ in the city where he was playing saw it and said she could stay at her place and go to the show where they also got upgraded seats from the radio station.

Garth is in the second year of a three year stadium tour. He just announced a show in Detroit

  5. Not for a player signing and not for playoff tickets information,  perhaps management not confident in this roster yet, but for a concert. Was hoping for Garth Brooks (Billy Joel) but rumor has it there will be more than one show at NEF this year. Garth would sell out, Billy I'm guessing 35 to 40,000 perhaps more considering if it's a weekend show.

    Pizza Joe?  Who’s that ;)

Pizza Pete!! Glad they made the right decision to free load in Hammers Lot! Tell them next time to help pick up trash, it will warm their hearts doing so! Mark, the guy who shared those wings, is probale the smartest guy in the lot hands down.

Awesome - I brought my 7 year old, and we got to watch a drunk guy hang on the hood of someone else's car while they tried to drive away.  Eventually he ripped their  wiper blades off after pouring beer on their windshield.  A crowd of bystanders stepped in to film the event in vertical position.  I assume the victory kept everyone in good spirits because nobody threw a punch.  - Not in Hammers Lot.

    In my Lot?

I usually park and tailgate at kettles.  It’s a good tailgate but more family oriented - and real bathrooms.  Maybe once a year (when we leave the kids at home), we’ll do Hammers.

There are real bathrooms in the building with the white roof behind the berm at Hammers Lot

  8. Heard this the other day and to me it makes sense. There has been talk about the need for a new larger convention center in Buffalo. How about converting the current Buffalo, or what ever it's called now, arena into a convention center. There is conversation going on how the Buffalo arena is substandard to other arenas/venues.  So building a new up to date arena in the cobblestone district makes sense. Terry Pegulas main interest is hockey.  Look at the investment in the Penn State "Pegula "hockey arena. This would help in the so called stimulus that's needed for downtown and be near his downtown investments. Concerning expanding the lower concourse at NEF I wonder if any of his company's knowledge in fracking drilling could be used to break up the rock at the lower concourse level. Terry has also recently bought a mine. It seems his companies are specialized in Geology.  Fire Away.

  9. Had em 25 years ago. 6pm on a Friday sharp pain in my back.  As I was remodeling upstairs, At the time I was having major back problems so I thought I threw my back out. I had to crawl down stairs. Could barely reach the phone on the wall to call for help. Slept two days standing up draped over the back of a chair. Sunday 3pm went to hospital. Did the meds until on Wednesday the pain got worse. I told the doctor I think the nurse is doing some of my pain meds! Nope, the rocks were moving so I got a cocktail, Demerol & Darvin. So buzzed I ate dinner with my fingers! They passed at 7pm. Out of hospital by 8:30pm. Good Times, NOT

I too am looking for a bus tailgate spot.  Not interested in tailgate village. “Cash grab”  and no tailgating after the game. And no propane allowed.  Got 20 guys.  This our 8th tailgate to buffalo.   It’s too bad that the few ruin it for all.  Does anyone know of any private lots for bus parking.

    Try Wings on California Road
