  1. The hardest thing for a politician to do is take away what was already given. People would rather see the ship sink in a sea of flames than make actual sacrifices. What you're seeing in Europe now is sacrifices being made when it's too late. The ship is beyond repair.

  4. You mean Arab countries aren't the beacon of human rights? Shocking!!! Meanwhile, today in a shopping mall, a bunch of hippies were shouting "Palestine will be free"
  5. I believe there is bipartisan consensus on this statement.
  6. What kind of logic is that?
  7. Israel nor Egypt want anything to do with Gaza. Remember there were settlers who lived there who had their settlements dismantled all in an effort for some sort of peace. The blockade began after the rocket fire. You fail to see how the rest of the Arab leaders use Israel and Gaza as their own way of keeping their own legitimacy (See Morsi aka Moubarak 2.0). You fail to see how Hamas keeps their legitimacy by touting that they "won" against Israel last week. I'm sure the 100+ people that died would disagree but yet, their legitimacy has increased. I also agree that Abbas has been marginalized by Israel and I don't agree with Bibi's method of dealing with the peace process but as Thomas Friedman once said, we in the west are disillusioned if we believe the same **** that works over here will work over there. In the middle east, you rule by the sword.
  8. Do you have any idea how !@#$ing cold it gets here from January to mid March? I'm not that worried about a little Texas cold.
  9. I'm quite certain that if Palestinians had their own state, that they would be in liberty and freedom, just ask the Egyptians... oh never mind.
  10. Don't like the kitchen cabinets.
  11. Do you think the workers care about the needs of management or are they simply exchanging their abilities in exchange for a wage? It's amazing how my parents and their peers who didn't speak the languages, didn't have any marketable skills still managed to live a fairly decent life with 4 kids.
  12. I don't disagree, then why the need for a union?
  13. I'll take one article and raise you another article http://www.jewishfederations.org/page.aspx?id=64336 In all honesty I don't care about who created Hamas. I was referring to his other 3 points.
  14. Right. I think we know who is wrong in this thread.
  15. I wouldn't say completely outnumbered. He has Joe the Six pack/lybob... ok he's outnumbered.
  16. 1) Didn't Abbas practically rescind the right of return a couple of weeks ago? Maybe that's why tensions rose again since I doubt the other factions agree. 4) Yep, 70% + of the Jewish vote went to BHO.
  17. I am a hybrid. I fist bump and have greasy hair but I eat poutine and am very friendly.
  18. Its OK, we're finally sucking out the wealth /EII
  19. And I am a Canadian citizen. that doesn't mean I don't refer to Italy as home.
  20. There were settlements in Gaza that were taken down when Israel left. I'm quite certain that they would be in any peace process.
  21. Perhaps they should start by eliminating the clause in their charter that calls for the destruction of Israel? Just a hunch.
  22. Oh OK so you have me convinced now I agree with gg 's latest assessment
  23. No, they landed in empty fields because they have no guidance systems.
