it was not a cold day, but it definitely wasn't sunny. Windchill wasn't a factor - wind may have been though.

lots of troubles there...and I won't go into details, but there certainly aren't 2.5 million bills fans out there willing to give $10. The entire state of NY probably doesn't have 2.5 million people north of westchester. The amount of money a team like the patriots or redskins can make from boxes and corporate seats is staggering. The pats club seats - not boxes - go for about $450 per ticket per game if I remember correctly - Buffalo simply doesn't have those kinds of businesses or fans who can pay that kind of $$.

well put albany (though I still don't like willis). If willis was tomlinson on the field nobody would make a peep. There is plenty more to add to that list as well - just ask the orchard park police or some local businesses if they know anything else about good old #12.

it sounds like this is what he put in the prenup. i don't get it...

Eagles punt on 4th down with 1:54 left
gmac17 replied to gmac17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
from an iggles message board: (in reference to the 4th and 26 that helped them win the nfc championship game 2 years ago...) -
You obviously forgot the one category that counts most. Fox has much better robots.
-
The eagles punt on 4th and 15 from their own 40 or so with under 2 minutes left. They have 2 timeouts, so basically if the Saints get a first down, they win (so field position really doesn't matter that much). Yet not one of the announcers says anything about it - not even a "the eagles are counting on their defense being able to stop them 3 and out". It takes 10 minutes until the post game show when jimmy johnson says the should have gone for it (he obviously felt strongly about it because he brought it up completely out of context). Not sure what annoys me more, Reid not going for it or the announcers not even mentioning the subject.

the online voting was only 30% of the decision. i read that he works for a marketing firm...which makes it very likely he had some help on the idea....

Happy Ending???

I know a guy who played football one year at Georgetown. At the end of his Junior year he declared himself eliglible, and lied about his size (said he was a long snapper). The coach called him to yell at him because he kept getting calls from NFL teams... so, if you are in college that might be a halfway amusing thing to do..

who lost more money this week - Troy Smith or Brady Quinn? Both lost themselves at least $5 million....
-
and the nfl really tries to teach these guys how much they f things through this kind of stuff. not enough of them listen....

at most it was a soft push - certainly not a hit. And it is also totally obvious the kid is f'ing with the tiger to provoke him.

What do you think about the black cleats this year
gmac17 replied to coachhillenbrand's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry dude, once you go black you never go back. -
Mike Greenberg would take Brady over Montana
gmac17 replied to Willis990's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you are kidding, right? I think brady is great and all (it pains me to say so) but he has benefitted from excellent defense and special teams in his playoff runs. I saw the other day that mannings defense has allowed 21 points per game in the playoffs, while brady's has allowed 15.8 or so - pretty big difference there. -
I suggest you live a few days in the shoes of some parents and I'm pretty sure your mind would be changed. I know firsthand how much the pharma companies try to promote diseases, but to say that ADD doesn't exist is plain dumb.

i don't think anyone who does this is trying to imitate a real haircut - it is just a stupid style. your rebellious haircut is safe.

For those of you who don't know, the site is a fake blog written by bledsoe. Here is the final post.... Sunday, January 07, 2007 Game Over. This blog was a way for me, Drew Bledsoe, to deal with the 2006 Dallas Cowboys season. The season is over. And now so is this blog. If I learned anything from Jerome Bettis, Jerry Seinfeld, and myself, it's that you should always leave them wanting more. Go out on top. I don't want to be like Tony Romo, and peak early then fizzle out into obscurity and show up at the ProBowl in one month feeling like a 7th grader who crashed a prom knowing that I don't deserve to be there, hanging around all the "grown ups" knowing that everybody thinks that Matt Hasselback or Jon Kitna are better quarterbacks than me and that I cost the Cowboys a chance to advance to the next round because I couldn't hold on to a football, and I smell, and I don't like Burgers. That's not who I am. So this will be my last post. I want to thank everybody who's ever read this blog. You are responsible for this greatness more than I am. Of course, that's not true. The only reason you are here is because I'm a master story teller. I was just being modest. When I started this blog exactly 75 days ago (maybe, I'm just guesstimating) I had no idea how much of an impact it would have on my life. I just wanted an outlet. A way to share with the world my hilarious, well-articulated thoughts. I realized during the live blog last night that it has become so much more than that. I'm now not just a future hall of fame quarterback, but a future hall of fame author/entertainer as well. So where do we go from here? Will I be back next year? Did Homo cry like a little girl in the locker room last night? These are questions that have no answers. Except for the Homo crying one. The answer to that is "OH God yes." That reminds me. One final Homo story for the road: As Homo sat by his locker, with this head in his hands shivering from sadness, tears rolling off of his elbows and onto his knees, I almost felt bad enough not to mess with him... But I couldn't resist! I walked up to him, put my hand on his shoulder and said "Hey Buddy. I know how you're feeling. This is probably the low point in your life. You look around and you're surrounded by a room full of people you've disappointed today. It's tough to look any one of us in the eye and say "Thanks for practicing all year long and preparing, but it doesn't matter because I couldn't hold onto a football." As an athlete there is nothing worse than letting your team down. It's hard, I know. It's really hard. But on the plus side I saved a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to Geiko. Also -- Did you get my letter? Because I think I forgot to STAMP IT!" He moved his foot as I went to stomp on it, but I think I got him pretty good otherwise. Okay, thanks for reading everybody. It's been fun. I'm leaving the comments open, so if you have anything to say, just know that I'll be reading them. Burgers, Drew Bledsoe.

let me see here, for month after month one of the top stories across americas was about three kids who supposedly raped a girl - and the word Duke was associated with the story every single time. Although I'm pretty sure "ruining of reputation" is not something that can be backed up with numbers (making your request incredibly stupid) you would have to be an utter ass to think that their reputation has not seriously suffered.

you can definitely punt it after a safety

Is it your own slingbox feed or someone elses? Speaking of that - how about that for a website idea - trade slingbox passwords so you can watch anything anywhere....

I think the spot call was **probably** the right call, but it is too bad replay had a big part in this game. That last tackle was amazing - that guy better get some credit because he won the game for the seahawks. tonyhomo.com is halway amusing tonight...can't believe Drew kept it updated all season.

yes, you win some you lose some but a prosecutor shouldn't call a press conference to talk about how horrible someone is, only to drop a charge down the road. He gets plenty of press when he takes people to task, but amazingly doesn't call press conferences when he drops things.
-
Molson - How many press conferences did he have v.s. convictions? How many times did he declare someone guilty and then drop the charges....

Coors and Keystone, Same Beer, Different Cans
gmac17 replied to molson_golden2002's topic in Off the Wall Archives
the specially lined can is the horizontal lines that are on the design of every can. it reminds me of the simpsons where they tour the duff factory and there is one giant tank that has 12 pipes coming out into different bottling lines - one for duff ice, cherry duff, duff lite etc.
