  1. A mid roster, poor GM and questionable coaching are not easy fixes
  2. Seeing as this continues to happen it's apparent either Brady doesn't listen or McDermott isn't really opposed to it
  3. Beane's crashout on WGR was stupid at the time and looks even more stupid today. I do also wonder how much control McDermott has over the draft. I think it's more than most coaches.
  4. The Chiefs have been to like 5 of the last 6 SBs or something crazy. Won 3 of them. We haven't been to ONE with McDermott and Beane. There is no pressure on the Chiefs. We are as Super Bowl or Bust as you can get and it's obvious we have the same glaring coaching/roster issues we've had for years that have prevented us from getting there.
  5. I'm fully ready to move on from Brandon Beane. He has proven himself to be a very poor early round drafter and it seems like we are straddled with bad contracts every year. The roster badly needs a talent upgrade. I would reluctantly stay with McDermott IF he completely gives up on controlling the defense, brings in a legit DC (not someone who is his puppet like Babich) and just focuses on head coaching duties. This will never happen though.
  6. Nah, just give him 3 years 30 million... That's the true Beane way
  7. 1) Babich is clearly not the answer. The defense has regressed badly since he arrived. Is that all his fault? No. 2) Beane and McDermott were the right guys in 2017. They aren't anymore.. if Pegula has a serious desire to win a super bowl.. which I'm not sure about. 3) It is a very weird feeling that by every measure this is a very good era of Bills football but it's also been disappointing because of how crushing of a note the season always seems to end on. There isn't a fan base in sports that wants a championship more than the Bills.
  8. McDermott has absolutely no identity whatsoever
  9. New Year Same issues as always Result will be same as always - Get shredded by Reid/Mahomes in the playoffs Rinse/Repeat
  10. Should've hung it up years ago... But McBeane's idiotic loyalty to "the system" is once again costing us. I'm sure we'll trade for the Panthers third string CB at some point.
  11. Absolutely not. The divisional round/occasional AFCG is the ceiling with him and Beane. The coaching and roster aren't good enough to win a SB. Pegula either will never realize this or will when Josh is out of his prime.
  12. I've never said the victories are meaningless. But at this point I'd take a 9-8 regular season and a miracle run to the Super Bowl than I would be 14-3 and lose to the Chiefs again in the playoffs. It's time to cash in on having the best player in franchise history IMO.
  13. At this point I'm over what we do in the regular season. Maybe that's irrational but we are as super bowl or bust as a franchise can get IMO. I see a team that has the same fatal flaws it has had for the last 5 years. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but I fear the defense is going to get lit up again in the playoffs and no matter what 17 does we're going to lose in the divisional/AFCG like we do every year. That is just the ceiling with Beane/McDermott IMO.
  14. The Bills/Jets series is much more competitive right now than the Bills and the sorry ass Dolphins
  15. Yeah I'm not getting bent out of shape over this one... It's obviously insurance and for mentoring Cole Bishop, who certainly seems to need it at this point.
