  1. I just want you to know I read "Is this legit" to the tune of Huey Lewis and The News "If this is it" and to tell you so it sounds like it is not since that account that posted seems to be not serious.
  2. The guy from Pro Football Focus Brad Speilberger was just on WGR and he just mentioned Panthers Donte Jackson as a CB that fits Buffalos defense and he is inexpensive with another year on his deal. nothing new just thought I would share.
  3. Sounds like the vikings have traded for Josh Dobbs from arizona.
  4. well yes injuries but they are still moving the ball. Purdy's 5 interceptions are the direct reason.
  5. seems to be a random guy looking for attention. I wouldn't put any credibility to what that guy says. He is probably repeating someone else's actual work for attention.
  6. The flip side to this is that Johnson's agent may be realizing that no one is going to pay him what he wants and his best play may be to take the deal Chicago is willing to pay...if he likes it there. Otherwise he can try again in march when he is unrestricted but what if he gets hurt before then or plays poorly? This is probably why chicago let him talk to other teams so that he can get some clarity on the contract situation.
  7. I just saw someone on twitter refer to having taron and jaylon as Johnson & Johnson and I have to say I kind of like it. if Roquan smith required, a 2, 5 and AJ Klein then maybe the comp 3 and a 3 in 25 could get the deal done.
  8. This past week they still put up numbers but the main reason they lost the last two games is the quarterback giving the ball away. Purdy has thrown 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions the past 3 games....he had zero the first 5 games. Deebo Samuel being hurt sunday did not help either.
  9. ***** I have so much work to do today and I can not focus and just keep refreshing...plus i have to go buy more candy for tonight because My fat ass and the rest of my fam ate it all...
  10. They have a ton of cap space, a qb on a rookie contract, in the 24 draft as of right now they have Two 1's, a 3 and two 4's. The 2nd and 3rd draft picks belong to them at the moment. I imagine they see him as a long term fit that is part of the rebuild.
  11. Seeing that they just gave up a pick more than likely in the top 12 of the 2nd round I imagine they have to extend him. They can't miss two years in a row like this.
  12. oh my fault there. I was thinking he had signed....but I guess that would not have made sense.
  13. I would definitely be interested at this point in Chase Young. It seems washington is going to move some more guys and Young is one of the rare few who have an extremely high upside. He can rush from all over. He is going to want that big contract though and so far he doesn't deserve it. but man the potential is off the charts with that guy.
  14. The bears last year traded Roquan Smith to Baltimore for: 2023 2nd and 5th rounders plus AJ Klein. Smith already had a deal in place also so I imagine he is more expensive than Johnson will be.
  15. You can't trade injured players. No. The extension has to be agreed up within certain numbers or you can not make this trade.
  16. The issue is not compensation to the bears. I imagine two teams could get that done quickly. its the contract for Johnson that is the problem and the team that trades for him is going to be in a really tough spot because his agents are going to say well why did you trade for him if you did not think he is this good...etc..
  17. yea that is definitely the issue then. He thinks he is ramsey and the rest of the league does not think he is.
  18. Because they have all the cap space in the world to sign these guys long term however they do not want to keep their best corner and sign him apparently.
  19. So that means a 2nd rounder gets it done for all these guys today.
  20. I don't see it with Dallas. They have an expensive corner in diggs and have paid lewis. They have 3 good corners right now. It could possibly happen, Eberflus was in dallas for years and has a relationship with the people in the front office. He will definitely tell them the deal on johnson. I bet as soon as they find out what kind of money johnson wants they will be out. They have to pay lamb, parsons and prescott again in the next two seasons.
  21. I posted this in the other trade thread and will post it again here. I imagine Johnson and his agents think he deserves to be paid like Ramsey yet his comps are taron johnson, jordan lewis and charvarius ward. That would be like 3 years 23.3 million or 7.7 avg. I imagine this is the holdup with the talks with the bears. So this creates a new wrinkle. Do you want to move extremely valuable trade capital and then pay a player a top end salary who you do not even know? What does this do to the locker room if a guy comes in off another team and is getting this high end money? When you trade for offensive players like Diggs, you can immediately see the results and it is not questioned...especially when they are great like Diggs....When the player is just above average at a position off the line of scrimmage on defense you may not see the immediate results. So if he is brought in and paid then the defense is only marginally better what happens in the locker room? There is a lot more than just what he costs to get in the door. it just seems like something SF will end up doing because they are always going for it and they spend money on defense.
  22. I think you can also add the variable into this. A 3 in 24 that becomes a 2 if he is extended and then a 3 in 25. or a 2 next year and Elam, a 3 next year, Elam and a 5 in 25.
  23. yea that is true and a good point, their free agency will dictate that.
  24. The bears can just keep him and get a 3rd round comp most likely next year. If they are going to move him I imagine it has to be better than the comp pick they will get anyway.
