He just likes the attention it generates. everything they do there is about the attention. Always has been. Jerry caves on every player who challenges him and always has. He will cave on lamb, parsons and Dak. Next year at this time Dak will be the highest paid player in the league. A few years ago zeke held out of camp and went to cabo and was working out on the beach. Jerry said zeke who trying to intimidate him in negotiations, then jerry caved and the team was selling Zeke Who t-shirts. That is who they are.

Lamb is holding out, Parsons is a mental midget and Dak knows he can drive the price up to 60 million plus next offseason. The whole coaching staff is in a lame duck situation and zeke is their starting running back. Jerry had to cancel his opening press conference where he promises a super bowl every year and makes other dumb statements because he was in court fighting with his baby mama in texarkana over some tiny amount of money...during the proceedings the baby mama let out that jerry's son Jerry Jr. who is an executive of the team and is the head of marketing also has a baby mama and he gave his baby mama 20 million. So Jerry's baby mama wanted the same amount.....after this info was made available to the press and with jerry scheduled to take the stand tuesday Jerry reached out and offered money and settled. classy bunch. Jerry also cancelled his big media party he throws at nobu every year during camp..Probably does not want to talk about the baby mama's.

I really wanted Buffalo to sign him. He was basically a direct comp to Davis. However it turns out Dallas let him walk because he was mentally checked out. After his knee injury he was not the same and more importantly he had a brother a few years ago commit suicide and his affected his mental health. My understanding is the cowboys tried everything last year to get him motivated but he just didn't enjoy playing football anymore. I guess they were kind of shocked he signed with the raiders because they thought he was finished playing football. So i guess it makes sense that he retired yesterday.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

That's fair. We all have our own opinions. -

To be clear, I do not care where the bills wr group is ranked. I am pretty comfortable with their talent level. -

This isn't my fight but I have to butt in and ask. Why are you so concerned with where a wr group ranks? Also who is doing the ranking and what are they basing it on. Isn't it more important that the Bills have a good offensive unit that works well together? Outside of fantasy football I fail to see the obsession over the wr group rankings. -

This is all true but one caveat on the Jets game, Allen was sacked five times and they gave up a return for a TD. yes though his second half interceptions can't happen. Joe is back today! -
Bills 2024 Training Camp! (related content only please)

That will be fun but I think the magic in coleman is going to be making acrobatic catches along the sideline. Going up and snatching a ball at the high point while covered. -
Can't trade Dak, He has a no trade clause and has an expiring contract. I would imagine teams would not want to give up draft capital for a guy they can just sign in free agency at this point in the year. Also the cowboys operate as one of the safest teams in the league. The jones family are really dumb so they don't really have anything to offer other than just retrying the same things over and over. That is why Mike Zimmer is back as the DC after the fans had a movement 20 years ago to run him out of town when parcells left. So Dak and these guys are going nowhere. The Jones family will always take the safe route because it keeps optimism up in the offseason and they can continue to market which is their main priority.

Love the buffalo plus folks. Glad to have them back daily with camp opening this week. -
Bryan Broaddus here in DFW is saying that he believes the cowboys are wondering whether or not to trade Micah Parsons instead of paying him next year. Parsons is a huge whiny baby so this should go over well.

Kind of odd to post these postseason numbers when a few key elements that would have helped stop the run were not available. I mean I believe this defense is not physical enough and it has been what is holding back the team from getting to a championship but last year they had linebackers that had no business being on the field trying to stop KC. It was an epic mismatch. The only way to win that game was to beat them 38-35 or something. -

I am a fan of the size of the safeties and bishop's athleticism. They feel thin at cornerback to me but oddly I think the safeties should be a good group. I can't wait to see Dewayne Carter also. -
Yes it's on the athletic and paywalled but its excellent. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5648468/2024/07/22/buffalo-bills-defense-terrel-bernard-injury-linebacker/ here is a snippet... Bernard led the Bills in tackles while recording 6.5 sacks, nine quarterback hits, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries. In the dominant playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, he made four tackles, broke up two passes and recovered a fumble despite lasting just 32 plays, his dislocated right ankle requiring the medical cart to drive him away. He would have made a difference in the three-point loss to Kansas City. He’s a rising star, while replacement A.J. Klein had been cut from the practice squad a month earlier and reckoned himself retired before an emergency recall to Buffalo’s injury-tattered roster as the postseason began. Bernard would have made more effective stops, would have been harder for Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce to handle, would have been a calmer presence in relaying the signals and recognizing plays, would have given McDermott enough confidence in his defense to avoid risking a direct snap to safety Damar Hamlin for an unsuccessful fake punt because giving the ball back to Mahomes felt like surrender.

More importantly they got Coleman plus Dwayne Carter. I can't wait to see carter in the preseason -
Bobby Slowik (OC Houston) called Diggs "One of us" in an interview yesterday. Case closed, he wanted out and he wanted to go to houston and they granted him his wish. Now he is one of them. I can't wait till camp starts so we never have to hear about ol' steve again.

Not Me. I think Coleman will have a nice role here and DeWayne Carter has a shot to be the breakout star of this camp and a huge difference maker as the season wears on. He looks to have all the tools and the power he plays with is going to be fun to watch. Would Allen love to have a blazing fast outside wr to stretch the field, Yes everyone would but Carter and Coleman over Worthy for me everyday. I mean Yea I wish they made that trade with like the panthers or something and worthy did not go to KC but whatever you have to build your own team. -
Framing it that way is the first mistake. They are not replacing diggs. They have changed their approach. Diggs and Davis are gone. There is a new coordinator. The run game should be excellent and better this year. The offensive line is deep. Talented Tight end group. If the running game is what I think it is then this group of wr is going to be just fine and if they are missing a certain element, like a blazing fast deep threat or another play they want inside they have the resources going forward to go find one.
-
Don Shula summed it up a few decades ago. "We will tolerate you until we can replace you" The team decided to get younger and remake the roster. So a constant threat to the locker room is shipped out. Now Josh Allen is the guy in charge at all times and there is no veteran Diva WR that views himself above the quarterback. Team Building 101. They will lose ability on the field with the loss of Diggs and Davis but the plan is to gain in the locker room and in practice. They have firepower and will have salary space in the next few years to go out and get that ability they are looking for if the current group comes up short. In the short term The Bills will have a peaceful situation and the Texans are now on a short list of Favorites in the NFC because they traded for a savior at wr. There is no need for the Bills to care at all about this guy anymore. He wanted out and they sent him to where he wanted to go. Anything he says going forward concerns him and the texans.

Honestly I have heard reporters talk about how jeremy fowler just makes things up and espn knows he does it. So I don't really have any interest in what he says. Not really a fan of any national reporters anymore since everything got skip bayless'd and stephen a smith'd.

39 is a 2. The bills at most should give a 2nd and I would never offer them the minnesota 2 buffalo has. First round picks bring an extra year to the deal. The bills are in no shape to be moving premium picks for veteran players who want 30 million dollars a year. And again, Burnes plays the more important position and he couldn't get a first round pick. Giving up a 1 to the niners would be complete insanity for buffalo.
-
No way he brings back a first. If Brian Burnes at a more important position in the prime of his career can't return a first you would have to be mental to offer a 1st for a guy demanding to be traded. Anyone who gives up a 1st for this guy is crazy.
