Opinions on this wonderful 2024 Bills season at 10-3
Gregg replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
D-line being the biggest one. I don't know what the upcoming draft looks like for D-line men if it's a strong one or not. The Bills do have a lot of picks in the upcoming draft. If Beane can improve the D-Line in the draft, then I think that would put the Bills over the top and a Super Bowl championship would be coming to WNY. -

KC, PIT, or BAL. Most likely it would be one of these teams. I don't think anyone else would. -

Miami has made the playoffs in recent seasons since the Bills have played them. So, I thought they would be competing for a playoff spot and possibly the division just like last year. On paper the Jets looked like they had a strong team that was poised for a good season. I wasn't surprised Rodgers declined given his age, coming off a serious injury, and his last year in GB his stats also declined. What did surprise me was the Jets defense didn't play anywhere near expectations and Breece Hall didn't have a great year either. -
If the Bills have the #2 seed locked up going into the finale against the Pats, then the Bills will probably rest starters and treat it like a preseason game. In this scenario I could see the Pats beating the Bills.

Hopefully this mean Brick Johnson inherits the Jets from Daddy and let him be just as clueless running the team as well. If his son is really involved in the football operations, then that explains a lot as to why they remain a clown show Glenn Naughton on X: "@RichCimini on his flight deck podcast: "You talk to people around the team and his (Woody's) sons, especially Brick, are kind of involved in what's going...and one source told me he (Brick) is 'very much involved' in the football operation"" / X

A. We are beyond just making the playoffs. With Josh the goal is to win a Super Bowl. B. Agree somewhat but like you said a lot of our young players are stepping up. C. Until he wins or gets to a Super Bowl then fans will call him out for his playoff failures. D. Bills are 0-5 on the road in the playoffs under McDermott. Getting the #2 seed is important E. Agree F. Agree. -
Unless Saquon can get 2,004 yards IN FOURTEEN GAMES, he isn't breaking anything. 2,003 yards in 14 games is the real gold standard for rushing not 2,105 yards IN SIXTEEN GAMES. If Saquon needs 17 games to get 2,000 then it's a nice achievement but not the real record. Just like Dickerson doesn't have the real record either.

Can this defense play well against a good team with a good QB. Playoff history shows they can't. If they would lost 27-24 or something like that it wouldn't have bothered me. Losses happen. But to give up 44 points and have the Rams go up and down the field all day was embarrassing. Reminded me of the playoff losses. With that said 10-3 is a fine record and the Bills have a good shot to clinch the #2 seed. I don't trust McDermott in a big spot come playoff time and I definitely don't trust this defense in the playoffs.

' I don't know about win out. The Steelers have a tough schedule and will probably lose a game or two. If the Bills go 3-1, then they should have the #2 seed clinched and maybe the #1 seed if KC loses a couple. But I am not counting on that. I am hoping the Steelers get the Ravens in the playoffs and beat them. The Ravens are one team I don't want the Bills to have to play.
-
I can't see the Bills backing off. They still have to battle the Steelers for the #2 seed. That is something to play for. Play WC weekend and the divisional round at home. If KC loses in the divisional round, then the AFCCG is in OP provided the Bills win their games.

I am surprised he would go to college. I figured he wants to catch Shula for most wins by an NFL HC.

Fire McD and Hire Belichek after we lose AGAIN in the playoffs

If this is the case, then let's hope he stays out of the AFC East and AFC in general. I don't think the Bills are moving on from McDermott anytime soon. -

He may or may not turn out to be a great HC. They were saying the same things about Daboll a few years ago when he had a strong offense with Allen. Look at him now. Going from Allen to Jones is like going from a Porshe to tricycle. Detroit is loaded with offensive talent. Say he goes to the Jets for example. He won't look like an offensive genius at least not until he can get a QB. Even then who knows how it will play out. -
CBS is doing the pre and post-game show from Detroit just like they did in OP a few weeks ago. Yes, it is the game of week. 4:25 start national broadcast.
-
I doubt the Bengals make it. After the Titans this week they get the Browns (always a battle with these teams), Broncos and Steelers. They are not winning all 4 games.
-
Going to be an exciting finish in the NFC West. Seahawks (8-5) and the Rams (7-6). They play against each other in the regular season finale. Great chance that game gets flexed to SNF. Also, the Cards and Niners are still there at 6-7 but it looks like it will be between the Seahawks and Rams.

Some decent teams on the 2025 schedule that would make for good primetime games. Bills will probably 4 or 5 next year. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=8d0467f3aaeb8c80f194a2a1be46302e8ac4f8de100e7f18a6f4184131f676a3JmltdHM9MTczMzc4ODgwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=39432f18-80d3-69d2-2993-3dda815f6841&psq=buffalo+bills+future+schedules&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly9mYnNjaGVkdWxlcy5jb20vbmZsL2J1ZmZhbG8tYmlsbHMv&ntb=1

Fire McD and Hire Belichek after we lose AGAIN in the playoffs
Gregg replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually think the Steelers and Ravens would be tougher games then the Chiefs. The Chiefs don't look as dominant as they have in the past despite their record. It would still be a tough game especially at Arrowhead, but I think the Steelers and Ravens would be the Bills biggest challenge in the AFC playoffs. -
I really want no part of the Ravens. Having Henry makes their offense a lot more dangerous. You still have LJ to deal with. I hope they face the Steelers on WC weekend. Pitt seems to have their number. If the Steelers win the division, then Pitt should beat them at home
-
Exactly. It's not that they lost. The Bills will lose games, but it is the way they lost. Reminded me of all the playoff failures especially the KC and CIN games.

I can't figure them out. Two years ago, they had something like 93 points and just missed the playoffs. I believe it was by one or two points. I thought last year they would take the next step and make it, but they regressed. This year seems like an extension of last year. -

I think both McDermott and Beane are here for a while. IMHO. Just guessing but I think Terry likes the stability both men bring to the Bills FO as opposed to the clown show going on over at Sabre land.
