  1. She's my fav legal reporter but is limited to SCOTUS. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/author/mcoyle Who do you think is good?
  2. cognitive dissonance? denial? magical thinking?
  3. https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/14/europe/russia-lgbtq-rights-gender-reassignment-surgery-intl/index.html Remarkable how closely MAGA's and the Russians agree on this issue.
  4. No doubt someone her saw the ole Tuck/Pence interview. Was he sweet and kind? https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4097948-tucker-carlson-aggressively-questions-pence-over-jan-6-2021/ Pence's backbone is straightening some tho: “I just think it was a tragic moment, without question,” Pence said. “But I have to tell you that seeing people assaulting law enforcement officers, smashing windows, breaking into the Capitol building, it infuriated me. And it’s very likely that the restraint that was shown by law enforcement officers saved lives that day.” Snowballs chance in Hell of the R nomination.
  5. Got to admit. He is a master at grifting. Hope he doesn't get to spend it and ends up in prison https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/trump-reveals-new-details-about-1-billion-in-earnings-in-revised-filing/ar-AA1dOOeU
  6. great idea. 12 day cruise. reserved dining room table with 4 other couples including the banker. would have been a blast...and I'd probably be divorced. Are you married? Good luck with that.
  7. I get it. to each his own. I love Virginia, rednecks, MAGA's and all. We all find our place. The beauty is overpowering. No where else I'd rather be. Another story and tune out if you're not interested: Our recent cruise was with a group from our area. The first nite at dinner , a local banker who I'd never met said "I know you're a liberal but I'm a conservative Republican". I said "cool, let's not talk politics" and we didn't. And we got along great. He and his wife told us lots of interesting stuff. They were interested in our nonpolitical stories as well.
  8. Very cool, dude! I will add that if it sounds decent, I wouldn't put much money into the audio. It's almost certainly mono if it is truly from the 1950's.
  9. Here's the piece she was going to sell for $100. https://www.analogplanet.com/content/modernized-rca-1963 Hers is not "modernized". still it has 8 speakers built in and tubes! This was the best of the best in 1963. I gave her about 50 albums. Simon and Garfunkel, Joan Armatrading, Joe Jackson, Louis Armstrong, Chick Corea, Chuck Mangione, Neil Young, George Benson etc. Several were bought on sale for around $3- price tags still in place. Fully expecting an invitation to her and her husband's house to listen! This is what she has. Wish I had just handed her $100...but friends are priceless. and I like my system.
  10. There's so much there, there. And they just ignore it or just don't care. I was unaware of many of these things (not this one).
  11. https://www.mediaite.com/uncategorized/cnns-kfile-debunks-rfk-jr-conspiracy-theory-that-manmade-chemicals-in-water-can-make-children-gay-or-transgender/ He's done on this side. Turn him over. Absolutely no chance at the D nomination.
  12. How bout 1 of these? https://www.walmart.com/ip/20000mAh-Car-Jump-Starter-Booster-Jumper-Box-Power-Bank-Battery-Charger-Portable/1652145275?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101089326&adid=222222222271652145275_146760234371_18287664403&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=620767315155&wl4=aud-1651068665426:pla-1742794024735&wl5=9008764&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=456415633&wl11=online&wl12=1652145275&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAjwwb6lBhBJEiwAbuVUSl5nVCgIAJuOZIwxrXR6LgPaf6foAwbb0m-cgdarkAMj8zPKDIvTCRoCAp4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I have a different brand but it has saved us many times.
  13. I'm all for it as long as pharmacists screen for contraindications like breast cancer, smokers over 35, previous history of blood clots, possibly migraine headaches, drug interactions etc. Also counsel them that they can be less effective while taking certain antibiotics. scroll to contraindications https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK430882/
  14. if I were to fire every patient that wore trump paraphernalia to my office or told me a rude political joke, I'd have had 1/2 a practice. one lady even bought me a trump hat. I actually still like her. She hilarious. it would have been unprofessional and counterproductive to refuse my services.
  15. No the records seal the deal. There are some really good ones.
  16. No patience needed. Looking forward to SUP yoga. They like me there. The yogi tonight was selling a beautiful old inherited tube console stereo-mid century modern, great reviews on the sound. It wasn't rotating properly and I rec'ed a repair man. She got it fixed and is going to get many of my old LP's tonight. I might get some extra help out there.
  17. I suppose it could be taken as sexist but I think he refers to he/she and not in a transexual way.
  18. tongue in cheek
  19. There's another gym that will do just fine😀
  20. One of last weeks reading was about the troubles of Jeremiah. People do sometimes see consequences for their beliefs. I don't think that should stop them from making them known (excluding rioting and trying to overturn elections)
  21. It's BYOBoard. If you want, I can pm you the details. They won't exclude you for your politics. Sad that we now segregate gyms based on tribes.
  22. nope. at the lake tonight. 6-730. hope to fall in less than 4X.
  23. for the second time, I did not trash businesses that stayed open. I did oppose some large nearby events when the ICU's were full and the pandemic was raging. This included a large music festival (community run, I know 2 people on the board that I also spoke to personally) that I love and will attend again this year.
  24. I'm pretty certain I'd rather have the woman writing the article I linked, running my class. but that's just me. nope. Never mentioned the gym. I commented on social distancing in general, on vax, on hospital vax mandates etc. We had one of the lowest vax rates in the country.
  25. I've commented on a few news pieces in local media, especially on Covid.. Not as brashly as here but not subdued.
