I want to see confidence this half. The run needs to be used to help Josh. As it stands, we look like we're using Josh to open up the running game.

This looks a lot like the offense he ran last year. The only thing is that people are starting to expect it.

I've liked McD's teams the last few years. I get others didn't, but I really liked what I saw But all the things I liked about those teams are lacking here. All of them.

tackling has been nowhere all year

No rhythm. Unrecognisable in almost every way. It's not the reason for the perforamnce, but we FEEL like a team with only two captains. Not enough players stepping up here

Plenty of time for improvement. Can't really get a lot worse. Lacking intelligence, confidence AND execution.

we'll be fine long-term. this one just came at us like a train. didn't see it coming. never really got our feet right after the game's first two possessions. they exposed us entirely. we'll adapt to that now. hopefully never being quite as weak in those areas. that trick play though. man oh man, what the ***** was that. miles davis used to say you don't know if a note is out of tune until you play the next one. feel a bit like that with this performance. it's how we react to it that will tell us who we are. everyone gets beaten at some point. if we learn and adapt, it might even make us stronger.

Ah well. Finito. Hopefully exposed a few things we can fix. Better to be exposed in this game than easier wins or later in the season Plenty of lessons to learn and clear things to work on.
