Im jealous of everyone here on this site who lives near the bills & get to watch them in the stadium.

Please be thankful for having that chance during the holidays!

I live in the desert Southwest & could only dream to be around our awesome fan base who all are bad a**.

Even when we agree & disagree, this team & fans have heart!

Lets get on a win streak & get scary come the playoffs!

    Much Love Buffalo!

I’m out in Los Angeles.  If you know of a good Bills bar anywhere around here let me know.  😆

No...you're commenting on something you have no knowledge about.  None of us do.  Just because McD doesn't call out players in front of the media doesn't mean he doesn't call them out or doesn't challenge them.  I don't recall Belichick ever calling any of his players out publicly.  Arians did comment on his thoughts about Brady one time last year.  I remember that presser.  But moreso you hear coaches talking in generalizations...for example, Arians saying his players play stupid football.  That's what McD did.  He said his players weren't physical at the point of attack and committed costly penalties.  It's not a matter of players feelings.  It's a matter of good, effective coaching and communication.

Again.. you are speculating about what Sean MAY be saying behind closed doors.  None of us know.  But what we do know is what he says in his pressers and besides saying next to nothing, he also contradicts himself.  For example, he said that the team wasn’t good at the point of attack yet he says that the Bills are a physical team.  They sure looked physical.  So physical that the stadium was empty by halftime.

You’re basing your point on something you have no knowledge about.  I am commenting on what I do know which is what McDIMWITT says to the media.  He sticks to his cuddling and PC commentary about his players.  He treats them like elementary school kids rather than professional athletes. Other coaches like Arians and Belichick DO call out players from time to time.  Hell I’ve heard Arians call out Brady last year.  All Brady did was win another ring afterwards.  Not comparing anyone else to Brady but you know what I mean.  God forbid one grown man sends a message to another grown man through the media.  How about a little pressure?  How about issuing a challenge for this team?  Everything must be discussed in the corners and shadows because the players feelings cannot be compromised.  Not for a second.

I hope you enjoy the Godfather reference.

For the record I like Sean McDermott as a head coach, however I am questioning whether he is the right coach moving forward.  He has served the team/organization well getting the team ready for primetime, but now that primetime has arrived, is he the right fit and can he get them over the hump to bring this team to the big dance?  Good teams head into the second half of the season and into the playoffs leaning on their running game.  The Bills have no running game and clearly Singletary and Moss are not the answer.  Those two are not scaring any defenses. McDermott being a Defensive Coordinator can see weaknesses in offenses, right?  He didn't see that these two RB's are average?

What are your thoughts on McDermott and do you think he can get this team to the SuperBowl?  Josh Allen enters his fifth season next year ... the window is open only for so long.

I heard Sean’s comment about McKenzie’s fumble.  He’s not the guy for this team.  That’s just my opinion.  He’s got a cavalier attitude about winning and his quotations book is wearing out from all the press conf cliches.  He should have them all memorized by now so he probably doesn’t have to buy a new edition anyway.

Bills fan forever and all of that still hits home.  It always will.

Still, this loss left me unusually discouraged and empty as a fan.  After 50 plus years on the rollercoaster,  I thought I had perfected the art of not getting too high after wins (or good seasons) and not getting too low after the tough ones.  But my oh my, how we are coming to know how expectations can be a bi***.  Surprisingly, this team appears to have no soul at the moment.  I had previously thought that was their ace in the hole.  If that soul, that "culture"  is real, or still in there somewhere, now would be a great time to show it.

After watching yesterday, my inner football fan just wanted to sit in a dark, smokey room and start writing country and western songs...  "And Then They Broke My F***ing Heart".  Has a nice twang to it.

It seems that all too much in recent weeks, this team has made me "want to shout", for all of the wrong reasons.  Appropriately, I guess, it comes down to proving it against the Pats.  Have some soul Buffalo Bills.  You are out of wake up calls.  Playoffs start now.  If you are real, show us.  Choose any cliche that feels right or makes us feel better.  We'll still be there next year, the year after etc...  but please remind us why sometime soon.

I could not care any less how.  Just win!  I don’t care who gets the credit.. just win!

I’ve said this before but I’ve never said it on this forum since I’m a Johnny come lately on here so I might as well ring in the new membership this way…

I don’t care who the coaches are.  I don’t care who the players are, where they practice, who the GM is, who the owner is.  I don’t care if they play on grass or if they play outdoors for another three decades.. just win!  When all the personnel is unrecognizable in years to come I will still be a Bills fan.

I don’t care about statistics, this of the year, that of the year, he made all pro, he didn’t make all pro.  That’s all great… winning playoff games is what counts for me.  Remembering a great play that was made in a big spot.  That’s what I love most.  The joy of beating another team when it really counts never gets old.  Bills 4 Life.. but I’m no deer in headlights cheerleader either.  I’m not going to be a mindless shill for this team.  If I feel that something is wrong I will call them out every single time.  If they win a big game??  I will be among the first people to cheer like a madman!!  That’s how I root for this team.  I don’t know any other way.

  6. After yesterday’s debacle, I still dawned my Bills hoodie this morning to walk the dog.  Looking at the few pieces of Bills memorabilia that I own still makes me smile ear to ear and I still have a few things that I want to add.  My children both have Bills t-shirts and sweatshirts, hats etc.. same thing with the Buffalo Sabres since I LOVE hockey!  (I like the Sabres, Bruins & Flyers) I currently live in LA but it doesn’t matter where you are rooting from.  I have lived in NYC and LA but I root for Buffalo sports.  It may make me angry sometimes but I can’t even imagine rooting for another football team if they play the Bills.  They had some amazing wins in the 80s and 90s.  I can never turn my back.

I remain cautiously optimistic.      Get your team healthy again.   Beat the Patriots twice.

Play your best football in the Playoffs.     This Bills team still has the weapons and capability to outscore any other team in the NFL when its first stringers are all healthy and playing well.

    Cześć! 🇵🇱

This team is poorly coached imo.  It is also searching for leadership and I’m not sure if the answer is on the current roster.  I hope it is.

The Bills are getting utterly roasted on Good Morning Football. On every segment. Just obliterated. GMF hosts have been big Bills boosters, even after the Jags debacle and they now feel jilted. Their crushing the Bills front office for wasting a 2nd round pick on Bashum when they have NO RB's, and building a team to beat the Chiefs only, and now the Bills look like playoff pretenders, and the team in the playoffs currently to NOT make the playoffs by seasons end. Brutal. and pretty accurate assessments. The Bills extremely weak schedule is also frequently being mentioned. It's on the Bills players to save face. NOT making the playoffs would be total catastrophe       .

The team is getting roasted on this forum as well.  I’ve been getting on McDermott a lot and I don’t apologize for that but the players are supposed to be professionals and have quite a bit of talent to boot.  Allen threw up some careless passes.  He also missed on a number of throws when he did have protection.  No receiver made a big play when it was really needed.  The ball may have been a little high or low… resulting in an automatic incompletion.  The OL is now a running joke as are the penalties.

The defense just took a break in the second half after the McKenzie debacle but it’s hard to point a finger at them for that.

Dissecting coach speak is a waste of time.  No coach in any professional league gives specifics.  They also don't single out and rip their players or admit the obvious.  Messaging is consistent and even.

Reading anything into it is asinine.

Some coaches do and some do not.  Sean does not.  It’s fine when the team is playing well and giving it a solid effort but it wears really thin when your team waves the white flag before halftime.  Did he even comment on McKenzies fumble?  That may have been the worst fumble of the season by any player in the entire league.  An untouched player fumbles on Sp Teams to sink the team before halftime.  Brutal.  I wonder what Steve Tasker would tell a guy like that.

My theory is this team isn't interested in a regular season game, they want playoffs

Players get this high of how intense a championship game is and thats all they want. Soon it becomes difficult to get up for a 1-8 team mid season.

Its why its so hard to stay at the top and come back after losing and go far in consecutive years

If that’s the case then fire the coaching staff right now because that is the most ridiculous assertion I’ve heard in some time.  Even if a team won multiple Super Bowls.. to pussyfoot around the NFL regular season (which is only 17 games) as an excuse for poor play?  We’re just above the regular season because we consider ourselves a playoff team hence, we’ve committed more penalties than any other team in the league so far.  Boy… I don’t even know what to think with this team anymore.

“We need to have a winner’s mentality”

“We can’t allow 286 yards on the ground”

”The penalties?  Yeah we can’t have that”

    “Need better fundamentals”

“Taking care of the ball.  Up front and on defense.”

”I believe that we are a physical football team”

Is this team coached at all? Everything I hear out of Sean’s mouth is “We need to be this, this and that.”  He also seems like he’s on Valium..  why does it seem like the fans care more than he does?  Shouldn’t it be the other way around?  Does anyone here think that this team will turn things around against the Saints on Thursday?  This team is searching for leaders both on the coaching staff and on the field.  I’m growing tired of the weary sleepy eyed post game reactions from Sean.

The Bills lead the league in penalties per game.

Plays are coming in late on offense and it's causing problems lining up and getting the snap off - see yesterday's false start where both Ford and Williams moved early because the clock was down to zero.

The weekly game plans reveal a staggering lack of respect for the opponent - they're trying to just do what they want without studying/accounting for the other teams' tendencies.

Allen has already given up on his line and is pressing every game.

There have been few consequences to negative plays like penalties and fumbles.

A decision was made to bring back the team's own free agents and continue to overpay veterans like Addison in an effort to show investment in the "process."

This is a talented team with an easy schedule in desperate need of detail-oriented coaching and it's obviously missing right now.

This year - granted we're only halfway through - has been a really, really bad look for McD.

They lead the entire league in penalties?  Stubborn play calling and defensive schemes that include the nickel packages mixed with zone defense no matter what?  Sean doesn’t care because he gets a paycheck no matter what.  He had no feel for the game whatsoever in going for that long field goal in bad weather yesterday.  And circling back to the penalties.. we lead the entire league thru week 11?  Will we lead the league thru week 17?  Something to root for I guess.

Jokes aside Sean has been brutal this season and the team is winning some games despite him.  That’s right I said it.

This is a passionless , PC CORRECT  team where no one is allowed to hold others accountable!  We will be told again, there are some plays we want back , and hey , 24 hour rule and it’s only one game!  Passion has been coached out of this team and under performing is just ignored!   Who cares if you lose because you MUST FORGET it in 24 hours and we have SO MANY MORE GAMES TO play!  Meanwhile Belicheck has a less talented , rookie lead team now ahead and in control of their own destiny !  Truly one if the worst coaching performances by a Bills team in quite a while. Another blow out loss to add to the list of those during mcds tenure. This is looking like poor talent evaluation in free agency , and lack of holding coordinators , assistant coaches responsible in a one dimensional offense and a very soft d against QUALITY  running teams.  I don’t see how anyone can still remain in denial that we will achieve our goals of home playoff games and A SB  appearance.  Josh continues to make critical mistakes unless he is playing with a lead. Herbert looks like the real deal while I am beginning to think Dabolls lack to help with any run support is resulting in Josh regressing as our record speaks to our true potential.  Time after time we see Josh take bad sacks while in possible fg position.  It’s was an embarrassment to give up 5 tds at home to THE ONE GUY WE ALL KNEW HAD TO BE CONTAINED , yet the Bills allow themselves once again to be the butt of jokes on a national stage!   Anyone really confident we beat the saints?  The pats look like a legit team as this team throws up losses to the Jags and a fairly one dimensional colts team at home!

But hey , it’s only one game, and don’t think about it longer than 24 hours!   One thing this team has mastered, clichés!   That’s one thing that is certain to last longer than 24 hours!  😉😊

Nailed it!  People have the nerve to compare this team to a team that had Jim Kelly, Andre Reed, Don Beebe, James Lofton, Thurman Thomas, Darryl Talley, Bruce Smith, Cornelius Bennett, Steve Tasker & Marv Levy.

    It’s hard not to laugh.

I heard nothing in the comments that even hints at a disagreement between him and Beane. Again, 3 if 4 years in the playoffs. We are 6-4. Are we that spoiled as a fanbase now where playoff contender and wildcard isn't good enough?

Well with an outlook like that I guess a deep run in the playoffs is not coming anytime soon.  Congratulations on completely missing the point.  Saying that this fanbase is spoiled is incomprehensible.

I paid to see that and sit in freezing rain while coach ignores Josh's vigorous pleas to go for it on 4th down and instead sends out the FG unit for an ill-fated and ill-conceived attempt. Yeah, the org did not reward its fans today. I booed McDermott hard for the first time.

(Brought back terrible memories of booing Marrone for punting in a similar situation years back...just gutless and uninspired.)

The tone of your post, unfortunately, is NOT the norm. I 100% agree that the team is NOT playing well, and that I don't see easy answers moving forward. I booed the hell out of McDermott's decision to kick that FG today, and I'm definitely pissed at how soft the team looks.

People can post anything they want, of course. No one gets to tell you how to be a fan. But so many indulge hyperbolic negativity and fatalism, and do so repeatedly, and for what? It's kind of lame.

Maybe it is lame.  I agree.  To post the same negativity over and over probably is lame.  However we are all fans and fans care.  No two people root for a team the exact same way.  I think that when it comes right down to it.. performances like today's are what lights a fire for ME.  The lack of effort, execution and sheer carelessness and bad coaching was simply inexcusable.  It was a ****show.  Some fans just turn the page while others say..  hey hey hold up a second, not so fast.. back up!  Why did this happen?  Who is responsible?  When and how will it be fixed?!  Right now no one knows what to expect from this team from week to week.  Not the fans, players, nor the coaching staff.

I have season tickets with my Sicilian mother (who taught me how to care too much about football), and therefore spend every home game at the stadium trying in vain to use humor and perspective to disrupt her old world fatalistic frustrations. In truth, it's exhausting.

Then I come here and see the same s#!t: people falling over themselves to be more right about how bad the team truly is and how lost the season is.

Is there some prize I'm unaware of for predicting their demise? I don't disagree that right now the Bills are playing bad football. But there are 7 games left and the Bills still control their destiny. What's fun about whining and declaring the end is near?

I don’t think that most of us are necessarily predicting their demise.  We just want this team to get back on track.  Today’s performance was just unacceptable all the way around.  I don’t think any Bills fan would disagree.  The penalties time and time again are on the coaching staff.

Ummm...he has made the playoffs 3 out of 4 years after two decades of hopelessness. How about we pump the brakes a bit.

You are absolutely right about that but have you seen this team play as of late?  They’re lost!  Two penalties on one play, a penalty every few minutes, a quarterback who doesn’t know how to reel himself in, an OL that takes plays off and apparently the defense does the same now.  Then you listen to Sean after the game and he says the team needs to have a winning mentality.  So I guess Sean hasn’t managed to get the message across just yet.🙄.  It’s just wearing thin at this point.  This team has a lot of talent but loses games to Jacksonville and then get’s absolutely embarrassed at home mind you.. to WORLD BEATERS named the Colts.

Sean needs to get his damn act together now.  Period.   Having a debacle of a performance will trigger that and it’s well deserved.  This fan base is pissed off and they should be because we deserve better!
