  1. So we got about 50-45 degrees for the game with rain moving in at around two.  We have to play like a pack of fugitives on the run from the very beginning!

No fooling around.  No stopping to smell the tulips.  No time to enjoy beef jerky at the gas station.  Just fill the tank and bail… as K-Billy’s Super Sounds of the 70s keep on trucking’.

    GO BILLS!!!

Other then the chiefs game…this game would be the best I feel about a win all year by far. I don’t care if it’s 7-6, just find a way to win the game. We absolutely need this thing. Quiet the noise of the Pats closing and find a way to overcome being shorthanded. Find a way to get that W and advance the season. 7-3 is so much better then 6-4. Find a way to win, please. Go Bills

I’m so tired of hearing about the Pats and how Jones is the second coming of Brady.  It’s damn near nauseating already.  I’m not buying that crap.  They have strung together some wins but I don’t see them doing any damage in the playoffs if they get that far.  It is the Bills that have the better QB and the better defense.  Are we supposed to be that impressed that the Pats shut out Atlanta?

What's funny is arguably the next closest thing to to the 2,000 in 14 games is Browns 1,863, with a 6.4 AVG. OJ was worse at 6.0 AVG in his 2000 yard year. In sum, If Jim Brown got the carries he would have had a better year, but it's similar to the White/Smith debate. Bruce got it partly because he played longer. In evaluating GOAT shouldn't that play a role? Just as it plays a role to get that high in fewer games?

One requires more top end production and one requires more endurance, consistency and ability to avoid injury. Both are different but equally important traits. As poster said, this like picking your favorite guitarist. I would never say either was better, just different.

Yep.  Agree on all counts.  Juice did have a better career yards per reception avg than Jim though.  10.6 to 9.5.  Over a yard is impressive.  In his 9 years as a Bill his avg per reception was 11.  Avg yards per carry is 5.2 to 4.7 in favor of Brown.  But as you said, it’s splitting hairs.

  4. Man.. Bruce Smith, Darryl Talley, Cornelius Bennett.  Good times.

Bruce is on a short list of the greatest defensive players ever.  LT, Butkus, Lott, Reggie, Rod Woodson, Chuck, Jones…

It’s interesting that whenever Smith and Bennett talk about who influenced them the most in the pros it was the guy that taught them and also never gave a damn about his own stats.  My favorite Bill on the D side of the ball:

    Darryl Talley

I remember he did a season on ESPN’s Sunday Countdown as an in-studio analyst.  Probably around 98 or so?   I thought he was pretty decent

Same.  His commentary wasn’t amazing but it certainly wasn’t bad by any means IMO.  As for Harbaugh.. Jim Kelly has more toughness in one toe than Jim does in his entire body.  Case closed.  And I agree with Kelly on Harbaugh being a crybaby.  Anyone who has seen him on the sidelines as a coach would agree.  The guy acts like an adolescent at best.  Couple that with him having a short temper?  What a combo.

  6. Switching gears ever so slightly but still on topic.  Are all rookie QBs just that bad as of late?  Insipid nothingness?  Check-Down Jones is doing fine but good grief the hype is over the top.  I don’t see anything dynamic about this kid so far.  The game last night was a perfect example of what he has been doing in 2021.  Bubble screen, 5 yard out, throwing it to the RB in the flat, 2 yard crossing patterns and people are jerking him off like he’s the newest member of the hall of fame. On the few times he was sacked last night, he did not even attempt a pass to keep a drive alive (10 yards or over).  Everything was thrown right around the line of scrimmage and the Patsies weren’t playing a juggernaut D.  Are they hiding something?  Anything?  Hoping to make the playoffs before they really open the playbook to page 2?  Maybe.. maybe not but it’s something to watch.  I can’t remember a more cuddled QB.

That was a hold? BS!  You call a hold on 3rd and 9 to GUARANTEE that the first down is not made.  Notice how garbage man Aikman made no comment on the replay clearing showing NO HOLD.  It's getting harder and harder to watch the NFL.

For the count: Four called penalties on the Falcons, one on the Pats.

You saw no hold in the replay?  He was holding the side of his jersey with both hands!  Lol.  I mean… whatever.
