  1. Id already be concerned if I was a Colts fan. Case Keenum just led the Bills backups down the field on your starting defense and your starting offense couldnt get a single first down.
  2. Sure hope handoffs on 3rd and goal from the 5 are not a regular part of the offense.
  3. It looks like the original poster saw this thread, because he posted this a couple hours ago: "I see that this thread has made the rounds to OTHER Bills boards. Look all I can tell you is this was legit. During cocktail hour. Early. Dude was not drunk that said this about Elam. And no it’s not Thad Brown."
  4. Because this isn't BuffaloBills.com, where only official news can be posted. This is a forum where we talk about news, rumors, sources, players that we will never sign, players that we will never draft, and more. If threads were restricted to only verified news then post activity would drop by 98% and it would be a very boring place. In my opinion the best way (and this is good advice for all forums, not just this one) to avoid topics you dont like is to ignore them and not post in them. .
  5. If I were to guess based on the very little we know, that would be my guess. I think Beane said Elam was the last first round grade they had on a player. Am I remembering that correctly? If so, then It would be understandable that they may have jumped on him. I’m not concerned with fan opinions but IF the Bills organization truly don’t think he’s ready to contribute, then that is obviously concerning.
  6. When did Sal get hired by the Bills? That’s news to me.
  7. Eh, I dont know about that. Reporters with that close access to the players hear things for sure. Sal Capaccaio has said on numerous occasions that he has information that he cant/wont release because he doesnt want to break his close ties tot he organizaiton.
  8. I've been been to all the Bills groups and this one (TBD) is by far the best. Buffalo Range is second - loose moderation is nice sometimes. The rest of them I dont even bother going to. Honestly you're going to get the news pretty fast right here on this forum.
  9. Yeah, but they're like the non-brand name soda. Just doesnt taste the same lol.
  10. Tough to trust random people on the internet but I found this story from a fan potentially concerning. The fan who wrote this has been a member of that Bills forum for 19 years, so I'm hoping he wouldn't just make this up. "One of the beat writers was at a wedding I was at this past weekend. Not gonna say who. He 'says' that word around camp is that Elam isn’t anywhere near where the Bills had hoped in terms of starting week one or contributing." (link) I know there have been reports that he has struggled at times, but I hadn't yet seen anything that indicates that the Bills are realizing that Elam is just not ready to contribute. Especially upsetting with reports than McDuffie has looked impressive in Chiefs camp.
  11. Oh come on, stick by your convictions a little. A tad bit of opposing opinions is all it takes for you to flop sides and remove a link?
  12. Those who have been to camp - Are the Bills running any type of modified Oklahoma drills such as this one that the Titans are running?
  13. You’re unintentionally misrepresenting what is happening. Credentialed reporters are not allowed to do certain things. Such as take videos, post formations, talk about plays, etc. They are barred from doing so. He has no choice. Good question. I advise people to take all reporters with a grain of salt. Cover 1 included. Outside of their segments with players, we have no idea if what they are telling us (as far as breakdowns) is true. We have no idea if they are reading formations correctly, coverages correctly, reads correctly, etc. Eric Wood said it’s impossible for even professional evaluators like PFF to judge plays - so how can Cover 1?
  14. More so he is jealous that he is not allowed by the Bills to match their content. Thad has an arm tied behind his back due to his credentials, so to speak. lol Goodness gracious.
  15. Im guessing the mod who moved this didn’t watch the video. It is certainly not a hype video.
  16. Apologies if this was posted prior.
  17. Maybe so, but he has been right far more than he has been wrong. And fans have hated him for it.
  18. Yes. Sad. I remember visiting camp during lunch in the mid 2000’s on a whim. No we need tickets.
  19. Agreed. Time has flown for me this off-season.
  20. Odd thread merging. The 2 threads could not be more dissimilar.
  21. We both simply keep regurgitating the same things. There is no point in continuing - One of us has to be the bigger person and stop the back and forth - that’ll be me. Cheers!
  22. No they don’t. They simply explain who the chief statistician is. By the way, it’s an outside company. Again, the NFL doesn’t compute the stats. An outside company (similar to PFF), that has a contract with the NFL does it. They also didn’t have sacks as an “official” (I still chuckle at that) statistic until fairly recently. It doesn’t make the statistic any less useful. Again, It’s an outside company and a mix of them. It used to be Sportsradar but now it’s Genius Sports (for data push). They’re contracted out. The next contract may be with PFF for all we know (then a lot of people will lose their mind). Zebra technologies does the Next Gen Stats. I think it used to be STATS Inc if I remember correctly. You have the right to have that stance. I’m not sure why you’re trying so hard to change my mind, but it’s not happening. I see Simmons as a DPOY candidate this year and a top 3 defensive player. That isn’t changing unless something changes on the field. Not a single piece of statistical evidence i’ve shown has been subjective. The tweets I posted were simply showing that i’m not alone in thinking Simmons is one of the top defensive players in the NFL. They were never meant to be evidence of anything more than there are others like me. I didn’t start this argument. You did. I didn’t quote myself and tell myself that I was wrong that he was 2nd best. That was you Outside of QB, they absolutely do. And they’ve proven it twice in a row. One of those times being in humiliating fashion. National pre-rankings mean nothing to me. There is always a Super Bowl favorite that does nothing. I understand that there are others like you who see the Bills roster as best in the NFL. I acknowledge that you’re not alone in that thought. Yes. There are NFL coaches and scouts and GM’s who have never played before either. Do you not trust Vince Lombardi or Bill Walsh because they never played professional football? You’re allowed to be wrong.
  23. Odd that a mismatch of data would trigger an error.
  24. Official statistic according to whom? Who decides what statistics are official? Even the NFL doesn’t compute their own statistics. They rely on companies such as Genius Sports and Zebra Technologies. Others use STATS inc and a few more. Journalists do not grade plays for PFF. Analysts and Senior Analysts do. Their analysts include former players, coaches and scouts. The fact that players can rank high in pass rush win rate and lower in sacks is exactly why you don’t measure an interior linemens utility by sacks. I never claimed CBS to be gospel. I simply used them as an example to show that it is not only I that think highly of Simmons to the extent that he is one of the best defensive players in all of football. Reading comprehension again. I wrote that I believe their ranking of him was low, but still shows how highly he is viewed. If you have ESPN + you can read it for yourself. It’s behind a paywall. No, not all said it. The rankings are an aggregate of the 50+. The point of the additional sources is to show that Simmons is thought about as one of the best defenders in all of football by many people - not just myself. I don’t engage in strawman fallacies.
  25. After sitting nearly everyone, i’ve come to the conclusion that the only way to go is via the club seats.
