I believe the Bills didn't want Worthy, saw who was picking after than and had a good idea who they were going to pick and realized the Chiefs were going to wind up with Worthy anyway so they traded and picked up a 3rd. Optics are awful for people who wanted worthy, but we obviously didn't want him. I dunno what else they could do, call around and ask everyone "hey we will trade out of the 1st and give you a sweetheart deal if you take Worthy?" I understand the frustration but you can't fixate on a single player when you don't know who the team wants.
For what it’s worth, I didn’t want Worthy either. I believe he plays much slower in pads than the 40 time shows.
But you just don’t trade with your nemesis. You don’t trade with the team that already took a HOF QB from you. You don’t trade with a team that has beaten you in the playoffs 3 of the past 4 years.
You don’t trade with a team you’re trying to catch!
I hate this so much. And all for a 3rd round pick?
We better hope and pray i’m right about Worthy and he doesn’t turn into Tyreek Hill 2.0. If that happens and we gave up Mahomes AND Hill 2.0 … oofta.

Our responsibility isn’t what KC does. We won’t draft players we don’t want so another team doesn’t.
Perhaps we should! KC’s front office moves have bested ours for years now.I trust their front office more than our own.

This is like the Klingons trading with the Romulans.

Analysts are just destroying this trade.
“Very very confusing move by the Bills”.
I may have lost my last shred of hope in this front office. The Chiefs have routinely bested us in roster building and playoff success and you TRADE WITH THEM?
If Worthy becomes the next Tyreek (I have my doubts), we will never live this down.

Three of my five remaining first round grades are corners.... it is still where the value is IMO.
What was your grading difference between who is left and Mitchell?
Should we have moved up in front of Philly, in your opinion?

If GB can host a draft, Buffalo can.

We are going to end up with the fast combine WR who isn’t as fast on an actual football field, aren’t we.

The Eagles maybe got the best defensive player in two consecutive drafts. Howie Roseman just gets it.
This.

Freaking Eagles.

It upsets me so very much that the Eagles constantly have great players falling to them.

Eagles are 100% taking the CB right

I kind of want Quinyon Mitchell. No clue how he is still on the board, Bet he goes to Philly in two picks.. Philly has to be ecstatic.
How does Philly constantly find themselves in these incredible positions.

I’m fearful that the Chiefs jump in front of us and take a WR.

By that leap of logic........the Bills second round pick is then like a 3rd round pick.
Could be.
Depends how many 2nd round grades there are. If there are 30+ second round grades, then it would still be a 2nd round pick. -

Disagree. You talk about him like he wasn't actually a good college football player.
He was a freshman breakout and posted three years of good production at Texas.
But honestly...I don't want to spend the second best day of the football year arguing about any prospects. I've done enough of that the past few months. Today is a day for joy and pizza and booing Roger Goodell.
We'll stick with "agree to disagree" on Worthy, and we can check back in with each other as his NFL career goes along.
I have to agree with Alpha here. If you watch Worthy's highlights, he isn't really separating from the CB very much. It's not like Tyreek Hill where he just blazes past guys.- 1

I agree about the second, not the first. He said it his presser - it's no fun sitting in on the first night of the draft with no pick. My own rule is that major trade ups in the first round are prudent only for a QB - no other position is worth the draft capital it costs.
Chris Trappaso (CBS) made a good point on WGR last night. When you're picking 28th and lower every year, a 1st round pick is really a 2nd round pick. In most draft years, there are only about 20-25 first round graded players.
So if you're a team like the Bills, who is consistently picking late 20's in the first round, trading a 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick is similar to trading 2 second round picks.- 2
