  1. No he didn’t. He went straight through the 4 hole. But even in an alternate universe where he bounced it out, the fact that he couldn’t make one edge contain miss is also a massive problem of his.
  2. Posted this in the game day thread as well, but Cook already has me excited for this season. His vision to bounce runs outside is something we have missed for many years when Singletary was the running back. I have no doubt that Singletary plows into the line rather than bouncing it outside for the TD on this play: Here is what Singletary frustratingly has done all too often:

  4. It is unbridled optimism based on nothing other than hope.
  5. Of course Minneapolis has culture. You see it in the art - bold and unpretentious. Museums like the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Walker Art Center. Music, theater, dance. It's there in the streets, in the festivals, in the food. People live it. It's real, simple, and true. No frills, just the essence of the place. Why? That certainly removes Jacksonville from the list.
  6. You’re likely correct in that assertion, however I think they are making a mistake. I think it would be fun to have the game in all different atmospheres, cultures, etc.
  7. You just described Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey. It snowed half a foot the day after the game.
  8. Your exact words were: “If the bills squib kicked in that playoff game (the Chiefs are) falling on it and stopping the clock without a doubt” No mention of scenarios where they would or wouldn’t have downed it. “without a doubt”, they would have downed it. That’s what you said. But I don’t want my opinion on this to be seen as crusading, so i’m stopping here. Good night! .
  9. The discussion wasn’t where they would run it to or how many plays until field goal range. The discussion was wether they would have immediately downed the ball. The goals posts are swaying strong tonight.
  10. Chaos (perhaps inadvertently) started it. Until we win a Super Bowl, I doubt 13 seconds ever goes away.
  11. He said anything less than a squib caught at the 40, they were going to return. So… yeah, they were returning it. The 40 was their goal line. But sure, keep moving the goal posts in an attempt to save what’s left of your dignity after going off about forgetting more than i’ve ever known about football. I let you do it just long enough while holding the Chiefs own ST’s coach card in my pocket. So far we have: Bills coach disagrees with you. Former NFL players disagree with you. Chiefs coach disagrees with you. But you’ve coached high school football! How dare they? Thanks for the laughs. I’m going to bed. Goodnight
  12. You took a mighty hard loss here tonight. A better man admits it and moves on. Sigh. McDermott disagrees with you. He’s an NFL coach ya know…
  13. Do you care what the Chiefs Special Teams coordinator says? Considering, ya know, it’s HIS special teams. Because he said they planned to advance it, likely taking 4 seconds off the clock. We are not talking about the rule. Of course a team *can* do that. But the Chiefs would not have done that. They would have advanced it. Burning clock. Which is why McDermott squib kicked it the next opportunity he had.
  14. Sorry but appeal-to-authority fallacies don’t work with me. There is no proof that the Chiefs would have fell on it. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. The only evidence we have is: 1) When given the opportunity, the Chiefs did NOT fall on it. They ran with it. 2) The Bills fired/let Farwell leave for a lateral position. 3) The next opportunity they had, the Bills squib kicked it. All evidence points to my being correct. Despite your incredible acumen as high-school or community college football coach.
  15. You can pretend that you know it to be true. But you don’t actually know that. You’re guessing. To act as if their design to win changes because the game is in October vs January requires some proof.
  16. In the rematch… 16 seconds left on the clock… Bills squib kicked it. Took 4 seconds off the clock.
  17. The NFL found a way to make it work for Jacksonville. They could find a way to make it work for Buffalo too - if they wanted to. Will they? No. Especially not without a downtown stadium.
  18. A better comparison may be Jacksonville. They hosted a Super Bowl and is very comparable to Buffalo in size. Jacksonville even had to bring in cruise ships to add more hotel rooms.
  19. Saying that is acceptable. But saying the Bills gave up more points in those games, on average, is not acceptable?
  20. And there are not multiple variables in your 4-0 comment? You’re flailing.
  21. You noted that the team was 4-0 with Dodson, indicating that you believe his performance contributed to that record. Then why I posted the stats from those wins, suddenly the MLB is not part of the defensive performance? Uhm…
  22. You’re making a great point for why Klein should start.
  23. In your opinion it is a bad opinion. Do you see the problem? It’s a circular argument.
  24. But some perspective. Our defense averages 16.7 ppg last season when Dodson did not start. Dodson started against Goff and gave up 25. Dodson started against Brissett and gave up 23. The only game our defense (with Dodson) didn’t do worse than our average was against Pittsburgh with them starting their rookie QB for the first time ever.
  25. Agreed. We better hope our DL is strong enough to not allow many runners to reach the second level.
