  1. Guess we can actually add that to the automobile deaths... since those are accidents/deaths caused by deer.
  2. 100% accurate. These are total deaths (all ages) by something other than things like "falling" (which claims the lives of 32,000 Americans per year).
  3. Show me any example where a school closed because of "fear of the AR-15". I've asked COUNTLESS kids the question, "Do you ever worry someone might come into the school and shoot?" I've NEVER got a yes. Ever. Now my youngest said she was worried about a guy, who ended up getting kicked out of school, about 4 years ago at her HS. But no kid has ever told me they are scared of a school shooter. Would be like asking us if we were worried the Russians and nukes after we did a nuclear bomb drill. Or if we are scared of a tornado. (WAY more likely to die in a tornado hitting our school than someone coming in and shooting it up)
  4. So, it's not the number of people killed... it's also people being "traumatized" by AR-15's? Hold on a second... Okay... I didn't know schools closed this week because they are "scared of the AR-15". You sure schools (whatever schools you're talking about, no idea) aren't scared of a someone with any gun? Just the AR-15. Right?
  5. Drugs: 109,000 Alcohol: 104,000 Automobile: 37,500 Handguns: 63,00 Blunt Objects: 1,600 Knives: 1,500 Boats: 660 Fists/Hands: 600 Airplanes: 380 AR-15/All Rifles: 360 Shotguns: 200 Deer: 120 Dogs: 60 Ban the AR-15. Save lives.
  6. Goodfella's! “You still have a lot of time to make yourself be what you want. There’s still lots of good in the world. Tell Dally. I don’t think he knows.”
  7. I live in Southern Oklahoma, on 30 acres. There are no "shooting clubs" in my hometown and two ranges... one is just an open range that has no hours other than sun up to sunset, no range officers. It's just a berm with a bench 100 yards away. The other is our local junior college and they have it because of their gunsmithing program (one of the best in the country). Most people shoot outside their homes or at a friends/neighbors. Don't go to ranges. Yep! I actually have my own range set up next to my house.
  8. How would you suggest the government and LEO goes about rounding up the 20,000,000+ AR's in America?
  9. Wait, firearms are #2 now? It's astounding the obsession you people have for Trump.
  10. Way past due... You don't care about the lives of so many children. Children who take their lives due to the pressures and influence of social media and the internet as a whole. If you cared about children's lives, you'd throw your phone and computer away. Start protesting the ban of the internet and especially social media.
  11. I love your "Straw Man Fallacy" you continue to throw out there.
  12. "It's A Dangerous Thing To Confuse Children With Angels."
  13. Gender dysphoria (transgender) is in the DSM-5 as a legit mental illness. Suicide rate is high without surgery, but it's significantly worse for those who do complete that "change". "Ten to 15 years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex-reassignment surgery rose to 20 times that of comparable peers." https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0016885 Yep! Even thought I don't live in NYS, they practically banned "assault weapons" by telling people they had one year to register, turn them in or destroy them. You're a criminal if you owned one and just let it sit in your safe for 12 months and 1 day, not doing anything.
  14. CNN and MSNBC as well as the Young Turks, they talk about the evils of the AR-15 (which probably account for 200 deaths a year in reality). That's where BS gets his information on firearms and information about the AR-15. Cenk Uygur doesn't like the AR-15, unless you're transgender (he actually said that... no one should own one unless they are a tranny), so BS is going with what Cenk and Rachel Maddow says.
  15. Never said that BS. You can keep saying that and trying to piece together my posts, but I never said that. Keep trying though. It's not difficult to answer a simple question: Why do you want to go after the AR-15 or the AR platform (includes several rifle calibers) when a handgun accounts for 16 times the number of murders?
  16. That's the thing, one reason I have my firearms to protect my family. You still have not explained why you continue to single out ONE firearm platform and ignore the others? The least used type, but you see it being scary and you want to get rid of it.
  17. I still don't understand why you want to go after the one weapon platform that accounts for a fraction of gun deaths per year. 400 or less. Out of 10,500.
  18. Any time someone hires a new LEO that's "MORE F'N GUNS!"? I'd say yes. We have to report someone under those circumstances along with someone hurting them. People often don't seek out counseling or help due to the fact we must report (mandatory reporter) as a health professional.
  19. I'd venture out to say yes, or around that age. Here's one: https://abc3340.com/news/local/child-dead-man-hospitalized-in-morgan-county-stabbing-hartseelle-village-drive-knife-violence
  20. I saw a study where there has been no school shootings during school hours where A) Armed staff members and B) That information is provided in the front of the school on a sign. Honestly can't find it now but I'll keep looking.
  21. Where did I said that in my response? I posted a link to the ACLU and their quote.
  22. No. I'm in support of the "idea" but worry about how it can be used/abused. Even the ACLU is against it... which is saying a lot. Here is what they said: "People who are not alleged to have committed a crime should not be subject to severe deprivations of liberty interests...in the absence of a clear, compelling and immediate showing of need. As well-intentioned as this legislation is, its breadth and its lenient standards for both applying for and granting an ERPO are cause for great concern." https://www.riaclu.org/en/news/aclu-rhode-island-raises-red-flags-over-red-flag-gun-legislation
  23. I was saying, I assumed the laws/rules/policies that are in one state won't apply to another. Now if it's a criminal case, like Domestic Violence, then it would carry over and be accessible to the FBI database.
  24. I would (assume) think that if someone loses a right in a state (NYS) due to that state having a certain law and moves to a state (Tenn) that doesn't have those laws... I would believe that they could buy a firearm. Now if someone couldn't own a gun in NYS for DV or some other offense, it would carry over to every state via the NICS check.
