Milano can forget about the run defense. Play safety. And rush 4 every time. A blitz can equal a TD at any given time.

Ok, both scripted drives out of the way, let’s see who was ready for the rest of the game. Will Dorsey stick with the run even if we don’t get 6 on every attempt? Will Josh stay composed? Those two things decide it in my opinion.

In fairness, Poyer has looked like he’s running through quicksand at times this season. I don’t think the drop off in speed will be noticeable (ie, Tyreek would blow past either of them if we don’t bump him - or tackle him - off the line). This game will be won/lost by the Dline and LBs and how much pressure they can get on Tua. There will be at least one or two huge pass plays by Miami; that can’t be stopped completely. But a few shots to Tua could really get in his (mushy) head.

That game is a pretty perfect microcosm of life as a Bills fan.

Is my apathy for this game because it’s the NFC or is it actually as boring as it seems?

As a west coaster now, the 1pm games (which were always my favorite) are now 10am games which still feels odd even though this is my second season out here. Outside of moving to where we planned to live for the last 15 years, buying a house, blah blah, the biggest benefit to the west coast is that MNF/TNF are done by 8:30pm.

I’m saddened knowing I will never feel this level of optimism towards the Bills. I’m honestly jealous of your outlook. We could be up 11 with a minute left and the ball and I’m doing the math on the other team’s timeouts and assume they get the ball back, TD and 2pt, successful onside for last second FG to send us to another heartbreaking OT loss. And you have faith we’ll shutout a team that just put up 70. I need to be more like you; would probably make this hobby more enjoyable.

This game screams over except that the Bills defense is excellent and nearly elite (when Von gets back, holy *****.) If Bernard is 75% the player he was last week, Matt Milano might be our second best LB. And that would be terrifying thought if you’re a QB whose brain is being held together with a piece of bubble gum and a binder clip.

Every time I hear the name Tyler Boyd it brings back that awesome memory of NYE 2017.
