Abbott Road is not closed despite what you might have heard on the radio traffic reports. I got these reports changed. I don't know who issued these false press/traffic reports but I am working on finding out who is involved. There might be a lawsuit involved.
Abbott Road is only closed in front on the stadium. Big Tree Road (20a) to Abbott Road is the way to Lead the Charge to HAMMER'S LOT.
I think Disney style parking is mandated by the NFL. What I don't understand is why, with only 2 years left on the stadium lease that the Bills are screwing around with the traffic patterns. Is post game traffic really going to be faster? Will fans arrive home a 1/2 -1 hour sooner? How come there are no traffic maps in the Bills Gameday book? Remember the Bills have study this traffic issue for years
With the new traffic control patterns, for the opener, I highly recommend arriving early (8-9 am).
I also included a story about Abbott Road on my post not just the TBD parking special. I have also, on my own dime, had signs made which said Two Bills Drive. com. They were placed in the front window of a sports store which I think help spread the word about TBD. I have also in the past either waived or reduce the fee for the area used for the TBD Tailgate.
Preseason special for Lions Vs Bills Game tonight. There are message boards around the stadium (controlled by the Bills?) that say Abbott Rd is closed. It's not true. Abbott Rd is blocked in front of the stadium, not closed. We, the residents on Abbott Rd, have tried to get the wording changed. The Bills will not change the misleading wording on the message board. Our town supervisior has not helped us at all.
Time to contact the media.
I heard reports of the Thruway instant message boards stating that Abbott Rd was closed to traffic. Help me out. Did anyone else see this message? Erie County put up a ROAD CLOSED sign at Abbott and Big Tree (In front of the Big Tree Inn) which is not what was advertised. We the locals) had the barrier removed but 97rock continued to report that Abbott Rd was closed between Southwestern and Big Tree, for hours after the barrier was removed. Monday, after contacting the Town of Orchard Park supervisior, we were told that the barrier was put up by "Human Error"! Human error right. I also heard that the EC deputies are also not very happy with the Bills new traffic control setup.
Please make a easy to see Two Bills Drive sign, show it when you pull in so that I can take care of your special parking needs, End of the row, or near exit, or tailgate berm, or next to restrooms, or next to Pinto Kenny!!
Thank You
Right. The problem with the practice field was poor drainage. Over time the dirt base, compacted, resulting in poor drainage even with piping under the dirt base. When the field was upgraded, out with the dirt and in with a sand base which should increase drainage making the field drain quicker after a heavy rain. Instead of days drying, the field will be ready to use in hours if not sooner.
Once again Hammer's Lot is Proud to have the fine group of Two Bills Drive posters gather, face to face, and talk football, eat, drink, and enjoy each other's company.
