  1. I'm getting to the point where I'm as worried the Bills have got a loud mouth announcer to who they actually pick. And the we also get a video of the Texans drafted TE massaging a bull...
  2. The cost of trade ups is very high. Arguably too high. I wonder if Beane saw this coming when trading down from 32 to 33. Mind you, don't think it would have made a difference on who they chose.
  3. Can see why the Bills haven't traded up on that basis. Actually, the cost of trades has been high since Thursday - I felt the Vikings gave up too much to move up.
  4. Diggs still had it in him to turn up and be a #1 WR. The Bills have got no one on the roster to take on that role. Samuel for Davis? Fine, I'm ok with that. It's the number one where I think they're lacking.
  5. @SDS I can post the draft threads if no one else wants to do it.
  6. Just wait until we get to 128 and hear that the Bills have traded back.
  7. That could be it. At this stage, there's nothing to say Beane isn't trying to trade up but is finding it difficult to do so.
  8. Was just thinking the first British representation was... him?
  9. Chuck in our additional second from next year and they could get someone decent. Would be similar to the Diggs deal.
  10. Yeah, but at least two of them will be used on defensive players...
  11. Think I'd prefer to use the 5th rounders on a veteran WR than someone from the draft.
  12. GunnerBill would have to control the response, though. Can just imagine if the chance was to announce Coleman... "With the 33rd pick, the Buffalo Bills chose Keon Coleman, WR... What?! Why?!" 😁
  13. I'll name positions to keep vague but another WR to replace Shorter on the depth chart. After June 1st we may be able to used one of 2025 second and fifth round additional picks for a veteran at #1. Veteran, Samuel, Shakir, Coleman plus late pick and I'll be happier about the WR room.
  14. I think Beane said at one point that Josh has an input but doesn't watch as much tape or go through the process to the extent the scouts do etc. At most, I assume the Bills have a handful of offensive players who they'd be happy to draft and ask Josh's opinion on each. He apparently pushed for Kincaid last year so let's hope this is a repeat.
  15. It is interesting that Coleman was drafted off the back of Josh's wishes and Bishop from the pushing by Kincaid. Back office putting a lot of emphasis on player desire considering it's getting to the point where the spotlight is starting to glare at Beane and McDermott.
  16. Promising may have been a better word. I like him, Kincaid, Cook... I'm even coming round to Coleman. Samuel is just about an acceptable number two. But there's a real need to replace Diggs and that meant making a play, either to try and draft one of the big three or going for a veteran. I was hopeful heading into tonight that the Bills might be able to use the additional round two picks this year and next, plus maybe a fifth, to make move. Strike out and take a risk to get someone in who can make a mark. Perhaps that's why I'm so peeved now and maybe I'm being unreasonable.
  17. When you're saying Shorter has to be an option on offense - that's the issue. And I think you're over-egging the pudding about the targets. Kincaid and Shakir are very good but still learning, as is Cook. Coleman is unproven. Samuel is decent. None of them are elite, at least yet. The Bills have gone backwards, and will be expecting even more from Josh to be successful as it stands.
  18. Yeah, he mentions Kincaid had spoken to him about Bishop in the video the Bills posted on X.
  19. But what did you expect from this draft? As I said above, it's a case of quantity over quality when it comes to WR. Once the big three had gone there was a lot of muchness but little difference. My personal wish would be to use stockpiled picks to try and trade for a veteran - I don't thinking picking anyone yesterday, today or tomorrow from the Bills position would move the dial that much.
  20. The WR room in this draft had quantity but not much quality outside of the big three. The Bills were never getting a starter once they had gone, let alone a #1.
  21. Or is Hicks another Franklin, and there's something in the background putting teams off.
  22. Posted on X post draft, though Beane said pre-draft they would be speaking to Josh about who he likes.
