  1. That's an awful call. Dreadful.
  2. There were two huge calls which, had they gone the Bills way, could have led to a more comfortable afternoon - the Knox 'catch' in the end zone and the non-penalty on the Beasley interception.
  3. In fairness, you're comparing Daboll as a head coach with experience as an OC against Dorsey in his rookie year as an OC. There would be something wrong if Daboll wasn't ahead of Dorsey.
  4. I'll catch up on the result of that tomorrow - I need to keep my remaining annual leave in reserve in case the Bills play in primetime.
  5. This is going into OT, isn't it? Hope not - I need sleep!
  6. I don't mind deep shots now and again in those circumstances, but not consistently. Especially when they're not connecting.
  7. That was the second drive of the game. Not late in the fourth with a narrow lead and a shattered defense.
  8. I can't remember so many deep balls whilst holding a narrow lead late in the fourth under Daboll.
  9. I would like to switch Dorsey with someone else - Reich? - during the post season. It's not a criticism of Dorsey as such but, as someone has just said, I believe he and Josh are too similar in personality and it's resulting in too many risky big plays. The Bills need someone to calm Josh down and tell him to take what's on offer at times. Not wind him up and let him go long over and over again. The two series near the end of fourth were bad considering the circumstances. The weird thing is before the bye the offense seemed far more balanced. Not sure what's happened since then.
  10. Maybe we should fire Josh instead? Should get a few first rounders for him at the moment, despite his deficiencies. (To confirm, I'm being sarcastic)
  11. They didn't turn up for much of today. The Bills gifted them the majority of their opportunities.
  12. Not went up by three, late in the fourth quarter. Take short passes and runs, bring the defense up, and then play it long. If the Bills are chasing the game, then yes. Circumstances didn't ask for it today.
  13. I said in the pre-game thread, just before the game started, that I was nervous as it wouldn't be as easy as many expect. I think a couple of people rolled their eyes at me!
  14. Josh made some fantastic plays today. Do we have to accept the mind-numbing plays because, when they come off, they look so brilliant and do us so much good? Is there any way we can have a fairer balance? In my mind, yes, because it felt like that's what we were doing pre-bye. I'm not sure why we abandoned it and not returning to it.
  15. I'm not sure I'll be able to cope with three more games like that! But if it means the Bills win the Super Bowl, I'll suck it up.
  16. I would agree with you, if it weren't for the deep shots late in the fourth quarter. No logic, not necessarily and put unneeded pressure back on the defense.
  17. Perhaps a degree of arrogance again; thinking we could handle Thompson so allow the defense to pick up plays which we'll be using in future week/s?
  18. The Vikings fluked their way out of a soft division with a lot of last gasp plays. They were found out in certain matches during the regular season and, so far, are being found out again now. But, as we've seen this weekend, a long way to go yet.
  19. Josh may have been the biggest problem today though I don't blame him for the interceptions. The ridiculous deep ball plays, maybe, depending on the play calls and designs at any given moment. Overall, the reason he's the biggest problem is we're so reliant on him. Look at Purdy; as well as he's playing he doesn't need to do much to get the 49ers ticking. In comparison, there is a lot more weight on Josh's shoulders.
  20. You think if the Bills play like we did today we'd be able to keep up with the Bengals? I guess if they fall apart as well...
  21. There's time and place. The third from last and second last offensive series in the fourth quarter was not the time to throw deep balls. Even if Dorsey was calling for it, Josh should have been asking him if he had lost his mind. Indeed, after the first deep shot, Dorsey should have been telling Josh to cut it out. Protect the ball, dink and dunk, utilise the run game.
  22. Sky Sports on the game: It was like a really good rollercoaster. You had moments of excitement, moments of feeling sick but you get off and think "Wow, that was an excellent experience". Safe to say the presenter is not a Bills or Dolphins fan! 😁 Though I'm not sure who he supports.
  23. IF we played like that, of course not. But if he was there I think things would have ended up differently in terms of Bills play calling etc. I do fear there was a degree of arrogance in some plays because it was 'only' Thompson on the other side. No risk of that if Burrow or Lawrence is on the opposite touchline next week.
  24. I think Dorsey might work well with a conservative QB - bring them out of their shell, give them confidence, push them to challenge themselves further. He does not work well with an aggressive QB who doesn't need to be told any of that. Before, Daboll was around to counter the calls and manage the situation. Without him it's too much. But what I want to know is what happened at the bye. Before, the Bills were playing a lovely balanced offense for the most part. It hasn't looked the same since.
  25. He's had a lot of warnings about time and place already. Saying that, his turnovers don't bother me as much today - well, the interceptions anyway. I don't think they're purely on him. But those play calls in the fourth quarter, with throwing deep, throwing deep, throwing deep. Just... please, stop it.
