I think this team has figure out how to win, even if it's ugly. The offense has been sporadic at times, but compared to years past it has been more consistent overall. I think people get frustrated we don't have the big plays like we have seen. It honestly feels more like the Brady lead Pats teams. Very steady and tricky in that you feel like they aren't doing much but they are putting up substantial yards and consistent points.

Defense is very similar too. Feels like teams move on them at will but the number say otherwise. Not playing a high powered Bengals offense helped them with the final stats though.

I hope they get to the next gear for the playoffs if, for nothing else, my heart health.

The Brady/Pats teams are a good comparison. You never seemed to think they were unbeatable and it looked a bit clunky at times but when it needed to get done it got done.

People seem to forget that even with all the injuries, issues, setbacks this team is still 13-3 and its 3 losses have come from a combined 8(!) points.

I bet if Peterman even plays halfway decent (240 yards, 1 td, 1 int) he'll solidify another 2 years in the nfl

It's the Charlie Whitehurst plan. Mostly suck, but play well enough to stick around in the NFL holding a clipboard for 10-12 years. Walk away with little wear and tear on the body and a decent $15-20m in your bank account for your troubles.

There used to be a girl who did this stuff a while back. Guess I dont have a real pint here. It just reminded me of it. She looked like Reese Witherspoon lol.

Bills girl! I met her at a bills game at MetLife in…2019? I think. She’s from the NYC area and super nice.

That's just brutal.  But I gotta says the Bills played their best game ever in like zero degrees.  But the wind changes a lot.

We’re almost a week out. I think any forecasts are highly subjective atm. Our game against MIA was supposed to be a snowy mess and it was pretty subdued until the last 6 minutes.

  5. This was 100% the right play call to go down, burn the clock and kick a chip shot field goal with a kicker who is practically automatic. You’re not playing the other team you’re playing the clock and playing keep away. A win is a win, doesn’t matter if it’s by 1 or 100.

I’ve watched the ***** Pats do this kind of ***** for decades and just grind out gritty wins and I’m glad we’re doing it as well. No one cares about style points. Just win baby.

I look at Colt McCoy's career and see a successful model.  In the league since 2010.  He's outlasted everyone else picked in the 3rd round of the draft.

He could have had a similar career.  There are worse things in life than making millions being a backup quarterback with real shots at starting fame and glory.

Life's lesson is stay out of your own way.

That maybe works if your mindset is "get to a good spot and just ride out a good life, being happy and thankful for what you have"

Most NFL players aren't wired like that. It's a hyper competitive sport that attracts hyper competitive people. They want to be the best, the guy, number 1. Anything less is failure.

Yeah.  Yesterday, the Bills' front six played like they could smell fresh meat.  They got a good taste of it, and I'm guessing that it will continue.  I wouldn't be surprised if those guys feel a responsibility to Von to do what he was going to do for the Bills this year.

I was surprised how much the Bills blitzed yesterday.    They will come Saturday night with blitz packages for Tua, and other tactics, and I expect they're going to make his life miserable.   Still, it isn't going to be easy.

The Jets have had to shuffle the o-line a lot this season so this was a game where the d-line and our front 7 would and did shine. Mike White is pretty good under pressure (at least with the small sample size of the last 2 games) but if you bring a constant wave of blitzes, stunts against a patchy o-line your guys should be getting home and they did.

The Dolphin's line is better, so I'm not completely convinced the same strategy will work. Tua gets the ball out fast and processes the field pretty quickly. I'm thinking a rush 3/drop 8 strategy to cover the field and force them to run the ball, with some well timed blitzes and stunts and opportune moments. Their running game takes a serious hit with Wilson Jr being carted off yesterday with a hip injury so forcing them to lean on that and neutralizing their passing game feels like the right strategy. Tua only threw 28 passes yesterday and only completed 10, their running game was putrid as well once Wilson left.

Basically it sounds like they concluded the girl is full of crap and that Araiza didn't do anything wrong.

Nah more likely is the DA or prosecutor looked at all the available evidence, determined that it a lot of it was circumstantial, would not stand up to scrutiny in a legal setting and/or would get tossed on technicalities by the defense making the body of the case incredibly flimsy. DAs do NOT like bringing stuff to trial they aren't almost damn sure they are going to win, those people get elected because they deliver and their conviction rate is directly tied to their changes at being re-elected. No DA likes getting roasted for having a crappy conviction rate and seemingly wasting taxpayer dollars.

i have a solid amount of family there, and you'd be surprised how it can potentially be a wash.  if you're near the water, my understanding is flood insurance can kill you, and the HOA fees that are $800-$1000 plus make up for the taxes alone.

This. Everyone likes to harp about no income tax, which I'm sure is great if you make a massive salary but most people don't. You then also get nickel and dime'd on just about everything else, end up paying higher sales taxes (which are regressive, not progressive), higher property taxes and typically suffer with crappier government services and public education because those areas are underfunded.

Anyway, back to football talk. Squish the fish!

    Go Bills.

A lot of unrealistic expectations out there, where they expect each Bills player to win every snap or they instantly become ‘the worst’.

As if they are playing against a JV team.

The opposition also pays their players a lot of money to perform.

    It's also hilariously selective.

Just about any player except Allen or Diggs as a bad game - CUT HIS ASS, DRAFT HIS REPLACEMENT!

Josh Allen or Diggs has a bad game - Well, it can't be perfect all the time...

That guy has looked downright uncoverable the last two weeks with White throwing him the ball, granted the Bears and Vikings secondaries do leave something to be desired. Dude can play though. He put up good numbers against us as well when Zach Wilson was playing but our secondary was super banged up. I wonder if we play our standard zone scheme or if we mix it up and stick White on Wilson for most of the game to try and make his life miserable.

This isn't a matter of ***** chemistry.  This is a matter of getting it through your thick rookie RB head that you Can Not Lie to your QB that late in the play.

As Beasley once said, after I give Josh body language about how I'm going to run it, I need to run it that way even if I see something else during the play.

breeding that kind of instinct and intuition takes time. I don’t disagree with your point, but in Cook’s defense he’s a rookie.
