Nah man, it's not even close really imo.

I mean even taking into consideration Jets are division rival that Z. Wilson leading at QB managed to win that game as close as it was, there wasn't any definitive moment where it was clear inept coaching that played a big factor in that loss.

Now I can honestly say what was witnessed against Denver is something I can't recall ever seeing before. To be more clear, I'm not talking about just the 12 on the field, that's not what I'm referring to. It's the moment in the game when and how it happened in that type of scenario. Making it worse is Denver already did the same thing before the half and knew it was coming again

I mean ffs why do you even sub in the block unit on a mayday field goal. The chance of you blocking it is MAYBE 2-3%.

Brady clearly needs to get the offense to perform better. Everyone can see the offense has major issues. Scoring 7 points for 55 minutes is not good, which we have done for multiple games. Getting outschemed or outplayed by bad teams is not good. Having massive execution issues is not good. They have virtually no injuries outside of Knox.

If your opinion is that this is the third best offense in football, which is what DVOA says, I 100% disagree. If you say maybe that’s a little overrated, then you agree that stat is not correct and we are just haggling.

We have a top 5 QB and a top 5 WR, in year 6 of the same offensive system. Rookie mistakes should still not be happening.

And yes, that includes the players. You can’t fire every player. You fire the guy who coaches them if they all continue to play badly.

What I LOVE is folks who point to EPA/play and DVOA and ALSO say that the players sucking isn’t Dorsey’s fault. If the numbers are great, I guess the players don’t suck either. Unless the numbers are wrong. Because of course they are.

Completely agree, I don't care what the stats say, for the last 2 seasons this offense just doesn't pass the eye test. Everything looks hard and feels like a chore. Like the offense is somehow succeeding in spite of the plays and play calling.

While we are looking at those great stats we should also factor in that he is currently the best at turning the ball over.

And he was the best at that in 2022 with 19.

It matters when talking about reading coverages...and getting the ball where it needs to be or just handling snaps.

So we're saying that for 2022 and 2023, when Dorsey was the OC, JA became very turnover prone. This still leads me to believe that Dorsey was the problem because his offense was overly simplistic in its presentation but extremely complex in its execution. The defense knew what the offense wanted to do, and could easily bait JA into making the wrong throw because the plays only work if everyone on the field is on the same page.

  4. I honestly don't know what to believe anymore at this point. Usually September is a liar and that's been true, but by early/mid November you get a sense of what teams have it and which teams don't. I know which got it in the NFC but in the AFC it's a mess.

Also exciting to note, as I was researching this statistic.

All time rookie record for receptions:

    #1) 81 receptions -- Keith Jackson in 1988

    #2) 74 receptions -- Jeremy Shockey in 2022

    #3) 68 receptions -- Kyle Pitts in 2021

    #4) 64 receptions -- Evan Engram in 2017

At the halfway point of the season, Kincaid is on pace to break the record.

I'm going to be a pedant and point out that Shockey's was in 2002, not 2022

That being said, love what I'm seeing from Kincaid the last couple of weeks.

Except that several "film room guys" and a coach have broken down play after play and shown that Allen in fact has alternatives on many (not all) plays

If you do this for any team you’ll see a lot of the same. You’d be shocked at how hard it is to find an open guy on a broken play in the churn of the pocket with guys barreling towards you. So hard in fact, that they pay people upwards of $40+ million a year for people who are even decently competent at it.

How many easy throws do we see week after week from other teams, with receivers wide open.  Swear it is way more then Buffalo.

AJ Brown weekly makes highlight reel catches.  I can't think one from a Bills receiver this year.

When was the last time you saw a Bills receiver win a 50/50 ball or catch one with a defender draped all over him.

Oh and let's not forget Dorsey's inability to set up a decent screen or YAC.

It’s really not fair to compare AJ to a lot of other receivers. That man is a freak of nature like DK Metcalf. AJ was doing that ***** against teams on the Titans too. Guy is one of few. Why they traded him instead of paying him I will never know.

They were ducking contact and taking chickenspit angles all over the place.

I don't know why that was the case with that particular team, but I could smell the fear from 200 miles away. :(

That's a fair point, but the archetype and the timing are so suggestive that it strikes me as having more meaning than just availability.

I mean, from a psychology perspective, the entire team literally watched an unconscious teammate in a life threatening situation be carted off the field without any clear indication that he was alive/okay the last time they had faced that team. Granted a few weeks passed, and the game against the same team was played in a different venue, but the emotional and psychological triggers are still there. Mentally, that wound was still extremely fresh.

You can make every argument you want but the mind can be a funny place sometimes. Being on that field, against that team, given what had happened less than a month ago could have just been too much for some of them to handle in that moment. That mood/vibe spreads like a virus as well, as people look towards certain teammates for leadership and when they see that those guys aren't in it, suddenly nobody is in it.

Hard to get too high about #3 i mean this dude was sitting on a couch. Kinda same for #1...

    #2 was solid though.

I mean yeah he's in the twilight of his career, but you can afford to wait for the right situation if you've got a ring and already have a few contract extensions and are basically set for life if you weren't dumb with your money. Guy is chasing another ring and almost had one last year with the Eagles doing basically the same thing he's doing right now.

Bears allowing Jaylon Johnson to seek trade...

    "Get er' done Beane!!"

4th highest graded corner this year !!

I don't see us giving up the picks the Bears would want for this. Johnson is also going to want an extension since he's on the last year of his deal. We don't have the cap space and owe Tre a bunch of money. We also owe a bunch of other players money and just punted some cap to next year to make some space this year for contingencies/emergencies.

I just don't see it happening.

Cincy looked like most expected them to look all season yesterday. But this was FAR and away their best game of the year. This is a week to week league. Our offense looked unstoppable against Miami and quite good leading up to that, and then sputtered. A lot of teams can look great for one week and then not the next. Cincy is absolutely stoppable.

Will we stop them? Who knows. But to imply its a foregone conclusion seems silly. And our should continue to improve on what we established Thus.

I'd say playing the Bengals this week has the same level of anxiety as a matchup with the Chiefs, or the Eagles, would have. It's good competition, and the result is really anybody's game. The Bengals are definitely not looking at this as a 'game they should win' and neither are we. They've put together some good games and some absolute clunkers, so have the Bills.

A 2nd and a 5th doesn’t seem like all in to me.  The niners are vulnerable. The eagles are vulnerable.  Dallas has Dak.  The afc is still a conundrum of confusion.  If seattle can become a top 3-5 D, anything can happen.  They have tremendous weapons

I seem to recall a previous iteration of the Seahawks riding an amazing defense, a strong running game and a smart QB who took what was there and the occasional deep shot to a Super Bowl win. Not saying this D is the next legion of boom but there's definitely historical precedent.

  13. Defensive talent notwithstanding, which I think is at a deficit versus the Bengals offense, I have to believe McD is pretty salty about how the Bengals moved the ball against the Bills last year and has this game circled as one he'd really like to win.

There's also been shaky games by the Bengals this year so there's tape. I think McD and his staff are smart enough to think of something, they've been able to make a lot of QBs look very mortal/average. Biggest concern is being able to execute.
