Classic bend/don’t break. Let ‘em chew up time, get yards but deny them points or force them to settle for FGs.
Also think GB was trying to run us out of the nickel D but we refused to budge because it was doing exactly what the Bills wanted.

If you think the Bills' run defense was a problem last night, then you've been drinking too much of the Collinsworth Kool Aid. That was not a winning formula for the Packers and they proved it.
You want to take 7-8 minutes to run down the field and then not convert on a 4th, or end up kicking a FG? Go right ahead. It was a joke of a strategy and should be treated as such.
The strategy works quite well if you have a defense to back it up with.
The Packers do not have that defense.

Everytime I see something like this I think of the Jags game from last year.
The only thing I learned from the Jags game is that the only thing that can stop Josh Allen is Josh Allen.

That’s a really weird way of saying “if we let the other team score a lot of points they’ll probably win”

For a coach that’s supposedly a coaching Sage/savant the handling of the QB situation was a complete and utter fail. He’s created a giant mess moving forward.
I think we’re seeing the at if you take away Dante Scarnecchia coaching the OL, Tom Brady under center and don’t have Josh McDaniels running the offense the Pats are shockingly average. It really is a team game and while BB might be able to maximize what he has on the roster it doesn’t help that he’s a ***** GM and can’t draft to save his life.

Should have retired after his 7th Super Bowl win.
He really had nothing left to prove after that. He should have done the Peyton Manning thing and retired then on a high note.
Instead we’re watching him Favre himself, who just like Brady, just couldn’t walk away.

watch the bucs lose to the panthers sunday (doubtful but the bucs don't seem to be a very good team right now) then the ***** will really hit the fan.
I really appreciate how well this take has aged.- 1

It’s really weird watching games like Bills/Chiefs, you really get a sense that damn, this is what football should look like.
This was not one of those games.

I feel like McDaniel can scheme a good offense but he seems to crap his pants in big moments.

Oof that sequence was brutal

JJ’s hands are suspect. So weird because he was so sure handed in college.
He’s been top 20 in drops since entering the league, breaking top 10 in 2021.

Is that really what the 49ers need? A RB? Weird trade for a team that has always been able to create a good rushing offense under Kyle Shanahan, and probably should be hoarding draft picks.
That offense now has 2 Deebo Samuels is how I think about it. -
Watching Bills-Chiefs reminds me of Manning-Brady matchups and thinking, “oh so THIS is what it’s supposed to look like!”
Even RedZone is lame by comparison.

The shocking thing about his Wyoming stats is that he averaged only 3.2 yards per rush with hundreds of rushes. I don’t see how that’s remotely possible.

Wyoming totals

Its possible if you have a crappy offense where you need to make everything happen.
Josh Allen, with nothing but sheer determination and a fastball, willed Wyoming to two bowl appearances and one bowl win. What had that Wyoming team done before and what has it done since? Yeah he was raw and unpolished, but like Elway used to do, just straight up willed his sometimes crappy team to wins.

IMO, it is irresponsible for Tua to be playing already. He suffers another concussion so quickly after that last horrific scene it will have a damning effect on the entire sport. If the NFLPA or Goddell or that functional idiot McDaniel really cared about player safety they would let him sit for a few more weeks.
It doesn’t matter how long he sits. The instant he gets another concussion, could be Sunday or could be 2 years from now, that narrative is gonna resurface.
He just has the concussion stink on him, probably forever at this point. My hope is he learns to protect himself better and learn when to give up on plays. He gets injured because he wants to make a play too badly every snap. Sometimes the best outcome is to throw it away or just take the sack.

The Jets and Dolphins both have great rosters, but not great QB's. I don't think Wilson or Tua will ever be elite, but Wilson has a higher chance of making it happen. Pretty easy to see either of those teams winning ~10 games.
The Patriots are bad on offense, but have a great coach, and pretty good DEF. They feel more like an ~8 win team. Mac Jones has the lowest ceiling of any of the AFCE QBs.
with the Jets if you can shut down their running game I don’t think they have the line or the QB to win you the game. Their defense could keep things close but you don’t stop the Bills offense, you merely hope to contain it. -

I thought someone would be noting that as I can imagine what was being said online during the game at what were terrible plays/calls.
The scoreboard frankly doesn't belie that the Bills were the much better team yesterday.
Yes can argue the Chiefs would have had 6 more (Int and missed short FG), but then again gifted them a 62 yarder before halftime (Frazier again terrible defence).
But geez the Bills should have had a minimum of 14 more points. McKenzie cost them 10-14 himself and then a great 3rd & 1 call.
When the Bills get it all together, watch out.
The good news, is they've now prevailed in two close games.😉
BREAKING: a sports team that makes lots of plays leaves a couple on the field every game because it’s hard AF to be perfect all the time.
And over to Julie for a weather update.

I’m happy that Daboll is taking a lot of what he’s seen and learned from his time here with the Bills and successfully applying it in his new gig. He’s also surrounded himself with good people and given them the opportunity to prove themselves.
The Giants are playing hard, gritty and getting it done on both sides of the ball. They remind me a lot of the Titans. It rarely looks pretty, but a dub is a dub.
All those things said, I’m also happy he is no longer our OC and calling plays.

Seriously, how are the Jets 4-2?
By playing the same style of game the Ryan teams did: great defense and special teams, run the ball and ask the QB the make the occasional play.

I think McKenzie is a good player, but he blinks. He gets the yips and then gets in his own head.

I think we all knew, and so did Kaiir, that playing zone was a weakness in his game. His responsibility also grew bigger than I think the Bills wanted to at this stage because of injuries to Dane and Benford
So far he looks like he's stepped up to the plate admirably, he's owned up to his mistakes and learned from them. If this is him 'finding his way' this secondary is gonna be something else when Tre gets back on the field.

He's on track to have one of his statistically best seasons ever if we're looking at sack numbers and he's making game changing plays that don't show up on the stat sheet every single week (see that inside stunt on a 3 man rush with a delayed spy that iced the Chiefs game).
That being said he's being paid like he's one of the best pass rushers in the league, so I think he's exactly meeting expectations, not exceeding them.

Is Jamison Crowder going to return at any point?

Ankle fracture and surgery feels like season ending for a slot WR predicated on crisp route running and hard cuts into open spaces.
Best case scenario he might be available for the post season and even that feels optimistic.
