  1. The wife and I were coming home from a get togoether last evening and were driving past Marshawn's house when the Mrs. noted a "For Sale"ign on the front lawn.....just thought I would pass it along...
  2. Not really surprising since they offered three years and their head coach Mike Smith used to be his D-coordinator in Jacksonville.
  3. Amen to that....what is the worst thing that could happen? having to start all over again in 2010....which is likely with or without Terrell. C'mon our most famous and best player ever sits in a jail cell in Nevada...TO might yell and scream but if we were to start out 5-1 again, TO jerseys would be sold out all over the Niagara Frontier..
  4. Amen to that...the Bills only draft philosophy should be, always take the best big guy over the best little guy....it works over the long haul (with notable exceptions like Big Mike Williams) Put Ngata next to Stroud and you could have a 45 year old Henry Jones playing SS.
  5. Also, why not use your time outs... if I recall correctly, Miami had a first and goal at the 8 with approximately 1:20 left.and then ran twice before throwing. Since it was likely they would at least get a field goal attempt, we should have callled timeolut after each run. Yet we let the clock march down to fifteen seconds while not using our three timeouts in order to save the time sohuld they score. Maybe Dick was confused that he still had all three timeouts that late in the half and didn't react. Just another example of poor clock management by the Yale grad.
  6. Actually the Bills would draft 12th as their strength of schedule is weaker than Houston's therefore giving them the higher pick....
  7. Just wondering if anyone had any updates? It seems a waste that he wasn't put on IR earlier if he can't come back now. And does anyone find it interesting that Jauron's reasoning for placing Crowell on the IR before the first game was we might need the roster spot but we can carry Schobel and his bum foot around for 8 weeks with no questions asked? Not to mention that Derek Fine could not play for the first five games as well.
  8. Of course, they did. He's over 30. Of course, he'll probably have 10 picks and go to Hawaii again.
  9. Indeed, although now that we have lost four free agents and signed only three, the possibility of a compensatory pick in the 2008 draft is possible. Yeeeeessss!
  10. Bills trade #12 and 2008 3rd (higher of two picks) to Chicago for Lance Briggs and Chicago's 4th (#130) Trade Value for Chicago is approx. 1250 points or more than what Washington is proposing.. The remaining picks are: 43) Justin Blalock OG Texas 74) Stewart Bradley LB Nebraska 92) Tanard Jackson CB/S Syracuse and for good measure, the Fourth Round 111) Lorenzo Booker RB Florida State 130) Michael Bush RB Louisville
  11. Yes let's trade for Michael Turner. I will give up this year's second thrid and next year's third for a guy with 157 carries in the past three years....c'mon now people, Turner is a glorified backup who is to LT what Kenny Davis was to Thurman. Let's concentrate on finding the next Thurman, not Kenny Davis. Haven't we all been through this before with Rob Johnson....
  12. Wait until after the draft and then offer a 2 and one of our threes in 2008 for him.
  13. Mock does not work---NE traded their #60 pick for Wes Welker.
  14. While it might be a pipe dream, assuming the FA signings noted, what holes need to be filled by picks a second rounder # 3 and third round pick that we did not posess 36 hours ago?
  15. I have a sneaky suspicion that we sign/re-sign the following FAs- Chris Brown, K. Thomas, I. Scott (DT) and A-Train. Then I think Marv throws us all a curve and trades up with a 1 (#5-1200pts), 2 (#43-470-80 pts), and late 3rd (from Baltimore)(#92-130pts) to Tampa at #4(1800 pts)and the Bills take Calvin Johnson. This leaves Buffalo with the following picks: 4) Calvin Johnson 74) CB-- Jonathan Wade/ J. Wilson 107) We look to draft a 3rd Down Meggett type-RB (i.e. Lorenzo Booker from Florida State or Darius Walker- Notre Dame) 169) Depth (LB/S) 203) Depth (LB/S) 223) (from Baltimore) Depth BPA I know that everyone seems to think that Tampa will automatically take Johnson if he is there, and maybe they will. But a look at Tampa Bay's roster revelas they need more than one player as age is starting to eat away at their once proud defense. This trade gives them a boatload of picks in the first three plus rounds (12, 35, 43, 64, 68, 92, and 100) that can be used to load up on replacements for the likes of Simeon Rice, Derrick Brooks, etc. I also think they have a lot of money/ past picks tied up in WR including Joey Galloway, Michael Clayton (#1-2004) and Maurice Stovall (#2-2006). I also think that based upon Jauron and Levy's remarks about Crowell moving to MLB and the signings noted above, the Bills could make this move and still have a good LB threesome (I think Ellison will be good in his second year and Spikes can return to a passing resemblance of his pre-Achilles self), depth on the DL (assuming McCargo comes back strong) and ok in the secondary (assuming Youboty develops). I konow that it involves a bit of assumption on the Bills part but the development of 2nd year players such as McCargo and Youboty is needed whether or not we trade up. I also think they are willing to live with a RB-by-committee for at least this year, especially knowing that they have an extra 3rd next year to move around in what is supposed to be a very good draft for RBs in 2008. I know it's unlikely but can you see Calvin Johnson on one side and Evans on the other? I think JPs development would prosper immensely. Just a thought.....
  16. Ellison is the same size as Cato June, who was also a 6th round pick at one time. He is big enough and with a 36 on the Wonderlic, smart enough to play. Put Amobi Okoyte in front of him and watch him prosper.
  17. If it is true that McGahee and Spikes are to be traded, look for Willis to go to Denver for one of their two 3rd rounders (70, 86) and Spikes to go to NO for one of their three 4th rounders (119,120,122). hey seem to make sense per the needs and availability of extra draft picks for each player and team.
  18. it was my cousin, Greg! I hadn't seen him in years...BTW I think the Whittle signing does not mean good things for our young depth....
  19. No way the Bills select Levi Brown at 12 or even with a trade down, a review of his combine results show a poor 10, 20, and 40 yard dash splits along with less than stellar marks in the bench, vertical jump and broad jump. In reality, Brown is a 3-4 rounder masquerading as a Top 20 pick becuase he started for Penn State for a long time.
  20. Not that bad. Let's assume a 6-7 milion SB with roster bonuses of total about 5-6 million over the next three years and LTBE and NLTBE bonus that if reached would make it worth 4-5 million more for the 4/23 million that has been previously noted.
  21. My father and I just renewed our two seats...19th year and hoping for an upgrade from Section 136...
  22. I seem to recall the reason Henry only had 500 yards last year had something to do with a team suspension that got him kicked off the team.....not exactly a Marv type guy.
  23. It was either that or accompany my wife to my sister in law's house for a family "vacation." As for the criticism that I am devoting approximately 25% of the cap this year to two guards and a CB, I agree with the premise but note that I would rather give it up to three players who I believe can help me improve than 5-6 free agent role player signings like Peerless Price and Ryan Denney.
