  1. No team has ANY incentive to tell a player before the draft they will be trading up for them
  2. Why is speaking against Ralph considered trolling? I have been registered here for 10 years. Glad to see you care more for ralph's immediate family so they can see $200million more when they already have a billion...that should trump the happiness of over a million people ?? If it was povery or $200 million for ralphs family I might agree.... but they already will have a billion....so they are set enough so you can also please the million followers who have supported the team for 54 years Please enlighten me Promo of how this team is guaranteed to stay here and I will keep peace. And if its shown that Ralph made steps to not jeapordize a relocation I will keep peace. So far that has not been shown by anyone..... and if it was not done...I will not praise the person who had the opportunity to do so and refused to do it.
  3. Amen.... and 'we people' built HIS stadium for him in 1973 (jon Bon jovi didnt)...but apparently that was not enough... If Ralph had all along built his own stadium and not asked for our moneys all along the way then I'd listen far more to the chant he can do as he wishes... However it was Ralph who demanded we build his stadium,...and demand that we have to pay for improvements to his stadium.. - he created the 'virtual partnership' with us....after all that I dont think its asking too much to have some type of stipulation that if an owner kept the team local they had first right to purchase the team for a set amount like 1 billion....
  4. So you consider allowing Toronto and other investors into a bidding process is better than avoiding a bidding process completely??? and still achieve a sale price near 1 billion???
  5. We see now the multiple vultures who may come into bid for the Buffalo team. It seems clear now that Ralph easily could have done the following but refused to: 1- Secured a sale before his death to an owner dedicated to Buffalo 2- Secured that price for near Billion dollars for his family 3- He refused to do this - why? so the sale price might even be higher Can anyone on this board imagine being 90+ years old and not taking that deal where your family is more than taken care of AND millions of supporters are left happy for generations? Instead Ralph took the path that could jeapordize the relocation of the team but return a higher dollar and we are supposed to praise this choice? you have to be kidding me..... HOPING a Buffalo group buys and secures this team.....but this all could have been GUARANTEED for us fans AND guaranteed near billion dollar sale for his family.... yet chose not to do this.... I say shame on him......
  6. What in any way would make Howard Simon's opinion matter? Few years ago him and Jeremy were begging the Bills to draft big wr James Hardy with the 11th pick overall (we ended up choosing him in 2nd rd and was total bust) and even when Mike Mayock came on his show as a guest he practically laughed at jeremy and howard for considering hardy with the Bills 1st pick that year - Mayock tried explaining to them that even if they wanted hard he would be there in rd2
  7. In no exact order our needs are at positions that are typically acquired in rd2 of the draft. Guard, Right Tackle, Inside LB, Tight end San Fran has two 2nd round picks (and 2 3rds) and are a team looking for quality over quantity, Using trade Value chart as a guide we could trade out of #9 and receive: San Fran 1st (30th pick in rd 1) San Fran 2nd (24th) San Fran 2nd (29th) San Fran 4th Giving us the following to address our needs: 5 picks between 30th - 73rd Rd 1 (30th pick rd 1) Rd 2 (9th pick rd 2) Rd 2 (24th pick rd 2) Rd 2 (29th pick rd 2) Rd 3 (9th pick rd 3) Rd 4 Rd 4
  8. Yesterdays loss by Peyton Manning reminds me of our superbowls - It does not matter if you have the better QB if your offensive line cannot provide adequate time to operate, Rarely does the weaker off line in the superbowl lose - we should draft accordingly
  9. Looking at his stats, doesn't appear so?? Maybe he's a far superior blocker?? Scott Chandler receptions last 4 years for catches ( 1, 38, 43, 53) Pettigrew last 4 years ( 59, 83, 71, 41) Schwartz would have to explain why the decline to 41 and can it be expected he return to his average near 70 catches Pettigrew did miss 2 games last year - and would be considered a tough blocker which many think is Chandlers weakness
  10. If Schwartz liked Delmas as FS - its possible we could switch ($9 million Byrd) for a (Louis Delmas + 2nd rd pick + $4 mil saving). That's assuming of course we could trade Byrd for a 2nd and Delmas would sign for $5mil/year - and ofcourse Schwartz liked Delmas
  11. Free Agents available from Detroit Our new coaches would have the inside skinny on any of these options QB 6'3 220 Shaun Hill - could be a veteran option, 34yrs old TE 6'5 265 Brandon Pettigrew - 28yrs old - physical made 3.4 mil - 41 catches (prior had 59 83 71 catches) DE 6'4 250 Willie Young - 26 yrs old had 48 pressures/3 sacks a rising young pass rusher in his 4th yr CB 6'1 195 Rasheen Mathis - 33 yr old veteran - signed 1 yr deal FS 5'11 205 Louis Delmas - 26 yr old (drafted 33rd overall) - likely cap hit cut - salary to be 6.5 mil
  12. I have not seen enough of him to guess if he could slide inside- but it seems he has the size to do so at 6'3 248lbs. I remember Wade Phillips had used Cornelius Bennet inside at times and worked very well. It could be the final piece to a tough defense and allow Kiko to move outside to a more natural weak side OLB position. Then draft OL in rd2 and rd 3........
  13. Have good play on the lines and decent coaching. Which is why I am in big favor of addressing the offensive line and possibly add a NT in the draft. Its no secret why the Patriots seem to cut guys who do nothing elsewhere but then pickup has beens in free agency who flourish. Get the lines going and all my WR get an extra second or two to get open (often the difference between journeyman numbers and all pro numbers), watch my RB's go from 3.3 yrd/carry to 5.3 and on and on - especially when you are trying to win with a developing young QB. Pass protection and a consistent running threat are the best tools we can ever hope to provide EJ - not a 6;5 James Hardy type who even if open does no good because your QB is scrambling in the pocket because a Wilfork or a Wilkerson have just drop kicked Legursky into the back field. Dedicate 2 picks in rounds 1-3 to the off line and all will majically be fine - I can even allow for #9 overall to be spent as wished if Whaley then drafts OT/OG in rd2 and in rd 3.
  14. The brilliant and optimistic Paul Hamilton (wasnt he hockey?) just declared on WGR show the Bills have 0% chance of winning out even though we are totally healthy and face the easiest schedule in the league - what a jack
  15. Bill Belicheck had the same with the injury to Bledsoe forcing the starting of Brady.... trust his judgement?
  16. Agree 100% - nothing prevented the Bills from hiring quality coaches more than the knowledge that the team had an old meddling owner that consistently lost and when they did win he fired those that brought the success. All the reason why to go so public today - let all know - the meddling owner is gone - making the job way more attractive
  17. No evidence?? Chan Gailey may be the lowest paid coach in the league now as was his predecessor Dick Juaron - thats about 7 years of head coaching being among league's bottom 3 - coordinators under them are paid accordingly....
  18. Just a coincidence then that for the last decade The Bills head coaches have been the lowest paid and similar to coordinators.. How much do you think our current OC makes?? Better yet can you even name his name?
  19. You got me I was making it up - The Bills have never had a cap on coaching salaries its just that our head coaches happen to be the bottom 3 in the league and they can never identify who the best OC & DC are in the league - they just always seem to choose those OC & DC;s who are also among the very lowest paid in the league...
  20. A Gruden hire would be huge for this organization - and it has little to do with the exact coaching ability of Gruden. Gruden would not be going anywhere that had a "cap" on assistant coaching salaries meaning he could hire a quality OC & a quality DC. In fairness to both Juaron and Gailey they were both limited on what they could offer (thank you Ralph) their assistants and many times in life you simply get what you paid for. Its incredibly penny wise and dollar foolish to put limits on coaching salaries but thats exactly what Ralph and his bean counters in Detroit have always done - and thats why we are perhaps the most losing organization in the NFL since 1960.....
  21. Agree 1000% - with the talent that we have on defense and we are about to set NFL records in poor defense while playing a very weak schedule...he has to go
  22. For the 1 millionth time to this type of logic - there is no other sports station in Buffalo !! Got it?? The desire is not to listen to talk radio - its to listen to SPORTS radio and there is no option but to listen to the continual crap waiting for occasional nuggets of sports info. If there was ANY competition these guys would be gone
  23. all the toys and no production
  24. Lets look at Jets & Pats in preseason jets dont score more than 12pts scores 48 against wanny then scores 10, 23 & 0 today Pats score 34, 18, 30 then 52 on wanny....its disgusting 247yrds rushing,,,,,,vs wanny 34 yrd vs ravens 28 yrds rushing vs cardinals 162 yrds rushing vs titans
  25. Gee i watch the games....very good safety does not mean top 3 in nfl....
