How many DT's do they normally keep? We have 8 on the roster right now, but I think they only keep 5 on the 53 - could be wrong on that. Star and Oliver are safe. Ankou, Bryant and Hester won't make it, so that leaves Butler, Phillips, Zimmer (and possibly Short) to battle it out for the last 2 or 3 DT spots.

Must be tough getting dunked on by a guy shorter than you Cole.

Looking forward to seeing Hodgins and A Williams in action for sure - also more of Dane Jackson! But I will be mostly interested in seeing how Trubisky looks in a new system. Obviously watered down plays but I'll be encouraged if he at least looks somewhat comfortable and doesn't have those deer in the headlights look to him - especially against backups! And Hollister too! Since we've been banned from talking about Ertz, gotta see how our TEs are shaping up.

Yes, I did hedge my bet for sure. He does have a decent record and he clearly has skills, but until I see how comfortable he is playing in this system (even with backup players) I'm gonna continue hedging. 😉 Hopefully all he has to do is ice games during the season (like mentioned above) because we're up by 40 like against the Pats, but past performance is not always a harbinger of current success. Oh and I REALLY loved that game against the Pats late last year! Rubbed it in HARD with all my Pats fan friends!!! Trouble is, they will only be running base vanilla defenses during preseason. Don't think we'll see how the D line really looks until Week 1. But I'm with ya - exited to see our new D line guys - AND Star back in the mix!

12-5 - not sneaking up on anybody this year, but hoping Josh & Co. can step on the pedal and get 13-14 wins. I think that's what they'll need to get more home playoff games. I know the Bills showed they could win on the road but I think getting those home playoff games is really the key to getting back to the AFC title game - then Superbowl. Not rocket science obviously.
