  1. I have a couple thoughts on the topic. I keep thinking about who we have to beat to get to and win a Super Bowl. Is our preference going to be a pressure/pick or a coverage/sack approach. I am leaning more coverage sack because of the success New England has had over the last couple years. Their secondary has been excellent and have been able to frustrate teams with press man and have been able to create confusion and pressure with the DL/LB groups. There are too many good QB's in the league now with an arsenal of weapons. I am leaning for cover people. Would love to add a top end cover corner to go with a big nickel/LB like Kyle Duggar and Jimmy Chinn that we were looking at very closely last year. I don't know who they are yet, but I will in time.
  2. Yes it is. We don’t ever apologize for victory. Good teams find ways to win games when it’s not going your way. If New England is a depleted team, what are we? We are as banged up now as we have been in a long time. Two starters in the secondary missing. Two top linebackers who probably shouldn’t even be playing. Lost our center on the first play and still ran over the Patriots. I’ll take the gutty win every day of the week. We are 6-2 and in first place. Enjoy the Ride.
  3. I am sorry if this has been posted already because I didn’t read every page of this thread, but the first sentence of the last paragraph of the original post that started this thread said “ imagine a Super Bowl decided by a kick”. I don’t drink, but I might now.
  4. How about selling the naming rights to a longtime Buffalo company and call it Rich Stadium? And now they can put the name up with big letters so everyone can see them (Ralph is gone now).
  5. The Philadelphia Eagles came to town to play the Bills and there was a sign that said "An Eagle is nothing more than a big chicken wing" . I still contemplate that to this day more than 20 years later.
  6. "MIami has the oranges, but Buffalo has the Juice" - Howard Cosell "We didn't block well on Offense, but we made up for it by not tackling on Defense" - John McKay " ooh La La Pierre, it's six nothing Buffalo!" - Rick Jeanneret while the Sabres were crushing the Bruins. Not sure which I liked more, Rick Jeanneret getting so excited or that the Sabres were crushing the Bruins.
  7. " Miami has the oranges, but Buffalo has the Juice" "We didn't block anybody on Offense, but we made up for it by not tackling anybody on Defense."
