I would like to see Jones throw a pick 6. Hopefully he throws a few balls past the line of scrimmage. -

Nice. I want to see Jones play when behind a few scores. -

8 runs and a TD. Right after the announcer said Billy B will never let your strength beat him. Lol. -

Elite scrambling and speed by Jones. Get a lead, stop the Pats* run, make Jones be a QB. That’s the key for the Colts. -

His vision to the play clock must be obscured then. -

Jones is in a great situation. BB surrounding him with a very good offensive line, a solid run game, a great defense, strong ST, and game planning that is top notch. The key is to get a lead and take away the Pats* run game. The Bills didn’t do either one despite being home in bad weather. I hope the Colts get the lead early, shut down the run, and force Jones to be a QB. -
Game Week: Week 15 Carolina Panthers at Bills thread

It is crazy indeed. Brown, a 3rd rounder, was strictly a RT in college. Doyle, a fifth rounder, is a pretty raw project. Williams has played RT or RG. Hart is a journeyman and is a borderline NFL player. We went into the season with an unproven rookie swing tackle (Brown). Big mistake. We got lucky that Brown was an improvement over Williams at RT, who has regressed dramatically in one season. Still, there is no veteran swing tackle other than Hart right now. All of theses guys can “play” LT in a pinch, but the drop off from Dawkins will likely be very noticeable. Maybe Brown will be ok at LT? Add to this we don’t even have a proven blocking TE to help the tackles since we traded Lee Smith for a 7th rounder (Wildgoose). Sweeney, our #2 TE has been about as productive as Smith as a receiver, which is a problem. Smith is as a #3 TE, not a #2, and Smith actually blocks like a tackle. I think Sweeney is out this week. To make matter worse our Guards are less talented than our tackles. The OL has been mishandled this off season. -

We agree on interior OL and DL. That is the biggest need. I still think Ford could be gone unless he shows a major improvement. Williams as a swing tackle maybe but he was poor at RT this year, perhaps Doyle beats him out and we save a bunch of salary cap room. We also need a better RB and we should not have to spend a premium pick to find some improvement. We also need a real blocking TE, and a FB that blocks like a pulling guard. These positions should be easy to improve on and will help us around the goal line and in bad weather. We have little diversity in our attack and it shows in the red zone with a short field. No -

I don’t think so. His coach wants to control the LOS. They need the middle three to move people out. Too many times DTs are busting in to disrupt the play, hitting our RBs behind the LOS. Dawkins could bounce back but how good is he? Brown should improve with a year under his belt. Morse could last another year. All the rest are expendable except for Doyle who is a project. The best combination we have: Dawkins, Feliciano, Morse, Williams, Brown - is below average compared to other contending teams. Drsft a stud LT if possible to push Dawkins. Maybe that kicks Dawkins inside to Guard, or maybe the tackle starts at guard as a rookie, Draft a guard that is better than Williams (round 2 or 3) and/or look at free agents too. Fekiciano can back up C/G. Ford is likely gone. Not sure on Tommy Doyle, he is a project. Williams is making too much for a below average guard, The talent on the offense is generally overrated on OL, RB and TE. We lack a good blocking TE and a blocking fullback. We don’t have a heavy package to grind out yards at the goal line. This team is not built to run the ball, not even as a change of pace. -

I am really criticizing the OL, not Daboll. Dawkins is having a bad year, we can blame Covid. Boettger is not good, he is a backup, Morris is ok, not a power blocker but ok. Right guard has been a disaster and RT not much better. It should be easy to improve this next year because it is below average. RB same thing. I keep thinking of Moss against NE running straight into the line at the end of the game on the 5 yard line when Spencer Brown sealed the play to go outside for easy yards and only the CB in sight A good back with NFL speed and NFL vision can read the blocks and cut to the hole. Look at all the long runs against the Bills, not once did the runner go to the designed hole, they always cut back against the flow and found the openings. We need a better back desperately. -

. With Allen they will try to takeaway the deep balls with safeties, the won’t worry about the run other than spying Allen and containing him inside, and then they will blitz in hopes that Josh can’t continuously exploit the underneath. With our bad blocking, poor running, abundance of penalties, and lack of big plays it is the recipe that works. Put Mitch in and it only gets easier as you don’t need as much cover 2, you have extra safety to stuff run, or blitz, or drop into overage. No Allen will give them an extra defender in affect. We don’t have a “heavy package” with 2 big TEs and a fullback. In fact our backup TE is hurt. If Tribisky starts we will need a surprise look and some way to run the ball better. It would be nice to get some turnovers and better special teams play this week. -

The OL can be improved with the draft by using a high pick to take an elite guard or tackle. We might also find improvement via free agency. We can also improve depth by the draft. It could take a few years of playing together to get them elite but it should not be difficult to improve on the OL. -

The problem is that the Bills with Mitch instead of Allen are not that much better than even a team like Carolina. Our offense is one dimensional and depends on Allen to function. Our defense, while good, is prone to give up big plays. Our return game is nothing much either. On top of that we consistently take more penalties and we have been losing the turnover ratio each week of this current slump. Further, we have not one a one score game yet this year. We could beat Carolina with Mitch but we will need much better contributions from players not named Allen. Doubtful we obliterate them, even with Allen. -

Fast processing speed probably is going to lead to mistakes. There is no race to throw a flag. No extra credit for making a fast decision. Experience is far more important. Wisdom gained from experience takes years to develop and should not be underestimated. -

Fix the OL and you fix more than red zone. It all starts with the OL. -

So now your throwing age bias into your ridiculous argument? That’s great. Keep digging. So it’s not a conspiracy, at least admit they blew many calls yesterday and that the game was essentially decided not by the players, but by the referees perception of what is pass interference. -

STOP! We are missing a powerful OL which makes us one dimensional in the red zone looking at a short field. Our red zone offense is plagued by no run game, no pass protection, sacks, penalties, and stress - all because we don’t have a good line. -
The one Romo backtracked on? Romo said it looked short, then there was a second effort with more forward movement. Nantz told the world he got the first down, so Romo backtracked. To me the runners helmet got the first down but the ball didn’t. The spot was generous and there was no measurement. This didn’t cost us the game but the Non DPI calls on Diggs did.
