  1. I actually think the Jets are going to play well on Sunday.

    Reasons being:

    1) Getting healthier-Mims and Darnold are practicing

    2) They typically play much better at home than on the road

    3) They haven’t hit a big play all year. I think maybe if they can connect on a long pass or break a long run that could get the offense going.

The Jets are not a good team, but I don’t think they are 0-16 bad. I definitely see them winning 2-4 games.

  2. Joe Biden has really rose to the occasion in this election. He is going to save hundreds of thousands of American lives and improve the lives of black and brown people.

I also want to thank Nancy Pelosi for her leadership these four years. With her policies working hand in hand with AOC in the progressive wing of the party we are going to change the world!

Climate Change! Equality! Morality! Health Care!

Every republican should look themselves in the mirror and change parties. I am a democrat. I am on the right side of history!

TBF that wasn’t Wallace’s question. He was speaking in the context of protester violence/riots.

That said any time the word white supremacy comes up like that it’s probably a good idea to disavow immediately.

The whole interaction was cringe worthy. All both candidates had to say was they respect their constitutional Right to protest but disavow any damage to property and violence towards humans.

Unless they are idiots - the Jets have to take the QB - just because of the contract.  After this season it is 5th year contract decision and then long term contract time for Darnold and they have wasted his cheap years.

Yes they could get a boat load of picks for Lawerence, but if you figure those spread out over several years - you are to the point of paying your QB 40 million and it will impact who you can retain.

Lawerence resets that window and let’s you spend on FA to build around him and use your draft picks on future talent to grow with him.

I just don’t see the Jets as getting a top 3 pick.  They are terrible right now, but I think around game 6-7 when the pressure is off - they will start to stack a few wins and end up with 4-6 wins by the end.  Darnold will get hot and some teams will overlook them and bam.

I expect Carolina, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, NYG, Detroit, and/or Minnesota to all be in the 2-5 win range with shots at picking before NYJs.

Why would the Jets have to trade Sam in the event and they drafted Lawrence? Can’t they keep both and May the best man win?

Not horrible. Lot of little things that would need to be changed. Couple obvious ones:

Jacksonville is on the Atlantic Coast, while Tampa is on the Gulf coast.

As someone else said, no such division as “Rust belt” If it doesn’t include Pittsburgh.

The NFC north is the only division that lined up to begin with- just call them the Great Lakes division and you’re good to go.

I think Pittsburgh made more sense in then Mid Atlantic so they could keep their rivalry with Baltimore. The other option would be to swap Cincy with Pittsburgh, but the natural rivalry between Cincy and Cleveland was important.

  7. This new MLB schedule would be great. Could you email imagine the spike in game day attendance if matchups were adjusted?

Here is my idea-32 teams and 8 divisons

    Northeast

    NYJ

    NYG

    New England

    Philadelphia

    Rust Belt

    Buffalo

    Detroit

    Cleveland

    Cincinnati

    Mid Atlantic

    Baltimore

    Washington

    Tennessee

    Pittsburgh

    South Atlantic

    Miami

    Carolina

    Tampa

    Atlanta

    Gulf Coast

    Dallas

    Houston

    New Orleans

    Jacksonville

    Midwest

    Chicago

    Green Bay

    Indianapolis

    Minnesota

    Southwest

    Los Angeles Rams

    Los Angeles Chargers

    Arizona Cardinals

    Las Vegas Raiders

    Northwest

    San Francisco

    Seattle

    Denver

    Kansas City

Kakko put up 10G and 23 points... What can you really expect from another 18 year old?  40ish points?  Maybe?

I’m hoping LaFreniere is more like Sid the Kid, Matthews, McDavid. Instant star.

Thank your lucky stars you have the pick.

what a stupid way they obtained it. That’s another story.

I look at the NY Giants in both 2007 and 2011. 9-7 type teams that got hot at the right time to make a super bowl run.

There are countless examples of this from all sports.

That said I agree the Rangers situation was a little different. It would almost be the same as if the Jets were awarded the #1 pick after losing to the Bills in Week 17 2015.

Still, to me fans have a tendency to overhype draft picks. I’m sure LaFreniere is going to become an excellent forward, but you don’t want to put too high of expectations on a 18 year old kid.

  10.

As a die-hard Rangers fan I feel like Im in the minority, but I’d prefer to make the playoffs.

Obviously the #1 pick is a great consolation prize and I was stoked to get it, but at the end of the day I want that shot at a championship.

In the NBA I’d definitely take the #1 pick, but the other three sports (Baseball, Hockey, and Football) are definitely random enough to give any playoff team a fighting chance at a title.

What are your thoughts? Would you rather win a game or series and make the playoffs or lose that game or series and end up with the #1 pick?

I ask because I respect Buffalo sports fans.

So? It was the right decision. What did you want to do with folks in nursing homes?
